I booked an appointment two days after receiving an estimate in person. I wasn't available in the morning so we agreed to set the appointment from 12-2:30pm. I called at 2pm just to verify if the technician is on his way. They said he is running late and will not be there until 4pm. I then called back at 4pm to see if he was on his way but they just said it will be more like 5pm. I called back at 5:30pm just for them to tell me it will be closer to 6pm. When I pressed the employee, she said it's more like 6:30pm. Then she suggested to reschedule for tomorrow. I cleared my schedule for the day to fix my garage, and even then that wasn't enough time. My on-site quote with GDI lasted less than 2 minutes- the rep showed up, looked at my garage and said it wasn't possible to automate the door because the track would hit an interior door. That was it and he left. Contra Costa Door came out today and they are able to do the job no problem, spent a half hour chatting about options and did measurements plus they gave me an itemized quote before leaving.
