This visit occurred during the pandemic (05/22/20), and the repairman refused to properly wear a mask. He didn't want to in the first place, then when I asked him to he put it on under his nose. He came in, took our dryer apart, then entered our living space to talk to us. We asked him to pull his mask up over his nose before talking to us, but he refused, citing asthma. He then stated we would need to find someone else and left, without putting the parts back. Very angry and unprofessional. I don't know about their mechanical skills, but their customer care is really bad. The asthma excuse is nonsense, as both my wife and my daughter have asthma but are fully able to wear masks. I would think someone with asthma would want to be even more careful about going into strangers houses. Personally, if he had just said right up front he wouldn't wear a mask he could have just left without coming in and I wouldn't be writing this review. But coming in, touching stuff, and being really nasty and angry is just not acceptable. We called a different repair company and they had no problem with taking precautions that were acceptable to us. read more

They came out promptly the first time to assess issue with refrigerator in our rental property. Recommended replacement of seal around freezer. Said that if you can put a dollar bill under it that indicates that replacement is necessary. We agreed to have them replace it. They ordered the part which they said would take a day. But, it took two days and then the wrong color came in so two more days wait. We could honestly have had a new refrigerator delivered more promptly than this $250 repair. And, I wish we had gone that route because we got complaints about the refrigerator again and this time frost was actually forming inside the freezer, which it wasn't doing when we initially called. You can probably guess that we tried the dollar bill test on the new seal they installed and sure enough the dollar bill could go sailing under their install. To be fair we did not call them back and offer them another opportunity to repair it. We simply couldn't afford the wait or the potential for a bad review for our beautiful rental property. We ordered a new refrigerator instead. Don't waste your time with repairs from Delmarva Appliances. read more

I called them to fix my washing machine because a renewer has done something to the start/stop knob. Matt got here and quickly fund that it had simply been unscrewed. He secured it and it works fine. Matt did not charge me for the visit. Great service and I will definitely use Delmarva Appliance in the future. read more

Stay away from these slight of hand artists.they get in your door telling you one thing charge you$300.00 and not fix the job than come back and tell you that you have to spend another $250.00 I could have bought a new washer for that kind of money.be honest and upfront with your customers or lose everybody's business. Matt was great! I received a text from a guest staying at our beach house in Ocean City that the washing machine seemed to have broken and flooded a large area. I called Delmarva Appliance and left a message since it was about an hour before they opened. Within minutes I received a call back from Matt. I explained the situation and requested he come out asap. He agreed to come out around 1p which worked perfectly with the renters so they wouldn't miss out on to much beach time. Most impressed with this operation. We had a Miele dishwasher problem and Matt diagnosed it quickly, was able to get the part (a Herculean task in itself) came back on a Saturday to repair, and just before he arrived, our washing machine had a problem.
