As a vegetarian, I'm happy to indulge in the big ass burrito anytime. It literally is too big to finish in one sitting, but you know I have. My friends have had many of the carnivore options, and they have not voiced any disappointment. The salsa bar is my favorite. It is that creamy jalapeño salsa that wins me over. The joint is divey for sure, and you can gamble or just have a drink. The barkeep is friendly and keeps things moving. It was clean and tidy inside. I'm happy to support such a fun easy breezy spot. I love this place. The lady who owns/runs it is so nice and the food is so fresh. The specials are always good. Today I had the rockfish tacos and it was only 8.95 w/rice and beans. My auntie ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I told her I would smack her if she ordered American food at a Mexican restaurant but she did anyway ;-). As I commenced to commandeer her fries, I noticed that they don't have that icky taste occurs when the friers aren't regularly cleaned like at a lot of places. Basically, everything tastes super fresh even though it is healthy. Nothing is greasy and it always tastes like they put some love in the food. I love this little hole in the wall, I wish it was closer to my house. It also has a very soothing color scheme. It feels like you are eating during a sunset. I didn't come here for breakfast today but their breakfast is also really good. And it's nice when you don't feel like waiting in line at one of the downtown places just to be seated. read more

It has been exactly 6 minutes since I ingested the veggie tamale combo plate from Delicias and I can feel my stomach gurgling and churning, I feel an explosive bowel movement coming on and I am thankful for having two bathrooms in this house. Not only am I feeling pain from this damn combo plate it was also a HUGE disappointment, it was so disappointing that I felt compelled to make a yelp profile just so I could give an honest review of this place. The food was more bland than a nursing home meal and looked worse than a T.V. dinner. I was bummed when I realized that the tamales were filled with a frozen pea, carrot and corn mix, such a devastating combo of subpar vegetables, all of which were wrapped in masa that had an unusual taste, if I had to guess I would say the masa was cut with coffee grounds. I am feeling relieved that I paid for this terrible, terrible meal in cash, after reading about mysterious charges being made to peoples accounts after eating here. read more

We had the Pork Verde Burrito - just a touch of spice and wonderful saucyness - and the Steak Nachos, which definitely tasted as good as it smelled (which was amazing), plenty of steak chopped into little bits so you could get some of everything (steak, guac, sour cream and cheese) in every bite. Oh, and portions were enormous - enough to eat tomorrow for lunch! Great place to take the family, something for everyone, reasonable prices, very clean. Food was great. They have a lot of Mexican inspired breakfast dishes. I got the Carlitos Burrito and my girlfriend got the Veggie Burrito, both were delicious. We have gone to a few Mexican places in Corvallis, and this was the first place we went to that cared about presentation. It wasn't anything over the top, but when the food arrived it looked great; simple but appetizing. The place has a nice atmosphere and features local art, most of which is for sale. One of the owners was our waitress and she was very nice, even though we came in near the end of the day. Overall it was a great meal, we will definitely be going back. read more

Owwwwiie my tum tum hurts after eating here moments prior, and I immediately started clenching my bunghole to contain the inevitable explosion. This food was so dang bland I couldn't taste it, I just kept eating and chewing, eating and chewing, just so as to not waste my ten dollars. Even the hot sauce and the guac was boring. Sheesh. The carnitas Jalisco style tacos: as if they took the ideal image I had in my head, put it on a plate, and then far exceeded the carnitas my apparently drab imagination came up with. They give you a decent sized cup for the horchata, and you self-serve from the "soda fountain" (no free refills on horchata). The flavor and consistency of the drink were spot on, with just the right amount of cinnamon, and not too thick. Perfect accompaniment to my lunch. The chips & salsa came out with a large enough portion of chips for the three of us, and small cups of 4 different dips -- a smoky salsa with a slight kick, pico de gallo, refried beans, and a thin "guacamole salsa". All were delicious, although we had more of the dips leftover after the chips were gone, so they may need to even out their proportions there. My tacos were very flavorful, and actually *over*-filled with meat (that is not a bad problem to have). I added some of the supplied jalapenos to each, a little of the smoky salsa, and generous squeezes of lime; and my taste buds were quite happy. The pastor was not the most flavorful I've ever had, but still very tasty. The carne asada was definitely my preference of the two meats. Everyone in our small group enjoyed what we had, and we'll definitely come back again. It was all delicious.
