My colleague and I were at a meeting at one of the hospitals. In the neighborhood and we stopped here for a quick bite, first time trying Ecuadorian cuisine ... we got some free appetizers which were good the fried plantain and corn . Main course was the fish and chicken , we had to send the fish back Bcos it was uncooked and i wasn't impressed with the chicken . We really enjoyed the tropical fruit juice shakes ....very different . I will however not be going back !!

Complimentary appetizer, steamed pork belly and maize

A little family place with great food. Don't expect anything fancy. The staff, (all family) were very friendly.

We were given a pork sample when we came in which was delicious. Ceviche fish was also excellent. A nice little place for a quick bite.

The two people working in there were very friendly and attentive and they recommended the Tortilla con Fritada which was very good.

The bread service was fantastic. The tomato focaccia and the baguette were both excellent and I had to remind myself not to fill up on it before the main meal! LOL! We started with the calamari which was very well seasoned and clearly not the typical frozen version you often see from foodservice distributors. It tasted fresh, was crispy, and well prepared. For dinner I ordered the margherita pizza which was simple and delicious. I ended up ordering a second one to-go for my partner who couldn't make it to dinner. He also loved it - even after it sat for ~30 min or so while we chatted more, then drove home to the Maywood area. I would imagine their delivery is pretty good based on that! My mom had the rigatoni vodka with added crumbled Italian sausage which she loved, and my dad ordered the Marcelino. He loved the generous amount of seafood and how well seasoned it was. My parents are big wine drinkers and my dad was especially impressed with the wine list and the selection available. Oscar was an incredible server!! He struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still letting us enjoy a relaxed, unhurried evening. The support staff and food runners were also fantastic and very friendly, making the entire service experience feel polished! I also loved the kitchen was more open which gives you confidence in the quality and care that goes into the food. The dining space is inviting with a nice bar area and an additional room that looks perfect for busy nights or private gatherings. Overall a great restaurant that we would absolutely return to!!

It took forever to get our first dish and then towards the end it seems like they forgot to bring out the last dish. We started off with their sangria, and then ordered their Patatas bravas, euro bacon, queso de cabra, and their Paella Negra. We were really pleased with all the dishes. The Paella Negra came with green peas, mussels, calamar, pulpo, and langostines. They use squid ink to make the rice black. I ate paella twice when I visited Barcelona, and this version is the most similar to what I had in Barcelona. Not quite there yet but hopefully I can find something locally. This version I will say was really tasty. The euro bacon was probably my wife's favorite. Stuffed dates wrapped with bacon. The queso de cabra was one of my favorites. Love the bread and the goat cheese inside the tomato basil sauce. And the patatas bravas. It's really hard to mess this one up. Everyone does these different, some make it a little spicier, some add aioli, here they offer two versions. One with aioli and the other with the spicier paprika sauce that isn't too spicy. They should swap out the paprika to cayenne. And they only offer one version and that is with both the aioli and the spicy sauce in the same dish. Overall we were really satisfied with all of the dishes and we can definitely see ourselves returning in the near future.

I asked one of the staff members and immediately they reassured me that the side street would raking was totally fine to park just so long as it wasn't the front of the building where you have to pay. The food started with a complementary potato soup which was flavorful and lovely. We got a round of drinks and one of our party didn't care for her drink and it was replaced no question. We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. It was a nice cap to the end of a wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion - I would love to come back and try some of the other items on their menu.

The ambiance is intimate, romantic, and just feels exclusive without trying too hard. I took my girl there for her birthday and she absolutely loved it -- which is always the real test. We had the ribeye and the Rotini Bianco, and both were excellent. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The Rotini Bianco was rich, creamy, and done just right. Every dish felt intentional and well executed. Don't hesitate to book. If you're trying to impress or celebrate something special, this is the move.

There were so many great sounding things on the menu, with gluten free and vegetarian options. We ended up splitting the calabaza- an acorn squash stuffed with mushroom risotto and also the wild mushroom tostada. The calabaza was great for winter, warm and filling. The tostada was lighter but really delicious, it was probably my favorite of the two. It was a great dinner, that I would definitely visit again if I'm back in town.

Street parking is a challenge but they do offer valet for 5.00. They have a fantastic patio that is open in the summer so we will definitely be back to enjoy a few cocktails and Latin American eats.
