I hired Delta Sign Shop May of 2023 to do my restaurant signage Appu's Turmeric Cafe in Long Beach, CA. Pete the proprietor got my information through the city and reached out. He was initially hired to do the outside store signage, inside restaurant signage, Freeway Pylon sign, corner of street signage and two misc signs. He quoted an all inclusive fee of approximately $7500.00, which I paid in full via check. This was inclusive of all permits. Pete completed the Outside restaurant sign, Inside restaurant sign, and the Freeway Pylon sign. He promised to finish the corner of street signs and the misc signs but never did. I needed one more sign on the side of the restaurant. For an additional $3600 (paid via check), the man just poof vanished after cashing the check. After repeated texts and telephone calls and requests to complete the job, the work is still unfinished. Pro's of Delta Sign Shop: The work completed was very nice. Con's of Delta Sign Shop: Pete the owner is a LIAR, CHEAT and is completely UNTRUSTWORTHY. His mother must be squirming somewhere for raising such a dishonest child. Even thieves have ethics. This man has none. People, DO NOT give this man any money until the job is complete. Pete has his standard set of lies. Those who have hired him will know the following. "The job will be completed next week, I had an emergency and had to go to Texas. He will even send you a screen shot of the road map to TEXAS. The boom truck guy did not show up. The printers screwed up. They mis spelled a word. I have to redo the pylon signs. This review is long overdue. To sum up, I am going to court to file a claim. I re-scheduled patients to make the meeting time work and this guy no-shows me. He calls an hour later to say he was in traffic. I took that as a sign to move on.... A few days later I was in a local floral shop, right across the street from my business and the owner mentioned Delta Sign Shop and spoke very highly of them! He wrote the name and number down of the business and I called Pete right away! Pete came out the next day and was already drafting up looks for the sign! Delta Signs quickly prepared the documents and resubmitted them to the City. Pete is very knowledgeable about the documentation and he knows the ins and outs of the whole process. Although the City's approval took some time because the officers were busy, Pete installed the sign immediately after we got the City's greenlight. As an E-bike technician, I can tell that Pete knows his job by heart with a professional attitude towards safety standards. I had a terrific experience dealing with Delta Sign Shop for our storefront sign. Pete's expertise helped to make our vision a reality. I hired Pete to put up signs for my business. At first, he was great and timely to get the measurements, colors, and details for the sign. We set up a date and time for Pete to come in and put up the signs, but he did not show up. I continuously called him and left messages for the next couple of months, with no answer or reply from him. A couple months AFTER our arranged date to put up the signs, Pete called me and said he will come in soon to put up the signs. When he came in, the signs were not the same measurements(they were A LOT smaller than we agreed to). I told him to make new signs up to our arranged measurements, but he said he will not do that. Then, I told him to return my deposit, and he denied. After all the headache, I told him to at least give me a discount on the smaller signs, but he denied again. Sometimes, products seem to fail and sometimes they exceed a customer's expectations! Unfortunately, my first sign started falling apart, but this was not Delta Sign's fault. It was explained to me, by Pete, that the material provided to his company has had numerous complaints. After getting a hold of Pete, he acknowledged the issues and then told me that this will be covered under warranty. I would say this was perfect timing actually because my gym, Barbarian Athletics, was adding a new CrossFit affiliation to the fitness center called CrossFit SBLB (check pics soon). Because of the faulty sign, Pete offered a little discount on our new sign and he also covered the old sign under warranty. I have yet to fulfill that item as the CrossFit SBLB sign just went up earlier this week, but looking forward to that as well! Anyways... let's talk about how fresh the new sign looks! It was definitely a process, but Pete persevered and delivered! He promised quality and he promised an awesome sign! BOOOOOOM... got it! You can see the sign a mile away!!!! Nice and bright! I did call several other sign companies to get other estimates, but none of them were very helpful (most won't even draw something for you without charging) and were almost 3 times the expense!
