A very belated thank you and sincere appreciation for the entire team at Quartino for making our bachelor/bachelorette party dinner SO MUCH FUN! The team worked so hard to make our night so special and deliver the highest possible customer service and the most incredible food and drink. Every member of our 15+ person dinner agreed - the food was BEYOND delicious! We ordered mostly pizza and pasta and there was absolutely something for everyone. My favorite is the funghi pizza and I'm still dreaming of it. I've been here several times before and have always thoroughly enjoyed every single menu item I've tried (shoutout the minestrone soup!) . Also - believe what you hear - the espresso martini and their desserts are some of the best in all of Chicago! My only regret is not remembering our servers name - he served our large party on the 2nd floor in the evening of 7/18. He was incredibly patient with us and a master of multitasking. One of the managers Brock came by to check up on us and I think we bent his ear for an hour raving about how much we appreciated him and his teams for their hard work in a full restaurant for making us feel so welcome and special. I cannot express how wonderful he and the rest of the team were to our group and how perfect they all made our night!

Kari's Rating 8.25/10 TLDR: -Wine selection that comes in quarter liter servings -Shrimp risotto was incredible -Staff was attentive I've been here so many times and it's relatively average every time I come. I always try and order the ricotta with bread and honey. It's the perfect sweet savory appetizer! The shrimp risotto I've never gotten before but it's been surprisingly flavorful, even though risotto's traditionally heavy. The Moscato de Asti as refreshing and light but I wish it was a bit colder. It kinda of came out room temp in a short glass-so I didn't finish it all. The tortellini with prosciutto was a crowd favorite but very heavy. Left in a rush but it was overall an enjoyable meal.

Came here on a friends recommendation and love loved it!!! The food was so delicious, everything we had was 10/10. The balsamic they have on each table were also so delicious my friends bartered with the manager to buy a couple bottles :D 5/5 food - we had the bruschette, sausage and mushroom pizza. gnocchi, and bolognese pasta. would recommend them all!! 5/5 service - our waitress (Georgia) was so nice we were all locked in on the World Cup game playing 5/5 vibes - a nice medium between upscale and casual

Stopped by Quartino on a gloomy, rainy day. Seating arrangement in the restaurant is very compact, but also provides a cozy vibe. The quality of the pasta was great! We got the pappardelle along with the gnocchi. Gnocchi was our favorite. We also ordered the Kale pizza which I really enjoyed. They serve Neapolitan pizza and it was very tasty. The reasons I am giving 4/5 stars is due to our original table not having balsamic for the bread service, and there was water dripping from the ceiling onto us.

Make reservations or take a chance that there might be a few open seats at the bar. We were there at 7:30 on a Thursday. The place was hopping and there was a line of people waiting. The restaurant has dim lighting. We sat at a high top table in the bar and it was hard to read the menu. Lots of people seem to order pizza but we had a few other dishes. We started with the GIARDINIERA ROMANA - really good! We then shared the Artisan sausages and the Orecchiette. We finished the meal sharing a HUGE piece of delicious Tiramisu and Limoncello. Service was spotty. It is dark and loud in the restaurant. Was it the best Italian food we ever had ...no. Was it good, yes!

Exceptional and fast service. Quality food. Loved the pizza and fresh pasta. Only complaint was that it was very loud and very busy. It was difficult to have a conversation. Nice that it was open late for after the theater.

During a slow lunch, the kitchen made an extra pizza and they gave it to us! DELICIOUS kale and tomato pizza, something I'd never usually try but so happy they offered it to us for free! Wonderful service, food was authentic and creamy, and wonderful complimentary bread.

Come early to avoid waiting in a long line. This place is 100% worth the hype and wait! They have an extensive list of menu for everything. What's really nice is they offer half portion of pasta so you can try more in one visit. My personal favorites were the meatballs and all pastas. The pasta was freshly made and satisfies every moment of your meal. Staff were incredibly friendly. Service is great but could be on the slower side - it's supposed to be a chill and fantastic dinner anyways so don't rush through your meal just to make it for your next event. Enjoy!

