Hello everyone. I would like to start off my review by saying first and foremost I don't believe I would be alive today if it wasn't for the help of Dr. Rodriguez and his staff. About eight months ago I found myself in the deepest darkest depression that I have ever known. I have suffered from depression for most of my life, but this is the first time I have ever had thoughts of suicide. Dr. Rodriguez saw me twice a week for six weeks and customize a program for me which worked miracles. The program at "the center", deals with many conditions from addiction to eating disorders. My specific issue is anxiety and depression. I won't going to details about my treatment but all I can say is that I really felt that I was being listened to and treated as an individual. During my time in the partial hospitalization phase of my program, the staff took care of making sure I had access traditional treatments such as therapy (Group), and even things like aerial yoga. I am a healthcare professional and I have worked in the field of mental health. This is the only place that I have ever seen where the patient is treated like an individual, and not a cookie-cutter approach. To sum it up, the staff was courteous and caring, the facility was clean and adequate, lunch was provided as well as snacks. My primary therapist is wonderful, her name is Abby. I have met the other therapist and they are, I'm sure just as great. I am doing so much better now, I am back to work and having a much easier time interacting in social situations.if you are looking for a place that will help you in your dark time I would highly recommend the Delray Center for healing. read more

Complaint Regarding Dr. Raul Rodriguez, M.D. I am submitting this complaint regarding my interaction with Dr. Raul Rodriguez during my evaluation for treatment with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and IV ketamine therapy. Before committing to treatment, I wanted to confirm that my insurance would cover these services through the required pre-certification process. I believed this was a reasonable and responsible step before scheduling what would be a significant course of treatment. At the time of my second appointment with Dr. Rodriguez, I had not yet received the insurance determination. The pre-certification approval was received the following day. During that appointment, Dr. Rodriguez became visibly upset because I had not yet committed to scheduling treatment. He characterized me as being "difficult" simply because I was waiting for confirmation of insurance coverage. During the conversation, he also stated that if I thought he was "an asshole," I could leave. I had made no such accusation, nor had I said anything that would reasonably provoke such a statement. I was completely taken aback by his language, demeanor, and the confrontational nature of the encounter. As a retired physician with approximately 30 years of clinical practice, I understand the standards of professionalism, respect, and dignity that patients deserve. In my opinion, Dr. Rodriguez's behavior fell well below those standards. Rather than engaging in a respectful discussion, he responded with hostility and attempted to pressure me into immediately committing to treatment despite the unresolved insurance issue. Patients undergoing treatment for depression are often emotionally vulnerable and deserve compassion, patience, and professionalism. Instead, I experienced an interaction that was unnecessarily adversarial and intimidating. The treatment protocol required follow-up appointments with Dr. Rodriguez every two weeks throughout the course of treatment. After reflecting on our interaction, I realized I would carry considerable resentment and distrust toward him during the treatment process. I believed that this negative therapeutic relationship would undermine the effectiveness of treatment and interfere with my ability to participate openly and confidently in my care. For that reason, I canceled my follow-up appointment two days later and chose not to proceed with treatment under Dr. Rodriguez's care. I found Dr. Rodriguez's conduct to be highly unprofessional, inappropriate, and inconsistent with the standards I would expect from a physician entrusted with the care of patients suffering from depression and other mental health conditions. read more

I was a patient for 5 years and was constantly switched between various interns, often monthly; there was no continuity in care ZERO! When I saw Dr. R in person he spent 15 minutes at max, often after a 45 minute wait. Often I had telehealth against my preference with Interns or PAs in another county/ state. I had the same issues with getting my prescriptions filled and calling the reception desk creating anxiety as well as extra expense. I would give 0 stars if possible. Dr. R. has zero empathy and is often on his laptop distracted if you get the full 15 minutes with him. He discounts your feelings and all else. It will take me a long time to trust a mental health professional after my experience here, this place added trauma to my trauma. read more

