We just recently spent a week at Dellanera and we were just feet away from the beach. We had a great view oceanside from our RV windows. They have a nice laundry facility, game room, showers and restrooms. They had conveniently placed trash receptacles that were emptied in a timely matter daily. I like that we were just minutes from the activity on the island, yet we felt we were away from it all.....peaceful. There is an upper deck with lots of seating to enjoy the sunrise or sunset. We plan to go back again next year.... read more

Nice, quiet, small RV park! RV'd are spaced apart nicely. Gals in office are very nice! Laundry machines worked good, ($2 wash/$2 Dry), but the room itself needs a good cleaning! (Why I gave it 4 , not 5) read more

Cute RV spot with direct beach access. We stayed along the back where the overflow pond is and really enjoyed it. Location has a decent bath house (passcode required). Entrance is easy to pull into regardless of which direction you are driving. No pool, but you have beach access and cornhole boards. Because of the proximity to the beach, we would stay here again. read more

we cancelled due to family er. it was a sat 051626. 7 days prier to reservation. no phone engagmnent upon call . left an email with reservation info requesting to cancel. EMAIL RIGHT ON HOMEPAGE AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION. only to follow up by phone on Monday to confirm and told we still need to pay for at least one night per reservation. Super lame. Who doesn't have email direct to their phone on weekend. run by boomers. read more

I don't want to write a rave review because I don't want everyone flooding to this place when I want to go, but by far the best RV park I have been to so far in my 3 month long journey of constant moving. Was only there a couple days but it was clean, convenient and right on the Gulf. Will definitely be back. read more

We're relative rookies when it comes to pulling an RV to our vacation destination, and I think we made a huge mistake by coming to Dellanera RV Park so early in our travels. This place spoiled us. First, it's a hop, skip and jump from a quasi-private beach area. As you can see from my photos, only a dune separates the sea-side lots from the shore. And getting there is easy, with a short stroll over the boardwalk. The staff here is outstanding -- from the folks doing regular trash duty to the ladies in the store. They seem to really like their jobs, and it shows. This park is clean and well-adorned with more amenities than you can shake a stick at. -- Our site had 30/50 amp hookups, water, sewer and a nearby trash barrel. Not to mention, there is a picnic table and a built-in grill. The pads are concrete and the grounds are trimmed nicely. Need a hot shower in something a lot roomier than your RV? Dellanera has those facilities too. Want a bag of ice without having to drive up the road and pay three times too much? Check out the store ... it's smack dab in the middle of the park, right along with restrooms and shower facilities. So, why was it a mistake to come here? Because I doubt there are too many RV parks out there that can measure up to what Dellanera has to offer. Guess we'll just have to reserve a spot here again ... and again. read more

Surprisingly great RV park! Level sites, full hook up, and very friendly staff. Beach access within 50 yards at most. Highly recommend. Recommend if your camping take some perimeter bug spray with you. Ants at campsites probably from peoples food. Stop for live bait before you get there if fishing, they have frozen on site. read more

One of my favorite places on the planet. It's not really much more than a parking lot with full hookups, but it's a parking lot with full hookups...on the beach! Spaces are big enough for our larger than average rig. Laundromat and bathrooms are adequate if needed. But Dellanera is one of the only if not THE only RV park on the beach side of the road. You can step out of your RV and be on the sand in a matter of seconds. Heavenly! It's only about 5 minutes down the road from Walmart and the rest of the Galveston stores. Very convenient and quiet enough for me. read more

Everything is okay except their Wi-Fi that they advertise to have in their brochure. We stayed 3 nights and we could not get ANY network signal the entire time we stayed there. When we called about the issue, their answer is "too many people are using it". They did not issue any discount at all. It's safe to assume there is no Wi-Fi there. read more

When my family comes to Galveston for a day at the beach, we ALWAYS come here. It's a great, clean beach to visit. Parking is $15 for a day. There are clean restrooms and showers to use if you don't want to drive home stinky and salty/sandy after a day in the sun. If you want to. Ring your RV and camp here it's about $50 with all the hook-ups. The beach, as I've said, is generally pretty clean. Most people look after themselves so they don't leave a huge carbon footprint. I also say all of this about a great beach while not being a beach person. At. All. This is a beach I'm willing to visit! read more

Long, level cement pads, hookups near the middle. Great water pressure. Wifi was weak. No off leash dog park. Nice fenced in playground next to office building. Laundry was next to the office. We stayed 3 days and would've stayed longer if we didn't need to be someplace else. Loved the proximity to the beach. It's often windy, there's no cover for shade and they don't allow you to put up tents or canopies on your site. Also the beach has a lot of dead seaweed. Looks a but trashy but it's a good walking beach. Office staff is wonderful. We plan to return and stay longer. read more

