And luckily she chose Heritage Pointe. What a great place! The caregivers are so kind and knowledgeable and hard working. The management is committed to exceptional care. On move in, the staff arranged and rearranged, hung, moved, catered. They painted the apartment to the color of her choice. There is weekly sparkling housekeeping and one day laundry service. There are all levels of care from independent living to memory care. She needed help with showering and dressing. But in addition, someone would always pop by to check on her in the morning, make up her bed and set a small breakfast. And they checked on her all day. Always going the extra. There is plenty to do. There is a pool, a movie theatre, a workout room with personal trainers , an on-site physical therapist, a library, classes, lectures, guest speakers and performers, happy hour, a piano lounge, a hair salon, transportation to all of the local shops and conveniences and a coordinator to arrange a driver for doctor appointments. There are three meals in a lovely dining room. The staff and the residents are very friendly and make sure that a new arrival is introduced to and assimilated into the community and she made what became close friends In a medical emergency, Provident Mission Hospital which is a Level2 trauma center is only one mile away. He has a logical disposition and maintains levels of communication necessary for patient recovery and understanding. He does not present with excessive pride commonly characterizing many medical professionals. He allows for in depth discussions to occur regarding the conditionality of the patient. I do not currently have any complaints about this individual. Dr. Jacqueline Malekirad is unimpressive, but nonetheless goodnatured. She is predisposed to gentleness. The structural properties of the office result in relatively quickened response times, however the phone directory may be slightly florid for individuals with difficulty in this regard. The medical assistants are unremarkable themselves however, inevitably excluding most of the nurses who typically remain in the back administering intravenous fluids to patients. Most of the nurses are kind and likely possess psychological compatibility with the majority of the population. Personally however, I do not appreciate what I consider to be excessive flamboyance. As of now, I cannot suggest insufficient competence exists at this office. Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2024

I…read moreknow this because of the multiple calls I receive in a day from Bertha and some of first words out of her mouth are " The people here are nice to me!" These words are so comforting to me since her parents left their special needs daughter in my care. Recently Bertha's mother passed away and this was soon after she had visited Bertha at ActivCare. After the loss of her mother, there was so much love shown to Bertha by all the staff. Marlene M. the program specialist would frequently call and update me on how Bertha was feeling during this very difficult time. Marlene has made my life so much easier in so many ways by letting me know what Bertha needs, updating me on the activities she participates in and those she does not and how she is feeling emotionally. She often goes in her room to make sure Bertha's closet and room are in order. I know Bertha is well cared for! Bertha is a social butterfly and she enjoys talking with others. I have often dropped by, unannounced, and seen Marlene and Bertha laughing and talking. Marlene also engages lovingly with other residents as well. She is such a kind and caring human being. I feel as though she is a part of Bertha's family. Thank you ActivCare for choosing such wonderful staff!!! Sincerely, Darlene D.

She has a smile on her face and is in a cheerful mood that is wonderful to behold. I am so glad we have the facility for her to attend and be provided with new, and stimulating activities each day. The staff is very caring and friendly, not only to my wife, but also to me. There is comfort in knowing that the loved ones we care so much about are spending quality time with staff that sincerely cares about them - and us, the caregivers. The facility sponsors several free seminars throughout the year that are very informative with subjects focused on the caregivers and their needs. It also hosts a monthly Alzheimer's Association caregivers discussion group meeting for those wishing to share their experiences, and gain form those of others. I highly recommend The Mount of Olives Adult Day Program to anyone who is looking for a program for his or her loved one who could benefit from socialization, special attention, caring, and understanding they would get there. Also, if you have a loved one who depends on you, you should consider your own wellbeing, and make every effort to provide for yourself some free time from the responsibilities that are upon you, by considering the Mount of Olives Adult Day Program.

Secondly, you probably already know that almost all of these facilities suck and are many flavors of sketchy. NOT this place. The Orchards gives off a whole different and positive vibe from the start when you walk in the main entrance. Everything is clean, actually clean, even the patient bathrooms, closets, behind the doors, everywhere is clean. The ratio of staff to patients is SO MUCH better than other facilities my family member has been too. I believe there's maximum 50 patients. The bedrooms are next level. They have 4-5 options ranging from a shared room with two people, to completely private with your own bathroom and living room/lounge area, obviously at a higher price point. But even the shared bedrooms are awesome as they have a closet/cabinet that divides the room, not just a sheet. Makes it so much better to have that division. ***Most importantly the Rehab staff is AMAZING!!!*** The amount of effort and thought they put into the individuals rehabilitation program is far greater than any other facility we have been to. They aren't trying to milk the process and allow people to just sit doing non productive activities just so they can bill for it. They're constantly assessing and evolving the game plan as they go. 10/10 best team of therapists. hands down. bar none. The staff communicates extremely clearly and reach out if they have pertinent info in regards to my family members health, progress, and well being. Which is something I've never experienced, usually I have to track people down and it's like pulling teeth to get answers or info. The food is good, and comparably to other places it's the best menu I've seen. Don't get me wrong it's not gourmet living but they have solid options. When you see a plate of food, it actually looks a cooked meal, not school lunch slop. They also have off menu items like sandwiches and what not if your family member is a picky eater. If you got this far in my Mega novel of a review then you obviously are deep in the process and looking for answers. Again, sending you all my good energy and if you can get your family member into The Orchards, don't hesitate and end up in another depressing SH**hole, pull the trigger and give your family member the best chance at success. Much love -Rich

Every single staff member was wonderful and truly went above and beyond. Sara K, Elizabeth (Liz), and Dee were exceptional--compassionate, attentive, and always making sure my mom felt cared for and supported.