This is Shawn Richards and I have been a patient there 4 years this place is the absolute most unorganized doctors office that I've ever worked with they charge you $100 every time you miss an appointment and if you don't cancel the appointment 24 hours in advance which says 24 hours in advance not only on business days and I called 48 hours in advance on a Saturday to cancel my Monday appointment July 6 for my Sub injection and they still charge me $100 and said there's no way they can work with me. Their voicemail was full and they would not allow me even to leave a voicemail showing record that I tried to call 24 and 48 hours in advance to cancel my appointment for July 6. I would not recommend this doctors office to anybody. They're absolutely worthless. They're the most unorganized unprofessional doctors I've ever worked with and they tell you everything you wanna hear but when they make a mistake it's OK like they tell me all the time. Let me get back to you. I have to call you back. They never call back. They have some type of phone room in the middle of Dubai or somewhere out of the United States that they use for their phone system and half the people there can't even barely speak English and if they do, you cannot understand them zero out of 10 stars I give these people absolutely zero if you're thinking about going to Delray Center For Healing reconsider. read more

Has his people write prescriptions with out ever seeing a patient. I asked to speak with Raul Rodriguez MD . I was told he doesn't speak to patients. From what i saw he only sees patients ordered from the courts ( Drug addicts ). I am not a drug addict! He or someone in his practice insisted i do blood tests at Delray center which was $618. from Quest with insurance. Avoid this place. I would notify the medical board of his practice. this is a flat out dangerous practice. I don't know what the issue is here but they never call in your medication to the pharmacy. That means you run out, so hopefully you're not on something medically necessary because you'll have to fight every month for them to just call it in even after the doctor has prescribed it to you. Then, they'll charge you $100 for a bridge to get you through until your next appointment with the doctor, but once again will not fill the prescription. If you like getting withdrawals every month because everyone in that office is completely incompetent, definitely go here! I truly do not understand and I have never had this issue anywhere. All it takes is the doctor to tell the pharmacy what to fill and they can't even do that. Most definitely this practice will be closed Inevitably because nobody here knows what they're doing and it's dangerous. You're prescribing huge amounts of medication to people and then they can't refill it when it's out because these people don't know how to make a phone call. It takes three or four attempts just to get them to talk to your pharmacy, maybe even more. It is not safe. read more

Delray Center For Healing Money Hungry. I cancelled 4 times and once with the front desk person. They charged more than the normal fee and when I told them I cancelled 4 times even by the front desk person who was nasty when I cancelled. I had to plead my case and threaten to call the attorney before they left me alone Another time I came in and asked to pay before the procedure and they said no you pay after the procedure. The credit card they had was not good. I was in the middle of an appointment somewhere else and I get this urgent phone call to pay. I told them I would pay in a few minutes since I had to figure out why my card didn't go through. They said you have to pay now. I did pay them in 20 minutes with multiple phone calls in-between to me by them in between. They were actually interrupting my attempt to pay the as I was talking to the credit card company to fix the problem. I never didn't pay a bill, and I was coming back as a regular patient. Why the urgency. I would never use them again. They showed their true colors and it was horrifying. read more

Iam a patient here.i missed a appt so i paid for the bridge and the appt i didnt make.Ive been with out medications for 2 days trying to get appt .There saying now i owe a $100 missed appt fee.After i pre paid for thr appt.Then there say now that they looked into it i owe 378.00 so disparately need my rx made a payment plain paid $ 65 now there saying its another $45.AFTER SAYING IT WOULD BEONLY THE $65 TO GET MY APPT. read more

Very disappointing. Dr. Rodriguez had helped me very much when I came to Florida in 2001. He had a much smaller office and probably less patients at that time. Today it is not unusual to have to wait 30-60 minutes past your appointment time only for me to see the doctor for 5 minutes. He suggested TMS therapy, which I completed. TMS was a complete waste of time and money. I spent several hundred dollars doing TMS and things got worse. During TMS treatment I kept saying that my anxiety had returned. Previously I had no anxiety. He said that "sometimes that happens" but even after completing TMS my anxiety is still present. Last time I saw him I was the one who suggested he put me back on an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med I was on prior to TMS. He did not even mention titrating off any of the other meds. I feel I don't get the time I need to discuss my meds and how I am feeling. I always feel rushed during an appointment as if he's trying to play catch-up because he's always behind schedule. Seems Dr. Rodriguez has either too many patients or too much on his plate. I am currently trying to find a new psychiatrist. I've had previous psychiatrists who I sit with for 15-30 minutes so I have very good baseline experiences. If my last psychiatrist had not moved I'd still be seeing him. The office staff is always trying to get your in-and-out: collect your money and go. Also, it's impossible to get an appointment less than 3 weeks out. And, if you need a prescription refill the office has always told me to come in and see the doctor. Not run like a doctor's office at all but more like a business. This doctor and his team are completely incompetent. You go see them and they say they will prescribe you and send your medication you need to the pharmacy... when they don't. I've been to the pharmacy 3 times after these clowns told me they sent it but CVS never received it. They told me the doctor is on vacation so I guess you have to wait for Raul to wake up from his nap to help his patients. Terrible customer service!!! Run! we called for an appointment, got 2 people that barely speak English. gave us a Dr that is nowhere listed on their staff or Florida med board!! I wish I could sue for the hour I lost on my life. I'm. now that I'm seeing other reviews, If I get billed for anything, Mr Rodriguez will be seeing me in court!!! Moving to aa new neighborhood and trying to get over some personal issues. I am very happy with the therapy I am receiving. My therapist pays attention is empathetic and actually it's good to have someone to talk to when you don't feel judged. read more

