I was debating whether I should just stop at Starbucks for breakfast or try someplace new, and I'm so glad that I took a gamble and tried Maple Table! It felt like the menu was created just for me, with a selection of specialty flavored pancakes and a whole bunch of specialty lattes. I couldn't resist ordering the campfire pancakes (topped with a whole toasted marshmallow, of course!) and an iced mocha latte. The pancakes were delicious, but they were very thick, and with the chocolate drizzle, marshmallow, and graham cracker crumbles on top, it was too filling and I couldn't finish all of it. I loved my iced mocha, especially because of the perfect balance of flavors. The coffee didn't overpower the chocolate, but it didn't just taste like chocolate milk. The service at Maple Table was great--our waitress was so friendly, and even though it was pretty busy when we went, we didn't have to wait long for our food. My reason for taking off a star is because I really wanted to try the signature house donuts, but when we arrived at around 10am, our waitress told us that they were already sold out of all the donuts. Heard so many good things about The Maple Table that I had to try it myself. I'm sorry to say, wasn't great. Wasn't awful either. Before I forget, I love what they did with the space. The layout and decor was very well done. The food though was subpar IMO. Overpriced. Nothing special. And those chairs...who approved those things? I was so uncomfortable. My buddy Glenn said he felt he was in a London dungeon. Hate to say this since so many people have had great experiences at The Maple Table but I'll never be back. They have a really nice selection of unique breakfast items. I went with the Wisco Benny and it was unlike any Benedict I've had. Walked in on a Sunday at 9am and was able to be seated without a wait. (Staying at hotel next door so that's why we picked this spot.) Server was friendly and attentive. My mom ordered the key lime donuts & a coffee and I had a skillet with OJ. She said donuts were good but only the frosting was flavored...not the actual donut. Skillet was good but not a big portion. I've gone here a couple of times for breakfast. The food is always great. On my latest visit the service was a bit off. Part of an order for someone in my party was forgotten and when we asked about it our server said she'd bring it and then never did. Also drink refills didn't happen even after we asked. Since I've come a few times I chalked it up to just an off day for the server. I got the shrimp and grits and it was so filling and came with a lot of shrimp! This dish packs a lot of flavor! So incredibly underwhelmed by everything in Racine as the years pass, it's truly gone downhill fast with most businesses and restaurants. But The Maple Table is, by far, the best restaurant in the area. Actually good food made with real ingredients and good coffee, kind staff, reasonable prices with plenty of options. They are open almost every day and they have a steady stream of customers from all of my experiences. The ambiance is nice and has a little bit of rustic charm, but feels new and clean. We were usually always seated right away or after a small wait. They are right in the heart of downtown so you can walk there from the Marina. Stopped in for a weekday brunch while I was in town. The menu looked great and it's such a cute place! Lots of seating and a bar area. Right on the square. I went with the Fresco omelette minus the chorizo, but it still had a little kick to it! Side of hash browns as recommended by our server. Sadly it was missing the crema and salsa but I didn't realize until later. I think that would have been a nice touch but maybe they ran out of ingredients because we ordered around 1pm and they closed at 2. My dining partners both got the Chilaquiles Benedict. I tried a few bites and it was more spicy than we all thought it would be but no complaints. I would not recommend the hash browns, my friend didn't care for them either. It's almost like they were rubbery or just not crispy at all. I really enjoyed the bites of my sister's red potatoes so I'd recommend those! I'd happily be back to try other items but thought the omelette as it came wasn't very exciting. The cheese it should have included somehow didn't melt inside the fold. Service is incredibly slow. Food was mediocre and served cold and not worth the price paid. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table, but it took 25 minutes to get our drinks (soda, lemonade, and coffee) and 40 minutes to get our food. I had to send my food back because it was cold. read more

I have lived in Wind Point now for 4.5yrs & have yet to try out the Maple Table. I rarely ever go out for brunch but my fiancé had a Friday off so we took day off to get brunch. WOW. Like many of us, I tend to consider myself a breakfast connoisseur. There is nothing I love more than a proper breakfast meal. Savory or sweet; I love it all. 5/7 days per week I enjoy a caramel macchiato and was pleasantly surprised at how good this one was-iced of course. We didn't have a wait on Sunday, between the late breakfast and Brunch rush which was ideal! I ordered the Wisco Benny. What could be better than eggs, cheese, brat, and pretzel? Well I found out - NOTHING. In my 40 years of life this is the hands down best breakfast plate I've ever had. Sat at the bar with my husband and staff was ultra attentive, engaging, and fun to chat with! We were in and out within an hour which was much needed; I had to take a 45 minute nap I was so full. The place is super adorable. I love the wood industrial vibe. Sat at the bar and had a chocolate macchiato, bloody and bourbon