It's Delta. Generally the best airline option there is... especially coming out of Atlanta! On time departure, friendly service, most options, and pretty good seating. I really try not to fly anything but delta anymore... if I can help it. On July 20, 2026, at approximately 1:30-2:00 p.m., my husband and I went to the Delta ticket and bag-drop counter at John Glenn Columbus International Airport for Flight DL1750. We had mobile boarding passes, printed boarding passes, and Delta bag tags clearly showing that we were scheduled to fly that day. Despite the documentation directly in front of her, an agent named Tabitha repeatedly insisted that our flight was not until the next day and that we had arrived one day early. She also incorrectly claimed that we had flown into Columbus on July 16, although our trip was July 18-20. This was not one mistaken statement that she promptly corrected. She continued presenting false information as fact, refused to meaningfully listen to us, and did not appear to properly verify the clear travel documents we showed her. When we became understandably alarmed, she repeatedly told us not to "get worked up" and said she would "fix it." There was nothing to fix. We were correctly ticketed for DL1750. My husband and I are both disabled veterans. Tabitha made us believe we might miss our flight, lose our travel arrangements, or be stranded. Her misinformation caused severe and completely unnecessary anxiety. She then spoke to us in a rude, dismissive, and condescending manner for reacting to the crisis she had created. I have never been treated this badly by a Delta employee. A customer-facing agent who repeatedly provides passengers with false flight information, contradicts valid boarding documents, and belittles distressed travelers should not be working at a ticket counter. I have submitted a formal complaint requesting an investigation and serious disciplinary action. This experience severely damaged our trust in Delta and has made us reconsider flying with the airline again. read more

No problems on my most recent experience with Delta. My family and I were flying to and from JFK. No delays, which was a great thing not to deal with on our vacation. We all slept on both flights, which was great. Always good not to have a bad flight experience. read more

I was flying back from NY to Ohio. They made the announcement to check your bag for free. So I choose to check my bag. They said I was fine and no need to check my bag. I told them that I would like to as I would like to give more space in the over head compartments to people who need it. They said it was very sweet of me to do so. They asked for my seat number which was 20A. They told me that they are going to be changing my seat to 13D as I checked my bag as I wanted to give more space. Both of the workers were very sweet, and kind. Through the whole experience with flying delta it was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely fly with delta again. read more

They are very professional and has a level of care and facilities make them the preferred airline for a reason. When I'm flying in the US, 99% of the time I will fly Delta. It's just leagues above the other major carriers like American or United. My flight into and out of Columbus on Delta was efficient. We arrived early, boarded on time, and left on time as well. The app communicates very well for boarding times, delays, seat updates, and where your plane is coming from. My only complaint would be that wi-fi can be spotty on some planes, and if you came from a connecting flight, you have to restart the wi-fi sign-in process or it'll be in an endless loop. However I should be grateful that Delta even offers free (although limited) wi-fi. read more

I've flown out of the delta Concorde at CMH for 15+ flights over the past year and I can tell you that my flights have been on time, no drama. Smooth sailing. I fly about 150 flights each year. Trust me when I say Delta is getting better and better, and as of this writing (March, 2014), they are very good. A note about air travel: No airline can affect Air Traffic Control, nor the weather. All airlines have delays. LOTS of them. Most are caused by weather, or by air traffic control (traffic jams in the sky). You will look like a naive boob is you slag off on your airline because your flight was delayed by factors out of their control. Instead, judge an airline by the professionalism of their staff, from the folks at ticketing to gate agents, to flight attendants and pilots. Ten years ago, I found Delta to have some surly and unfriendly flight attendants. They have this fixed. These folks are professionals, and if you watch them, you'll see how much they do to help you and me have a good, safe flight. read more

Original flight took off almost an hour late, but pushed back on time...I don't know how this makes sense to pad their stats on being on time, and then to sit on the runway for 45 minutes. Missed the connecting flight by about 5 minutes. I paid $30 to check a bag. However they choose to let stand-by passengers on before me because they were checking a bag at the gate. I HAD NO BAG. So if you pay to check a bag, you will get penalized. Don't pay, check at the gate for free and get special treatment. Columbus, Ohio Delta Airlines sucks. read more

I thought the service was friendly and professional. They help to assist a family member to the gate with a wheelchair without haste. They then proceeded to help that family member board with care. We did not leave on time after boarding due to the fact there were mechanical issues. I'm just happy they were fixed before we taxied away from the gateway. I should mention that my wife and I were seated in single seats on a small aircraft one in front of the other. They kindly offered to move us to two seats next to each other with legroom at a bulkhead. One star Removed for not having a complete galley stock on the second flight out of the day. read more

I got ripped off $459 for a one way connecting flight from LAX to Columbus last week. Frustrating!! I had orignially bought a round trip ticket for hundred dollars less. Delta has some of the worst corporate policies for consumers. I recently got delayed for two flights leaving and entering CMH, both of which were caused by Delta mistakes (one being maintenance, the other being missing staff). Both delays had me arrive 6 hours later than my scheduled time of arrival. In return Delta offered no compensation (vouchers, upgraded seats, etc.) and instead they placed me in a middle row at the very back of the plane. Even though the "Delta Comfort" section of the plane was almost completely empty. When I asked for an upgrade because of the situation, the Delta rep treated me as if I were attempting to shake down the company. I understand having delays for weather or things completely out of their control, but neither of those situations fit that bill. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future and I suggest you do as well. read more

Here's the thing, friendly staff, comfortable seats - made a mess of our trip! We had a flight booked from CMH to Detroit and then a connecting flight to LAX. We were happily through security, sipping a coffee and ready for our flight, scheduled to leave at 1:40 p.m. They kept announcing delays until we finally boarded at 2:15. Our connecting flight was at 3:22 and we landed at 3:15. We just might have made it, except once we landed, they didn't have the portable gangway ready for us to disembark. So, we missed our flight. They were happy to rebook us for a flight that leaves at 8:05 p.m. That's only a 5 hour layover! Wow! So now our travel day has been extended by five hours, bad, expensive airport food and there's nothing anyone can do about it. This should have resulted in an automatic upgrade to business or first class, complimentary access to Delta Sky Lounge and a meal voucher. Just flew Boston to Columbus and got a first class look at airline incompetence courtesy of Delta. Why is it flying Delta always seems like it's their first day in business. Gate agent delayed the flight with mistakes like booking infants in the exit row causing us to miss our slot. Didn't help that he moved like the bank teller from Zootopia. Still waiting for him to let us know the flight was late due to them and hear an apology. When I enquired if I could choose my seat after being denied at check in he fed me a line of BS about how my ticket didn't allow that, did I look like a moron you idiot, I choose my seat on the outbound 48hrs before. Still they don't suck as bad as US airways! Fly southwest whenever possible, their staff are frequently under 50 and give a crap. read more

Flying at the holidays is always stressful. But I am very pleased with my experience on Delta so far. My flight home for Christmas was delayed two hours and Delta did something I've never seen before: they rolled out a snack and beverage cart for the passangers. I found it a really nice gesture and hope more airlines start doing things like this. read more