Go elsewhere. I called for three days with a simple request to reach a clinician and got multiple calls and emails from multiple people, but never the need met. I cannot imagine how this would have been if I were a patient in crisis! I work in the field of suicide prevention and would not recommend anyone to this practice. Was prescribed a medicine that 6 doctors said with confusion. And "why are u taking that". The tharpists aren't very accessible. I called to make an appointment and the guy on phone said I can't but he was just unwilling. They've demonstrated that I cannot put my health and well being imm their hands. read more

Was a patient here recently at the backend of 2020. This place is a total scam. You can call and get any prescription that you want. Every time I tried to get virtual appointment the system was always "down". In reality I was talking to "doctors" on their commutes, I heard car doors slamming in the background, "doctors" were consistently late, no recollection or records of my past sessions or calls, and sessions lasted no longer than 10-15 minutes. Treatment: I was put on antidepressants and I continually asked if this would make me gain weight. I had done research and know that there is only one anti depressant that causes the patient to lose weight. I asked the "doctor" who insisted weight gain wouldn't happen. After a month on the antidepressant I had gained 10lbs. Since weight gain had caused me to go on the anti depressant in the first place I discontinued the use of this on my own by slowly tapering off. No "doctors" or staff called to follow up on me after I stopped calling, to check in to see if I needed a refill, to check in on my mental state. For a mental health institution you think they would be more concerned. Ultimately do not go here unless you want to self medicate and need a doctors signature. Absolutely horrible horrible place. Dr. Rodriguez has been the best doctor for me over the last two years. I've seen many doctors over the years but wasn't able to get to a point where I felt any sense of control in my life. I have bipolar disorder but became seriously depressed when my father died two years ago. Dr. Rodriguez never gave up on me and because he listened to me, took me seriously, and worked with me, I never gave up on myself. we have only had a consultation at this point, but i have to say that Dr Rodriguez is the best psychiatrist that we have ever seen. He spent over 2 hours with us, after hours! He was excellent. The front desk.. and Jon the treatment coordinator couldn't have been more helpful. WARNING: Do NOT use their services. For a place predicated on the idea of "healing" this was nothing more than a complete and utter letdown. They should change their name to: Delray Center for INCOMPETENCE. It seems I was scammed out of $125. Long story short -- I came in for a specific service, they made me pay first, did not give me that service and then told me they could not refund me unless the owner approves. I never heard back. Worst of it, I had to deal with a horrid manager named Ana who was nothing more than a typical 9-5'er who uses extreme passive aggressive behavior to cope... in turn, she took her anger out on me, the customer. You know the type... Either way, this seemed like a total bait n' switch. I cannot speak for other people, but instead of wasting your time... I suggest you move along elsewhere. Ironically, it would of been a smart move for them to just refund me the money instead of deal with the consequences. Because now I'm filing a chargeback which gets me my money back and hurts their credibility with their merchant processor. Also, I advertise for a living. So you better believe I will use every legal/ethical power I have available to reach every home/apt (for pennies on the dollar) within a 10 mile radius with my story as a warning to avoid their unethical services. I literally went in there for an adjustment to my medication.... paid cash, as I'm self pay. TWO days later I called to say I didn't like the way the new medication made me feel, they told me the doctor would call me back to switch to my original medication that I felt OKAY on. No call back. I called every day for a week, getting promised that I would get a call back. NO CALL BACK UNTIL OVER A WEEK LATER. They then tell me I have to come in AGAIN and pay the OUT OF POCKET MONEY, all so I can switch back to an original medication that I was already taking. The point is, I feel that they avoided my phone calls purposely, so they can get another appointment and money out of me, when all it takes is one phone call to the pharmacy and switch back. Also, every single time I've made an appointment, the wait time is about 30-45 minutes after. I am honestly really disappointed. read more

