There are good barbers & then there are great barbers. Bill exceeds those great barbers. I haven't been impressed with a haircut this much in awhile. I decided to try this place on a whim, after going to Jose's a few times and passing Delta Barber shop. I ended up walking in around 4:30pm and there were 2 or 3 people ahead of me, but I didn't mind, so I took a seat and waited. As I sat there I got to listen in on Bills conversations with his customers, it seems that hes had many life long customers. All the people in front of me left looking good and very satisfied. But I still had my doubts as usually only asain people know how to cut asain hair lol We'll Bill proved me wrong, in the span of about 30 minutes, he gave me the perfect haircut that I asked for. He listened to all my requests carefull and took his time to make sure and get it right. We talked about future plans for my hair and needless to say, I will forsure be coming back to get my haircut here. Pros: -30+ years of experience -does good fades -reasonably priced -great conversationalist -all around great barber =] Cons: -small shop -2 chairs only My haircut is a 0-fade, with light trim on top in case anyone was wondering. My daughter took my grandson here after walking into the joint next door at Jose's and was rudely treated not even acknowledged not even looked at and handed a card(that was at Jose's) SO she walked next door to Delta and the story only gets better from here....she walked in was greeted and told Levi was next. He fidgets as he doesn't really like getting his hair cut but Bill was patient with him. My grandson who is 2 has a shunt and Bill knew exactly what that was and went about cutting his hair. After he was finished my daughter went to pay him and he would not accept a dime from her! She tried to pay him over and over and he would not let her pay. I just want you to know Mr. Bill that you didn't know what had just occurred a couple doors down and how grateful you made her feel. My family and I just moved here from the East Bay (Newark area) at the end of June. A few weeks after our move and my boys were in dire need of haircuts. At the recommendation of neighbors we tried our local Great Clips only to feel like the haircuts produced were NOT so great So once they were nice and grown out I turned to Yelp and found Bill! Fingers crossed we headed down. Right away I was at ease, Bill was SUPER sweet and easy to talk to. Definitely made us feel welcome. My kids loved him (ages 6 and 13) and their haircuts came out GREAT! This review is for "Carlos". My husband came home from getting his haircut with you and immediately I noticed it was not even on both sides. You "lined up" one side of his forehead and ear area and not the other (which he didn't want this look in the first place). Do you know how to fade without making the line? You buzzed about half inch behind one ear and not the other. The other side was long and patchy! Husband said he was rude and didn't want to be there. Seems like he doesn't take pride in his work. Best Barber In Town! I go to this Barber Shop religiously! It is right next to my business and beyond convinant! Above everything else the couple that run this joint are amazing people. I don't get that weird small talk that you usually get, the moment you step foot in the store your include in whatever conversation is going along with the clippers. They give amazing haircuts at around $16 a pop (pretty standard price) i just always leave a $20! This place is amazing and I refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else! read more
