Happy Delicia family customers We ate the food too fast for a picture

The tastiest most wonderful food. The enchilada sauce is to die for. The owner was here by himself and took care of our party like a pro. Very kind, I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

    Adobada sope

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered an adobada sope, and it instantly reminded me of my mother's cooking the sope had the perfect crisp and came loaded with toppings. My husband ordered the quesabirrias, and he was very happy with his food (quesabirrias are typically a hit or miss). The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming, with that cozy mom and pop atmosphere. We've lived in this area for a few months now and have been on the hunt for authentic Mexican food, this place definitely takes the cake! The owner, Leonardo, was exceptionally kind and made us feel right at home. That personal touch made the experience even more special. If you're in Shingle Springs or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it!

The creamiest refried beans and light and fluffy rice

Great new Mexican restaurant in Shingle Springs where Los Amigos used to be. The owner, who seated us and who was also our server is a lovely man. He talked to us about how he started out with a food truck and someone gave him an opportunity for this brick and mortar. And how his whole family, especially his mother, is such an asset to his restaurant. We sure hope he does well. But, let's get to my review. Chips and Salsa; you get your own chips but they were light and crisp, reminded me of Chevys chips. And the salsa was not too hot and had the right amount of kick. We then ordered a side of guacamole, which was some of the best I've had. So many times Guacamole is so lemony you can barely taste the avocado. For my main, I had the chicken fajitas and the whole dish was delicious, from the rice to the creamy refried beans, beautifully grilled red and green bell peppers and onions. And very flavorful, marinated chicken breast. So, so good. Hubby had Chorizo enchiladas, a shrimp taco and a bean and cheese burrito. He said the Chorizo was well done and some of the best he has had. His shrimp taco had huge shrimp and was so good he had wished he ordered 2. And his bean and cheese burrito was simple but perfect. So to recap, we loved everything we ordered and hope the word gets out that Delicia has some of the best Mexican food out there. And the portions are large enough to take some home with you, like we had to do because we thought we would be able to finish everything. One last important tidbit of info: the prices are very reasonable . Our bill consisted of Iced Tea, a Coors Light, side of guacamole, Chicken fajitas, 2 Chorizo enchiladas, side of beans and rice, a Shrimp Taco and a Bean and Cheese Burrito. Total $61.27. Not bad for so much good food. We highly recommend Delicia for some delicious Mexican food. Please just give it a try.

Chicken Burrito with Red sauce, Chicken Enchilada and chips

Very authentic menu and food. The environment is very family and the service is great. The chicken burrito was fresh - the Guacamole and sour cream. The chicken enchilada was very good. The salsa is perfect with the chips. Recommend you stop by!

Carnitas Torta , Quesabirria tacos , Flautas

Our food was delicious! So cute inside will definitely be coming back for margaritas soon!

Asada (Steak) Tacos with everything. Cilantro, onions, green salsa and I asked for cheese too!

Valenz catered our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at our home, serving approximately 40 guests. They set up on our deck, and the presentation was fantastic. Their personal service was outstanding, and we especially loved how warmly they interacted with everyone. They instantly became part of the celebration. Our guests enjoyed personalized service featuring tacos, burritos, beans, fresh salads, and custom sauces. Everything was delicious, well organized, and beautifully presented. The breakdown and cleanup were flawless. We could not have been more pleased and only wish we had another reason to do it all over again. As summer winds down, anyone looking for a catering option for a wedding, family gathering, or neighborhood party should strongly consider Valenz Mexican Kitchen.

Great food and beer, we look forward to visiting again.

We made a reservation for our party of 10. Glad we did because this was a poplar place and filled up quickly for lunch. I've never dined here before, not because of any particular reason. But glad I gotta finally. Good food, outstanding customer service, and relaxing welcoming vibes. Service was awesome. Our waiter was on it! He had an engaging personality and did a superb job. Got drinks out, food came out hot n quick and all about the same time, refills attended to without asking, and they even allowed us to split checks (we asked for 3). Awesome! We received complimentary chips and salsa. No complaints there. The salsa was flavorful with a nice thickness. It took me forever to choose... the options were plentiful. I ended up ordering the lamb shank. $23.The shank itself is a distinctive flavor cut of meat. If it's cooked right, it should be moist, fork tender and infused with the slices used. Well ... they did it right! Spiced and marinated giving it flavor to pair with the shank's natural distinct flavor. Mmm. The plate came with Mexican rice and refried beans with flour or corn tortillas. The rice was fluffy. The refried beans were tasty. Prepared well, no aftermath toots. The restaurant is not new but well kept and maintained. Relaxing, family friendly vibes. The interior decor was festive. Beautiful carved wooden booths. They have a separate bar area offset in its own room. The women's restrooms had beautiful colorful tiled bathroom sinks. Fun pop of color.

That was not a good feeling, but then he also did not speak English well. He messed up three of the four items we ordered and of course they all cost more than what we ordered. When we got the bill and told him, he got the cook and we were able to settle everything out easily. We were told that the owner's wife was out so he was serving. We were happy to hear that his serving was temporary :). I am not sure if we received the lunch item or dinner item because our bill was wrong, but I ordered the chile verde chimichanga which comes with rice and beans. It was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! My partner had the bean and cheese lunch and he loved it as well. The salsa was flavorful and mild. All of the food was mild so next time I will ask for some spice! The restaurant is a good size and festive looking. It was clean and comfortable and the prices were good! We can't wait to go back!

Ordered half chicken which husband enjoyed but the rest was thrown out. 4 chicken flautas that were so burnt the meat looked like burnt steak. The chips they added for free were dark brown, the jalapeño poppers over cooked and dark brown was also missing any ranch for dipping. Lastly, we ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat was also burnt black and dark brown bits, no lime served on the side for these. After leaving a 25% tip online we'd hoped to have an enjoyable meal but we were disappointed. Also surprised at whoever packaged the food, letting it be served in that condition was concerning. We'll try elsewhere next time we are in the mood for good Mexican food.