Dr Rodriguez and his staff are beyond amazing. They care for patients and make a difficult process go so smoothly. His progressive treatments go beyond just "medication" trying to get to the root of the situation. He's with you during the whole process. He works with people who have financial issues so they don't not get care. His staff are very concerned and represent Dr. Rodriguez's principles. I am highly disappointed with the care that I received from The Delray Center for Healing. I had very high expectations since it is run by "South Florida's Best Psychiatrist". I took out a $900 insurance policy to cover my treatments here and I paid hundreds of dollars a week in Copays and Ubers. Only to be inappropriately confronted by Dr, Rodriguez. I am a rape victim with severe PTSD and during a TMS session where I am unable to move the psychiatrist came in the room and shut the door behind him leaving me in this room alone with him. He confronted me in an unnecessary stern manner and did not allow me to talk, taking away my voice as was mentioned in my last email. I was unable to go back to TMS or meet with Mellisa for MONTHS  because of how severe I was affected by this encounter. There was no sympathy or effort on the staff's side to keep in contact with me. I was scheduled for many appointments that I never knew I had. My insurance paid out thousands of dollars to this facility for treatments I never received. I did maybe one month of TMS and 4 sessions of Ketamine. Only to be told in the end that I can't be seen anymore because I have a balance on my account. There was ZERO sympathy/effort from the staff. I really hope no other trauma/rape victim has to go through this terrible experience with Dr. Rodriguez. read more

Horrible place, horrible workers, they don't care about you, your situation, nothing. only money. one doctor Makelyn does care but she can only do so much. they wanted to charge me $200 for a appointment I usually pay $45 for. then wanted to charge me a extra $75 for administrative fee for a medication. they will only fill scripts monthly so you have to come in every single month to get a new script instead of doing what normal offices do and fill refills for the next couple months. money hungry assholes is all they are. go literally anywhere else before you are trapped and have to rely on them for meds read more

This place is terrible. I felt my medical care was good but the office is so poorly managed, you will run out of medications and they won't be able to schedule something for you because it takes at least a week for someone to call you back. As a policy, they WILL NOT GIVE YOU REFILLS. They require that you have an appointment. It is only to secure another billing code because it's always a telehealth and only about 4 minutes long. Completely unethical. I'm filing a complaint with the ombudsman at my insurance office. When you call, they put you in a que that tells you "you're currently caller number 4, waiting..." but when you get down to 1, it resets to four! Wtf. You should be shut down. Poor care!! read more

Making an appt was very easy and Jon was really attentive to what my husband needed. He was able to schedule an appt to see Dr Roberto within two days. The day of the appt arrived and my husband was running late & then got lost trying to find the building.. my husband didn't have a working phone and I couldn't come with him bc I had to stay home w our 4 year old. Jon kept in touch w me the entire time and although my husband was an hour late.. Dr Roberto was still willing to see him with a short wait time. Don't put yourself or your loved ones in contact with him in your lowest moments. Now that I've healed fully (without his help), that visit/consultation with him was one of my worst memories of my depression. He spoke disrespectfully of women, is arrogant (says that his program is the only way to heal, and uses scare tactics to pressure you to commit), and then proposes absurd prices. He seems to be all about the money. Avoid even doing an initial consultation... this place is scary. I don't typically leave reviews, but I felt it was important for me to come on and share, to try to protect others from the very poor experience I had with this man, during my lowest of moments. Whatever you do go somewhere else. This place is only concerned about getting your money. They take your money and never call in your meds so you spend the weekend without necessary meds and there isn't anyone you can contact after 3 pm on Fridays until Monday morning and that's if they decide to even answer the phone. This has happened multiple times not just once. Time to find a place that is really concerned about their patients and not just the money they pay. read more

Oh my lord. Where do I even start? They don't even deserve 1 star. First of all, do not waste your time or money with this place. Thinking about calling them? Don't, nobody picks up the phone or returns your phone calls. Probably best off walking in there giving them a piece of your mind. This is mental health we are talking about here folks. I'm honestly thinking about calling whoever you have to call to get this place checked out for its legitimacy because some sketchy s**t is going on. $200 for a 15-minute session that is supposed to be 50 minutes?
