Order through doordash some burritos, while eating the burrito there was a piece of something long and white, it look almost like a piece of plastic but it wasn't since it was extremely soft. Stopped in for lunch based on some of the positive reviews. The woman who greeted us and waited on us was very rude and harsh. My husband had an omelet which was quite bland. I had a chile verde burrito which was 90 per cent rice and 10 per cent beans, sauce and meat. I was charged $4 for a tablespoon of sour cream and my husband's one cup of stale coffee was $5. My husband and three teenage boys (football players/big eaters) came here for breakfast on 11/10/2024 while in town for OSU's Parents Weekend. The food was amazing and the service was great. The boys each got a fresh fruit juice to start which looked fantastic. I got the sweet potato and bacon omlette with hashrowns - best breakfast I've had in a long time and would 100% recommend this place for families. My husband got the a different omlette and loved it. One of the boys got the french toast and our youngest got the crispy coconut pancakes with a couple of poached eggs on the side. I don't think any of us had a single bite left on our plates when we finished. We heard they are well known for their breakfast burritos which we'll definately try next time we're in town. Came in for the advertised Sunday buffet only to find it very picked over. We asked our server if it would be restocked to which he replied that not only could we personally request anything that was out of stock, but he would also be watching for anything that needed to be restocked. Reassured, we got our first plates of the buffet leftovers, hoping it would be restocked as we ate. When we went back for seconds, none of the food had been restocked, and when we tried to point this out to a server, she immediately walked away to restock only one of the empty containers. We told the servers about the other empty containers and they were able to restock some but "forgot" about the others until the buffet ended. Can't speak for the very beginning of the buffet but do NOT come towards the middle if you want to leave unsatisfied. read more

I don't really care for buffets, so this review is for menu-ordered food. These guys are not the flashiest restaurant in town; you could be forgiven for not really realizing there's a good Mexican place in this strip mall. There's decent parking, but the signage is quite modest and when you get to the door you wonder whether there's much seating inside. Fear not. The dining room is not brightly lit but it's well decorated, very clean, and there are at least a couple dozen tables. The menu goes for several pages, all of which are tucked inside plastic covers. They serve breakfast off the menu all day; apparently they're known for their buffet, which might go for quite a while for all I know. I did see a kid of about 16 put away three GIGANTIC plates of food from the buffet--at that age, you can not only get away with that kind of eating, but you almost need it to quell your hunger. For high school kids in growth spurts, I bet this place comes in handy. Anyway, the menu options are fantastic. This is without a doubt your Mexican place in this part of the Willamette Valley. There must be other good ones but if you're passing through like we were, this will more than satisfy. The huevos divorciados are amazing--perfectly cooked eggs, non-greasy chorizo, tender beans with a bit of tooth to them, and rich, vibrant salsas on top. The chilaquiles were also spectacular, maybe even moreso. The service here is so nice--warm and friendly, and right on top of the water, coffee, and iced tea. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality on offer. Can't wait to come back. read more

I found today on my first visit to this restaurant, a huge disparity between the reviews I looked at previously and the food I (we) ate today. I want to make it clear that the service, our server was excellent! The portion sizes were good! The ambiance was good and our booth was comfortable. However, the quality and freshness of the food was VERY poor. Nothing tasted fresh ... and it was the texture of the food that made the lack of freshness very obvious: it was like mush. The food ... all of it, was quite bland ... not seasoned at all. I had a fried item and that had a bad after-taste .... what you get when something is cooked with rancid oil on a grill that hasn't been maintained and cleaned. This is Food 101 .... anyone who begins to cook for others should know all of this. My stomach has been in distress since the meal. Sorry to have to leave a review like this, but considering what we paid for our meals, we expected a lot more. No plans to ever return there again. read more

Food was ok. My first bust and I took a party of 6 in for a lunch and my credit card was charged 3 times due to issues with the card reader. I get that this is a small business, but the owner did nothing to help me resolve the issue easily. I was asked to come back in to resolve so she could call the reader company. I came back around my lunch break and she said it wasn't a good time due to the lunch crowd(was not crowded at the time). I did go back a few days later in the morning, she called the reader company, and had me wait for well over 20 minutes. For them to come on the line to resolve the issue. I have now spent well over an hour of my time trying to get a refund for the overcharges. I judge small businesses based on how they handle issues. The attitude was that this was my problem to figure out, no offer of trying to address it on her own or even a free cup of coffee while I was waiting. I moved to the area from Portland afew months ago and this is one place I have wanted to try ever since. I finally went this morning for breakfast and was not disappointed! I ordered the huevos rancheros and my girlfriend ordered their Tex Mex skillet. They both were superb! The huevos rancheros were perfect. The seasoning used was not over powering as some places, and I did not feel like a rock was in my stomach. The skillet seemed to be a perfect size for someone that was pretty hungry! The huevos rancheros were more than I could eat and brought the rest home! We also ordered two iced coffees. They were not exactly what I expected at first. It is not really a big coffee taste, they were sweet! But they were sure good. This will be a go to spot for me for sure! This is a cute little cafe in Corvallis, Oregon tucked away in a small strip mall. I've been going there since way before COVID. I believe it is a family owned business. The interior is a bit dark due to its location in the mall, but the food (Mexican and American) is "deliciasl. The food is fresh and tasty. APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! If I could leave negative stars I would. A generous family donated $450 worth of gift certificates to our company to use for our staff. We ordered food for our staff and when we picked it up, they refused to honor the gift certificates. After some back and forth they only gave us half our food and took all $450 worth of gift certificates and told us to never come back. I am discussed at the behavior of this restaurant. I will be sure to tell EVERY ONE I come in contact how appalling their behavior was. read more
