I hesitate to write how freakin' impressed I am with Tyler who runs this 1-man business...Because I'm afraid the next time I need him, he will be too popular for me to book an appointment! First, some background. I had my torsion springs replaced 6 years ago by a different company, so I called them again, and they quoted me THREE TIMES what they charged me originally! When I showed them the old invoice, they tried to justify it by saying things like "inflation" and "higher labor costs". What a load of BS! And I know it was BS because 2 minutes later they said they could do it for $400 less! So in other words, you were trying to blatantly rip me off 2 minutes ago!! I told them to take a hike. In came Tyler from Delta Diablo, who quoted me another $400 lower than the 2nd price I got from the rip off artists. He came out the next day and replaced the springs. When it came time to pay, he said it would be $50 LESS than what he quoted me because he had been expecting shipping charges for my springs, but was ultimately able to find them at a wholesaler and avoided the shipping fees. I contacted Delta Diablo Doors since they were local. I needed a new belt for my garage door opener and Tyler asked where I was located as he would like to assess in person. He was at my home within an hour. After discussing my issue for a while he called around to see if he could actually get a drive belt. Mission fail!! The company that originally installed the opener stated that one could be ordered and received in about 30 days then a technician could come out and install. However, Tyler stated that he could probably replace the entire rod (which included the rod, drive belt and related parts) by purchasing the entire kit, which was available. This guy was extremely professional and the cost would be less than having just a "service call for an estimate" from others ( I checked). I explained to him my son purchased a new garage door opener and would like to have the old springs replaced before he installed the new motor.
