    Generator and tankless water heater.

We're very happy with Delta! Their service is excellent. Rob Green , Kim Brazil and entire team are always available to answer questions and service our account. We had a new generator scheduled and completed in just two days after my call to the office. Tankless water heater checked for propane conversion. Thank you Delta for all of your help!

An easy and convenient RV dump with a good parts and supply store. You can also fill your propane tank here. Right off the freeway.

We ran outside our building and…read morewatched the the three 450 foot towers sway ten feet at their crown and slowly come back to a full stop. My imagination was wondering if they would fall straight down or across the channel? They appeared to be far more resilient than my imagination! When folks talk about Morro Bay its one of two iconic features: The Rock or the 3 Stacks. The powerplant was decommissioned in 2014. It first started out as the Pacific Gas & Electric company whom spent a billion dollars on six power plants on the California Coast. At the Morro Bay plant location, they bought a former Navy Amphibious Training Base that the Navy released after their World War II training goals were completed and no longer needed; and sold to the County for $1. This was the Naval landing location for the amphibious assault of D-Day. Construction of the plant's Units 1 & 2 whereas one stack was completed in 1954 and Units 3 & 4 added two more stacks in the early 60s. The plant originally ran on oil and natural gas, switching full time to gas in 1995. Duke Energy North America -- seeking to be a part of California's experiment with deregulation of the energy industry -- bought four of PG&E's gas plants in 1998 -- Morro Bay, Moss Landing, Pittsburgh and Oakland -- and ran them for several years, while simultaneously seeking to upgrade with new more efficient so-called "combined cycle" plants. It succeeded at Moss with a plant that is still operational, but the upgrade proposal failed in Morro Bay. The plant has changed hands a couple of times through purchases and mergers, with Vistra of Irving, Texas the current owners. (https://esterobaynews.com/featured-stories/morro-bay-power-plant-a-life-after-people-relic/). Windmill offshore farms have been discussed as well as an Lithium-ion battery storage facility on site. Currently in 2025 there are no solid plans, but that is subject to change for redevelopment. Currently the facility is not in keen shape and its future is still being decided.

Morro Bay was chosen as the location for this iconic power plant prior to the beginning of…read moreconstruction in October 1953 given its proximity to ocean going fuel oil tankers and an unlimited source of cooling water for the power plant's turbine generators. The 140 acre site was formerly a U.S. Navy Base during World War II. Bechtel Corporation was chosen as the design and construction firm in charge of the $44 million dollar project, in today's dollars that equates to approximately $397,865,468. The initial project consisted only of a single powerhouse containing two 150,000 KW generators, a seawater intake building, a single 450 foot tall stack, fuel tanks, cooling water discharge piping, and a marine fuel line that extended some 4,400 feet into the ocean, the other units and stacks were added as the plant expanded to increase generating capacity. For each of the generating units there was one boiler furnace 139 feet high, or the equivalent of a 14 story building. The power plant employed the first seawater evaporators used for industrial production of fresh water in the United States. The plant was powered by fuel oil which was stored in four seven-million gallon tanks, and the plant consumed 500,000 gallons of fuel oil a day. Although the process appears complicated it's a relatively simple process built on a grand scale - fire the boiler with fuel oil where steam is created, supply steam to the turbine where motion is created, apply the motion to the generator where electricity is created, it's definitely not rocket science. This incongruous clash between nature and industry, played out on a small bay bobbing with fishing boats and nature lovers has long been a source of discontent in this small community halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. On February 5, 2014 the plant was shut down, leaving in its abandonment a "three-finger salute" to Morro Bay and a wake of frustration for the locals in regards to the fate of this valued piece of real estate. This no less assertive landmark that stares down the rock with its three 450-feet-high smokestacks, visible from 10 miles away has created quite the controversy. What once excited this community with the promise of jobs and tax revenue now is looked upon as an eyesore as it's infrastructure rots away. I personally think it's a historic contrast that should be preserved competing for the iconic status of the old and new, "Three Stacks and a Rock" is a great depiction and certainly could have a positive financial impact on the area's economy if given a chance. I know my visit here was enhanced because of both and I'd love to zip line from the top of the stacks to the volcanic plug sitting on the edge of this beautiful bay...