Definitely returning to this campground! We booked another week during our first stay. You wake up in the morning looking at the ocean from your RV. The Galveston area is cool but this place is tucked away hidden from the bustle of the rest of the city. Really nice concrete pads and hookups. read more

Friends are staying here this week while visiting the island. This place is right on the beach. All the amenities needed. Clean bathrooms, little store, nice newer hookups. Everyone seems to really enjoy this park. read more

We love Dellanera! Great location, customer service, clean showers & restrooms. Be aware they only rent beach umbrellas/chairs on weekends......not on weekdays. We use their pull thru RV site, no issues, no complaints. Trash cans emptied daily. No cars allowed on beach attached to the park by 2 pedestrian paths...that's a plus! I've stayed here many times and it was wonderful. However, this time they had horrible time with electrical hook ups. They changed circuit breaker twice , then we moved and continued to have trouble on 50 amps. This drained my DC power and my amp meter was barely in the green. Location is great BUT they must fix he Electric system. I was not the only one who experienced this issue as many staying during this time had the same issues. First and foremost - the ocean views are second to none on Galveston. Beach was nearly unoccupied and just really hit the spot for our twice daily beachside walks. The park itself isn't 'fancy', but well maintained. Clean restrooms and facilities, clean sites, and good hookups. Staff was very friendly and no crowds! No pool or playgrounds, but that's not what we are looking for when travelling. Rates are extremely competitive and we'll be back for a longer stay on our next time through without a doubt. A hidden gem on the gulf in our opinion! Note: No propane on site and very little 'cover'. If the wind is blowing and the sun is beating down, might be other places that our better for shelter. That is the tradeoff for a beachside location however. read more

Dellanera has a great location - right on the beach! It was very nice to be able to sit at the picnic table next to our RV and have an unobstructed view of the ocean. The beach right there was very clean and not crowded at all. The facilities, however, weren't perfect. The bathrooms weren't well maintained (each time I went in there was no toilet paper in any stall), and there were multiple red ant hills within a few feet of our picnic table. I know that is something that can't be entirely controlled, but it certainly isn't a selling point! read more

Great park, very close to water. Back in sites to beach very good. Horace the all around employee....excellent! I wish I had 15 of him. Burrs in grass are a headache! A little TLC right around sites would be helpful. No real amenities, or supplies at park. Bathrooms clean, didn't use shower...they have clothes washers. Take good care of Horace! read more

Beautiful back-in spots on the beach with great views! Super friendly & helpful staff!! They gave us great restaurant recommendations as well! Highly recommend Miller's Grill, Fisherman's Wharf, & Duck Boat tour in town! Would certainly stay here again! They stay full & fill up fast!! We enjoyed site 54 & have 2 dogs. Trash cans conveniently located. Very clean & well kept facility! We were in a 40' 5th wheel. This was great coming from Midwest! read more

Book early, for this great view of the Gulf! Friendly, clean, and reasonable priced. Not far from the seawall, Good sea food stores close by (get there early for catch of the day), Peaceful in the evening, and the morning sun rising up from the gulf is a must see! This is our second time here and we are definitely coming back ! read more

This RV park is run by the city and is my favorite park in Galveston. The staff is friendly. The park is kept very clean. There is a small gift shop in the office area. The laundry facility is decent. The toilets are separate from the showers which I really like. There are pull throughs. Most of the back ups face either the lagoon or gulf. There is a very short path that takes you right on the sandy beach. You can walk along the beach for quite a way. All of the spaces have full hook ups. The wifi is good for an RV park, even on busy holidays. They get completely full during peak times. We really enjoyed it here when we were visiting and now that we live in Galveston it is a great place for our family to stay when they are visiting. read more

New at the RV thing and this was the first park I stayed in. No frills, right on the beach, and very clean. Hookups are easy and staff is friendly. Called ahead and came in late and no problem. Views were great. Was very satisfied, will definitely stay here when back in Galveston. read more

Spots are quite close together and pulling a bigger rig in and out there can be tricky because people kind of park cars all over the place instead of designated areas. Nice views of the ocean, nice private and clean beach, nice clean facilities but unless you are on the back row closest to the ocean you get to stare at someone else's crappy RV. I'd go again if I reserved a corner/end spot and paid for the one next to me as well for the privacy. read more

We spent a few days there last summer. We had a great site with an ocean view!! I would stay in any of their sites. There was an awful kelp problem while we were there ( very stinky) but thats not their fault. Can't wait to go back! The park is clean well kept and the staff was very friendly.
