I had previously promised him that I would show him my DNA blood test report from a hospital in China. So, I brought my DNA blood report to a nurse practitioner at this clinic. If I remember correctly, her name was Allison. When I arrived at the clinic, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and heart rate was very unfriendly. My hepatitis B virus test has been positive since childhood, but it is completely non-contagious. The only restriction is that I cannot donate blood. My twin daughters were born without the hepatitis B virus. However, this so-called medical professional actually told me that she needed to report my condition to the local infectious disease agency. I was speechless. How could a so-called medical professional lack such basic medical knowledge? Even now, passing by this clinic still makes me feel very uncomfortable. She made me rethink what it means to be a so-called medical professional in the United States. I encountered this just after returning from my parents' funeral in China in 2019. This in itself was adding insult to injury.

I truly am impressed on how well they listened and handled all my concerns. I use to work in a hospital for over 20 years and even with being an employee and having access to doctors, I have never felt listened to until I came to this office. Early warning signs were ignored: 2 appointments were canceled in 2025, and we were not seen until24 Sept2025. During that annual exam I needed to discuss severe PMDD and a markedly altered menstrual flow, yet Alanna dismissed both concerns, warned me against medication because I planned to conceive, and labeled the changes as "normal for a woman in her 30s" without asking any follow up questions. Her documentation even listed my age as 28 instead of 31, indicating a careless approach to my care. When a positive pregnancy test prompted a follow up on13 Nov 2025, the visit began promisingly--Alanna spent an hour with my husband and me answering questions. But, she immediately prescribed baby aspirin for blood pressure concerns; her notes later stated a 12 week start date, a detail never mentioned verbally. Moreover, she only ever ordered a lipid panel and no CBC or HCG tests. The situation turned critical at our first ultrasound on Friday,21 Nov 2025, when the sonographer told us the fetus had no heartbeat and sent us home with no immediate follow up. In other practices the physician would be notified instantly and would speak directly with the patient. At Elite Diagnostics, the doctor (James Elmer), must first relay information to the patient's OB practice, creating dangerous delays in this miscarriage scenario. In desperate attempts to obtain any assistance, my husband spent several hours on the phone navigating automated menus and speaking with multiple medical assistants before finally reaching a nurse who placed an order for blood work. We went to the lab that Friday afternoon to have our first HCG drawn, only to discover that the practice had submitted the order under someone else's social‑security number. Quest confirmed that the electronic order never entered their system, forcing us to obtain verbal orders while still in the clinic. This series of errors added needless stress and trauma at a time when we needed clear direction and compassionate care. We were left without any guidance or support for several days. Despite countless phone calls and portal messages pleading for help, we received no response--contrary to the practice's claim of a 24/7 on‑call doctor. Over the weekend we endured the physical and emotional strain of a missed miscarriage with no contact from either Elmer or Alanna. On Monday, no apology was offered, and my husband continued to call, begging to speak with Alanna or Aimee. Alanna finally returned our call at about 3pm on 24Nov2025, but her own notes incorrectly state that she called "to discuss the impending miscarriage." In reality, she spent the entire conversation explaining office procedures and why portal messages replace direct contact, offering no empathy, information, or guidance. She never expressed sympathy, never explained what was happening to my body, and never outlined the treatment options. Instead, she rebuked my husband and me, told us to research the three miscarriage options on our own, and said she would await a second HCG result before taking any further action. This lack of compassion and clear communication is, in my view, grossly negligent. When the second HCG results arrived, she never called or reached out to me personally. Instead, she merely posted a brief note in the portal confirming the miscarriage. This impersonal, cold response was utterly inhumane and, in my view, disqualifies her from practicing as a midwife. When a D&C was scheduled with Raupp, we still had not heard from her despite repeated attempts to make contact, leaving us fearful that the same negligence would affect the procedure. Therefore, in the weeks that followed, I switched to a new provider and sought an OB I could trust. While the miscarriage itself was devastating, the additional anguish caused by this practice's mishandling made those weeks the most painful period of my life.

Please do your due diligence and stay away from this practice. They are not equipped in an organizational capacity or knowledge based enough to provide patient centered quality care. Unfortunately, if a patient is having a potential (later confirmed) missed miscarriage, you can be sure to only hear from the providers when they call to tell you how hurt they are about you're feelings with them.

There is one thing i look for in a doctor... patience. I want to be able to ask a lot of questions. I want my doctor to take time with me and not feel rushed out the door. I want to feel confident the doctor wants to "get to the bottom of the things" with a sincere attitude. This is how Dr Thaver seemed to me. We didn't do any tests in this visit. We just discussed my various issues and made a plan for the future. I cant wait to come back! I never dreamed i would look forward to seeing a doctor again :) Edit: I added this business to yelp and copy-pasted my review from yesterday to make sure it is connected to the location in Melbourne, Florida.

The billing department will harass you for the money. I paid the $200.00 and contacted my insurance company, which told me that the billing department had coded the charge incorrectly and that my insurance had sent a check to Suntree for the amount. I had the check # and proof that it had been cashed, which I sent to Suntree. I was told that it had not been posted yet! Now Suntree had $400.00 in their pocket, and trust me, it was a hassle to get MY MONEY back! Finally, after calling several times, I was credited on my card. 2 weeks later, I received the same $200.00 bill, stating it was overdue! I have also had to wait for over 24 hours for a prescription to be sent to CVS! If you call and ask where the prescription is, they first tell you that they are TOO BUSY at the moment to send it in. The second time you call, they tell you that the Dr has not given the prescription list. This is 4 1/2 hours after your appointment. It was a Saturday, and Suntree closed at 2:00 PM, while CVS closed at 6:00 PM. Called CVS at 5:30, and nothing had been sent in! Called first thing Sunday morning and was told they were working on it! Waiting more than 24 hours for a prescription is unacceptable! Beware of Suntree Internal Medicine. Terrible practice!
