The next week someone came out and looked at my car for over an hour to diagnose the issue. I was told by the mechanic he thought it was the ignition switch.Before he left I was under the impression he would order the necessary part and come back out to put it in for me when scheduled. About an hour after he left he called me back to let me know it was actually going to now require more testing and in fact he didn't 100% diagnose it after talking to his boss he was only 80% sure it was the ignition switch....I reluctantly agreed to go ahead and have them come back out because I had already waited two weeks with no car and was in a hurry to get it finished! I have text messages from the mechanic agreeing to come see me on a Tuesday to do the further testing needed to make the diagnosis and order correct part. I texted the mechanic the morning of appointment asking for an estimated time they would come out because I needed to let someone know where I had to hide my key do to not being able to get off work. The man texted back and said he'd check schedule and get back to me. Hours went bye and I hadn't heard a thing. I called and texted several numbers with no response. When the boss did finally answer my third call he told me I wasn't on his schedule until Friday even though again I had text from mechanic proving he put me on schedule for Tuesday. I was very unhappy with my experience here. I don't feel like they care very much about customer satisfaction communication or professionalism on their part. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GIVING THIS BUSINESS ANY OF YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!

At first the messages came and went. Within a few days they appeared every time the auto stop feature engaged at red lights. I brought the car back on 11/20. Almen charged almost 200 dollars to reset codes in the system. These codes were tied to the braking system, which is the same area they worked on. The car had no computer issues before the original service. I should not have been charged to correct a problem that began right after their work. The experience was disappointing. I paid for a repair and then paid again to fix an issue caused during that repair.

As parents we were panicking because we are still several hours away and couldn't help. Our first call was to our insurance company for roadside assistance and it was going to be several hours before they could get someone dispatched out there to help him and he was going to just be stranded on the highway waiting. Luckily we found Garland Tire's number and called them......it was getting close to closing time, but the lady who answered immediately offered to have one of their guys drive out there and remove the tire, bring it back to the shop, swap it out, and drive back out there to put the new one on for us. Incredibly fast, professional, went above and beyond and now our son is safely back on the road home. If we lived in that area we would be a customer for life. These yahoos charged him $427 for a "rush job" (twice what it normally costs even with labor) then made him come back THREE separate times in three days before they released his car. Some rush job! He asked if there was anything else the car needed because he was driving hundreds of miles and needed to start right away because he was now 3 days late to leave. "Nope you're good to go son" In Michigan he broke down and was towed, where they found the part had SNAPPED almost in HALF because not only did Garland Tire NOT replace it like they said but they ASSURED HIM IT WAS SAFE. He could've died on that trip. They lied. They never refunded his money either. Crooks crooks crooks.
