At no point was I told that this was a cash-only price or that the cost would be significantly different if insurance was involved. If I had been told that the actual treatment cost would be approximately $5,500, I would never have agreed to schedule or keep the appointment. For over a week leading up to my appointment, I repeatedly tried to get clarification regarding my orthodontic insurance benefits. I was told that the insurance coordinator would call me to discuss my coverage and answer my questions. Despite multiple calls from me over the course of the week, I never received a return call. The day before my appointment, I called several more times because I had still not heard from anyone. Again, I was told I would receive a callback, and again, nobody contacted me. On the day of my appointment, I still had not received a call and had to reach out myself to get answers. Only then was I informed that because the office is in-network with my insurance, the treatment fee would be approximately $5,500 instead of the $1,299 listed on my treatment plan. This was the first time anyone explained that there was such a dramatic difference in pricing. My frustration is not simply about the cost. It is about being given a written treatment plan, repeatedly trying to get answers for more than a week, being promised callbacks that never happened, and then learning about a several-thousand-dollar difference in treatment cost at the last minute. Patients deserve clear communication, transparency, and accurate information before committing to treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

The receptionist was rude over the phone when I called to request my records. She acted annoyed, didn't listen, and I had to repeat myself several times just to explain that she kept sending me PDF screenshots instead of the actual digital imaging files I requested. And to this day, I still have not received my imaging. She genuinely does not seem to understand the difference, no matter how clearly I explained it. The dental assistant made the appointment uncomfortable and focused on things that had nothing to do with my dental health. And the dentist, Mila Castañeda, barely assessed my oral health before immediately pushing Invisalign. Was very unprofessional asking things about my personal life. She had me do a full Invisalign scan on my first visit without even reviewing my X-rays with me or addressing my dental concerns. When I asked if Invisalign was truly the best option, she simply said yes because "regular braces are harder to clean." No medical explanation. No discussion of alternatives. Nothing. The "cleaning" I received wasn't even close to a proper cleaning no flossing, no thorough scaling, just a quick buzz with a tool and a polish. It felt rushed and careless. I was also told I needed multiple fillings and a deep cleaning yet I was shown zero proof, no periodontal charting, and no clinical explanation. After getting a second opinion, I learned my gums and bone levels are normal and none of the treatment they pushed appeared necessary. This place feels like a sales funnel, not a dental office. Unprofessional staff, incomplete medical records, rushed exams, and pressure to sign up for expensive treatment without real evidence. There are far more ethical and competent dental practices out there. Avoid this place!!!