    Mushroom risotto

Kale salad was the best. The risotto had a good mushroom taste but was too al dente for my wife's taste. The meatballs were fine but you get 3 tiny meatballs and the dish is like $9 so value kind of low. The restaurant was super busy on a Sunday night in July. We sat at high top at bar so fortunately no wait. Dishes come out at all random times and can be slow. Have to be patient. Not pictured is a bolognese dish that was pretty good, my 12 year old approved. Decent but not special in my opinion.

Exceptional service and small plates, the perfect dining experience all around. Nestled on the corner of N State Street Quartino is packed with great food and an enforceable dining experience...reservations are a must. We ventured out as a family of four, made reservations in advance for a Saturday night and were ready to feast. The wait staff was s vey accommodating, especially with how busy the bar and restaurant are, think packed in like sardines. Huddled around a small table barely big enough to fit 4 chairs and the abundance of plates, glasses bottles of wine not to mention the never ending small plates, you felt like you were at Sunday dinner. The menu is set up for sharing and you might think it won't be enough but you will still have plenty leftover. Starting with warm olives, minestrone, fresh burrata and tomatoes, and galleria white bean dip with plenty of grilled bread we were content, the flavors complimented each other and were full of fresh flavor. We then moved on to pasta, tortellini with peas and prosciutto, white clam linguine and tagliatelle bolognese, each one better than the next. The perfectly cooked pasta with tons of garlic and fresh herbs, meats and cheese were incredible. When we thought we couldn't eat anything else we were offered dessert. The warm hot chocolate cake with vanilla gelato was rich and delicious and the caramel bananas with biscotti and vanilla gelato were decadent and delicious! A truly great dining experience, totally worth the close quarters.

    Pappardelle Al Sugo Di Pomodoro
    Alicia M.

I had a reservation at Quartino, and we were seated but never assigned a server. The restaurant wasn't that busy given that it was 9:30pm on a Sunday, and we were seated for 30 minutes without any service until I asked someone walking by if we could place an order. Throughout the meal we never got any refills on our water, still didn't have a server, and weren't able to get our check. Luckily there are QR codes at the table so we were able to pay and leave after we finished eating. The Pappardelle Al Sugo Di Pomodoro pasta tasted fresh and the meat was flavorful, but it could've used more sauce and salt. The Campania pizza was bland, had soggy crust in the middle, and tasted like ricotta with some cherry tomatoes on top with a hint of garlic.

Great service. Amazing food. It does come out at different times. You can also order half plates to share! The gnocchi was amazing. The lasagna was a showstopper.

This place was pretty good! We ordered family style dishes, and I got to try a variety of the pastas, meat dishes, and of course the complimentary bread, which the waiters had kept bringing more and more, which we truly appreciated!! The menu is pretty extensive. The portions are not super big though for the price, I wish they were larger. Nevertheless, the food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the gnocchi dish, and the pasta alla vodka dish. The place had two floors, and I could tell is was super popular by how many people were dining in. There was like no empty table! The servers were fantastic.

I wanted nothing more than to ring in year 45 with a great glass of natural wine... and I walked out having had a 7-glass flight and one of the most memorable evenings of the trip. The bartenders deserve their own star. They weren't just knowledgeable--they were genuinely fun to talk to, the kind of people who make you feel like you've been coming there for years. We went from discussing funky wine profiles to diving deep into '80s horror films, which is absolutely my idea of a perfect tangent. Their enthusiasm and curiosity made the whole experience feel personal and spontaneous. As for the wine: unique, surprising, and delicious, even the pours I didn't expect to enjoy. Good Funk leans into exploration in the best way--nothing feels generic or predictable. Every glass had its own personality, and the flight felt like a curated adventure rather than a lineup. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, stylish without being pretentious, and perfect for either a solo wind-down or a lively night out. It's the kind of place that encourages you to linger, taste one more thing, have one more conversation. Good Funk turned what could've been a quiet, forgettable evening into an unforgettable birthday-eve celebration. If you're in Chicago and love natural wine--or just love a spot with genuine heart--don't miss this place.

We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.
