This is the real deal and with lots of delicious sugar bombs to choose from, courtesy of an engaged staff. And contrary to the urban legend, no donut-loving police officers were present during my visits. Prices have gone up over the years, with my chocolate old fashioned the first morning, and what I call a "Hawkeye Sprinkled" donut the second morning running at $1.84 each. The first morning's donut was consumed on the way to Iowa City, while the 2nd one was saved for the airplane flying out of Cedar Rapids. I found their coffee to be pretty good too.
