The sour cream salsa was delicious so don't skip it! Here's my rating of the tacos: Crunchy chicken taco - 8 Fantastic chicken and lots of lettuce. The shell was lightly crisped and held up through all the bites Very good! Chicken taco - 7 Good taco because of the tasty chicken but otherwise ordinary. Carne Asada - 3 Very greasy steak and not well seasoned. This left a greasy taste in my mouth for hours! Hard Pass!!! Al Pastor - 5 Not memorable in any way...pass Carnitas - 5 Not much flavor but had a tinge of crispiness...pass I'd only come here for the chicken, the rest leaves a bad taste in your mouth. This place is my family's go to for tacos. I have had multiple things on the menu, and have yet to be disappointed. It isn't a place where you would sit down to eat. It is more like a to-go / door dash type of place. The service at the counter is always quick and they are able to accommodate any special request I have had from my three kids. They are quick with a recommendation if you ask and they accurately describe their dishes it terms of size, spiciness level etc. There are a few taqueria places in Cameron Park and they all do a pretty good job but this is my first choice, and it isn't even the closest to my house either. read more

This was absolutely the worst Mexican food I've ever been subject to my entire life. I cut open the California burrito and it was just a big wad of french fries. I've never seen anything like it. Welcome to the hood!! Came in on late Saturday evening craving Chile Verde. And it was available this evening. Score!! Placed my order, grabbed some salsa and chatted with the young man working the register. He was very polite and personable. Come to found out he's the owner! Awesome! My food was beyond flavorful and fairly priced. My only concern is when is the owner of the strip mall going to give it a face-lift?!? Sheet looks horrible!! Our gas station looks better! OK, just tried the place again after a long time of not going there we go in place still smells like sewer and we ate outside so we didn't have to put up with that and the food is great. So gave it another couple of days and try it again. It was very hot outside so we didn't wanna sit outside, but we go in and the sewer smell was gone. Food was great again. Service was very good. I will give it another try as long as the sewer smells not there. I would give it a five stars. Funny thing is that same sewer smell was there five years ago when we used to go all the time, but it was intermittent back then apparently they did not get it fixed. read more

Solid local taqueria. I have placed two orders here, one was a pick-up for to-go and the other was a Grub Hub that we were gifted from a family member. Both times everything was packed perfectly. Put simply, you can't get an authentic street taco anywhere without traveling to the deep Sacramento ghetto 45 minutes away. What separates this place from the gentrified versions is the little touches that make the place kick ass: * serious salsa bar with flavors to satisfy both spiceheads and those who're genetically weak with bowels that irritate at the mere sight of a chili pepper seed * tortilla chips that are fresh, warm, fried, and seasoned * sauteed/grilled onions and blistered green & red serrano peppers in your to-go container that add TONS of flavor and heat I've had the asada and carnitas tacos countless times, and they're the only ones that remind me of legit, authentic, tacos from the Bay Area. read more

This joint always hits the spot on all levels, service to the point, efficient, consistent, which is key and just good taqueria flavor. Salsa is the bedrock to any Mexican restaurant. If you have good salsa, the probability that good food follows is pretty high. Simple, no flash but tasty. Breakfast burritos, Chile Verde, shrimp diablo, all goodness. Some might not appreciate the small dining area or lack of it, but primarily, it's a take out spot. Reminds me of a little taqueria shack in north Sac my family has been frequenting for 30+ years. Went there last night for the first time for a pick up order . I ordered two burritos ( carnitas and shrimp ) . My husband loved his carnitas burritos as I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that my shrimp burrito had lots of flavor and not skimped on the amount of shrimp in it . Scrumptious and affordable . We have tried this restaurant several times on Door Dash. Delivery has been exceptional, quick and accurate. We've tried several dishes. Birria burrito, enchiladas and street tacos. So far our favorite Re the street tacos especially the chicken and carnitas. Very flavorful and a good amount of meat. Their red salsa is also delicious. We have found their chips to be consistently stale which is frustrating. It would be great if they offered guacamole. read more
