I found Caris Tax Advisory Services Inc. via an early recommendation when I was initially making my way through the morass of probate. After collecting massive amounts of documents that were literally just in random boxes, I presented the material to Caris Tax and they dove in, creating six sets of returns for both Federal and State. They were mailed in and our friends at the State of California cleared my brother's returns the quickest. It was great to get the letter from them indicating they were fully satisfied with all of the submittals. As for the IRS, that took quite a bit longer and much more effort on the services of Caris Tax. But, in the end, all that needed to be settled was done successfully. I'm happy to have all of my brother's affairs in order. Carol, I can't thank you enough. PS - I live in AZ now but spent most of my life in the SF/Bay Area. My brother also lived in the Bay Area. Hence, Carol's business, based in Benecia, completely aligned with the needs of my brother's estate.

First he blamed me for not giving him the paperwork, then he blamed the Secretary for not scanning it in for him to see, than he said it wouldn't make a difference, as we were maxed out in deductions! My taxes had already been processed and he firmly stated he was unavailable to file an amendment and he would report me to his Supervisor to review. No one called me that day or the next, nor would his Supervisor Brenda call back until two days later. Brenda will now amend my taxes but not until next week (as it doesn't appear to be that important to her) Which left me to pay the $600 extra dollars and now wait for a refund from IRS. Won't be holding my breath on that one. Since I paid $625(!!!) to have my taxes prepared I told Miss Brenda that proper customer service would gladly refund that prep fee to offset the incompetence of her "Specialist", but she didn't agree. I am so angry at how I have been treated, disgusted at this unacceptable resolution of "We will get to it next week..." along with offering no compensation or agreeable resolution. Looks like lots of other poor reviews here, so sad to see a business decline to this degree, such poor tax preparation, an agent (Mr. Roland) unwilling to accept responsibility for an error and do the right thing, and than a Supervisor having the same lack of customer care and concern .