macchiato. The drinks were OKAY. The bourbon coffee was a bit strong and didn't taste the best, the chocolate macchiato didn't come as it said in the menu but still tasted fine. The skillet was really good. Seven of us went to the Maple table today for the Mother's Day brunch. Our reservation was for 145 for a party of seven when I made the reservation. They told me the last reservation was at 2:45. We arrived on time we were seated promptly. The buffet was half empty. The food that was there was burned when I asked about the empty buffet trays they appeared to be annoyed with me rather than do anything about it. Eventually, they did bring more food out after I saw other people walk back there and come out with more food but there are still several empty chafing dish servers even after they brought food out, and this was an hour before they were supposed to accept their last reservation. The food quality was mediocre at best definitely do not recommend. I'm sure after this review, a bunch of the friends of the restaurants will refute this, but I'm telling the truth. unfortunately not a good experience for the mothers in our family or anyone else really. Additionally, because we were a party of 7 there was a 20% gratuity added to the bill. For that the waitress brought glasses and two pitchers of water. Had to flag down a waitress that became obviously annoyed that we stopped her to ask for coffee. That buffet should have been as full and fresh as when it opened! We basically had leftovers. We were starving so went a little overboard with ordering food and got the Buddha bowl with blackened shrimp, biscuit and gravy, balsamic tomato & ricotta toast & a mimosa flight. The food was very tasty. The only reasons I gave my experience a 4/5 is because I was disappointed in the balsamic tomato & ricotta toast we got. It was not on toast, it was on a very soft piece of bread which made it difficult to eat and also made it very soggy before you could even eat it. I'd you're in Racine I'd definitely hit this place for breakfast. The food was great. I had the biscuits and gravy. My eggs were cooked perfectly over easy and the biscuits were light and fluffy. I got the house Bloody Mary which was garnished with a Klement's sausage, string cheese, olive oil, pepperoncini, and nice crisp pickle. The meal also came with some sliced green apple and a maple whipped cream cheese to dip it in, a nice refreshing touch. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs and it was of very poor quality. The corned beef was in long, thin strings, dry and chewy. There was a small portion of red potatoes under the corned beef and the two eggs. The eggs were done as I asked. The coffee was barely lukewarm and I had to ask for a refill. This was one of the more expensive meals on the menu and was not worth the price. Actually, I should have sent it back, rather than trying to eat it. My friend was luckier: she had the Monte Cristo Sandwich and found it to be very good. This is the second or third time I have ordered something at the Maple Table that was not very good, though I have also had good meals there in the past. The atmosphere is cute and the service is good. The portions are huge. Everyone enjoyed their food but since I'm gluten free there were only one or two things I could order. I chose the shrimp and grits and it was just not my cup of tea. It was very spice and heavy for brunch. Had high hopes for this place since the scenery and aesthetic were nice and place was decorated cute for fall. The food looked great and looked presentable on each plate. But looks and taste are 2 different things. While the food looked good, the mini donuts were over cooked and hard. I got the BLT sandwhich and the bacon was EXTREMELY over seasoned in pepper I couldn't finish the other half. The fries were also a little overcooked but edible. My biggest complaint would be the service. The waitress was an older lady who would roll her eyes and didn't seem to know manners (no excuse me, please, etc). I will admit we had a pretty big table and the 20% gratuity was expected, but with the service and food, it didn't seem justified. I will say I think the young lady (I'm pretty sure the manager) who ended up helping us at the end with payment is why I'm giving it at least a 2 stars. She was helpful and didn't seem annoyed with having to split the bill between all of us (we did apologize for having to split the bill last minute and thanked her for helping us). Food was decent as was the overall ambiance and location of the restaurant. However, service was one of the worst experiences we've ever had - maybe our waitress was having a bad day, but from the very start until the end, she was very curt with us to the point that we felt uncomfortable asking any questions because she seemed irritated. She also walked away from us before we finished ordering, so we had to put in the rest of our order when she came back. Many things were missed/forgotten (drink orders, utensils, napkins). One person's food came out very, very late. And when the drinks did arrive, she just put them all in front of one person so we had to disperse them appropriately. A grand diner that is actually much larger than it looks on the outside. Very clean and spacious. A great selection of breakfasts, both sweet and savory. Also a bar for those that want to enjoy a Bloody Mary or mimosa. They also provide you with Granny Smith apple slices and a maple cream cheese mix. That is so delish and holds you over. I ordered the steak and Chimichurri and it came with eggs, toast, and potato. It was a large steak, at least 10 ounces. The service was fantastic and everyone was kind and helpful.
