10 years ago AFAB did a repair on our front garage door and the repair has lasted. Recently I noticed a cable on one side was starting to shred and door operation was working strange. We called a company that had a flyer in Val-Pak and they came out to look at the door. Thier cost estimate for repair was unbelievable! I looked up our old receipt from AFAB and called them. They repaired our garage door cables and did a lube/adjustment and everything is working great now. AFAB's work is great and at a fair price. On two occasions I used Afab , both times I was completely satisfied and impressed. First time my springs popped and needed them replaced. I was worried I was going to have to leave my garage door open all night. To my surprise they were able to come out that same day and replace the springs at a great price. 2nd time I used them was 2 days ago. I closed my garage door and didn't notice I had a pole hanging out too far. It completely derailed my garage door and undid my cables. Ron of Afab Garage Doors was recommended to me by Herb, the Fence Dr. I called him late in the afternoon, and told him what the problem was with my garage door. He said Dwayne would be there within 10-15 minutes. What! I've had garage door repairs and replacements over the years, and no company ever responded that quickly let alone in the same day. Dwayne was here in no time. Replaced the broken hinge, straightened out the bent track and panels, and even replaced another old unmatching hinge for no additional charge. Checked the functionality several times, gave me great maintenance advice, and did the unthinkable-apologized for having to charge me a service charge. I am giving them five stars, because that is the highest mark allowed. Yelp needs to raise its review scale to six stars to meet the standards of Afab Garage Doors. read more

When we moved into our new home a few years ago we disconnected the garage door opener because it wasn't working properly. I just assumed it was old and neglected and left it at that. My boyfriend, however, has talked about it sporadically over the course of time and I eventually caved and called AFAB to come take a look at it. Ron and Dwayne arrived at my home right on time for the appointment. They asked what I was looking to do; have it replaced or to try and save the one that was already there. I told them I would love to keep the current one if they could make it functional. I was ecstatic when Dwayne was able to repair the old one for the cost of the service call ($100) plus parts ($30). Ben came out wanted to install a chamberlain c273 (Lowe's $199) at a cost of $850 installed. (I initially asked on my call for genie or lift-master!) He insisted it's the same as Lift-master or Genie. He than said he could get a Lift-master. When he returned, he quoted a price of $1275. I had a 9am appt. waited all day. When I wouldn't agree with the new price, he drove off. Bad business. People be aware!!!!!!! read more

The garage door I had in my house was the original door from what back when my house was built which was some time in the 1940's. By chance I saw their truck at the local store and inquired about installing a new garage door. Anthony came to my house in December (2014) and gave me a quote on 2 different kinds of garage doors. I had work done in my garage a couple of weeks ago and asked if they could come back as I was concerned about the track for the garage door would block the entry way to my attic. The came back on 3/12, shared my concerns and they stated they could accommodate my needs. On 3/13, Ron and Mike came out to install the garage door and they did everything right.
