He was able to reset the opener but did inform me that the circuit board was going out and that it is close to the 20 year mark on the opener. He then let me know the problem will still continue most likely. I heard a cracking noise from my double wide garage door and saw the frame had cracked. I checked for some reviews and saw North Cal Garage Doors had great reviews, so I called for a quote (late in the afternoon.) I was not expecting a call back that same day, but Juan called me back, and he said he could check it the next day. The existing door was 31 years old and needed replacing, and he quoted me some various options. I decided on an insulated door and also asked Juan to replace my door opener that had been installed in a bad side location by the home builder (due to a support beam crossing the middle of the garage which prevented the typical center mounted location), with a side wall-mounted opener that connects directly to the torsion bar. Juan was able to get everything needed and set up an appointment within about 4 days to come out for the install. His work was top-notch, he also replaced the trim around the door, and everything was installed neatly and everything cleaned up afterwards. Everything was great, and I would absolutely recommend Juan and North Cal Garage Doors to take care of your garage door needs. My garage is now about 5 to 8 degrees cooler than before on sunny days with the insulated door, and the door and opener is amazingly quiet. One other thing to note, is that my neighbor was having an issue with his garage door, and he asked if I could ask Juan to check his door after he had checked mine. Juan said no problem, went over to check the neighbor's door (that had misaligned sensors), and fixed it right away while he was there. Our garage door works again. Thank you. As we were heading out today our garage door suddenly became crooked and we realized the garage door pulley became disconnected. My husband tried to fix it, but we realized there was more going wrong with our door than just that first issue. We called Juan and he was able to come within two hours. His price seemed reasonable. He pointed out a bigger problem we didn't even realize we had. Our door motor had been improperly installed by the last owners as they had attached the pulley to the top metal frame of the door, and not the bar where it was supposed to be.
