We usually eat here when in Hot Springs and it never disappoints. The pizzas are great and huge. When you make a reservation, you not only give number of people, but also the number of doughs. Some friends from Little Rock joined us; we had two pizzas. The pies are huge and have eight slices. You can easily alter the pie. We had them add pepperoni to half of our pizza. We ate two slices each and brought home four slices. The server was very pleasant and was there to make us happy. The ambiance is simple, but the vibe is good...a happy loud, but not too loud. Let me start by saying that you need to reserve your dough ahead of time. Now, this place was OUTSTANDING! Vernon was our waiter and was very accommodating and helpful with the menu. This was our first time, I don't know when we'll be back to Hot Springs, but hopefully not our last. We ordered Spinach and Artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was great. The bread gave it a little something extra. It was only my wife and I so we split a Pizza and it couldn't have been better prepared! We saved just enough room for dessert and the Lemon Icebox Cake was a perfect treat on a warm summer day. The hype is worth it! And if you get Vernon as your server even better! We stopped by on Saturday night, but too hungry to survive the 2hr wait. The hostess was very helpful (I missed getting her name), but she advised reserving a dough for Sunday. If you don't know about Deluca's Pizza they only make so much fresh dough each day and when it's gone - it's gone. Additionally, if you know your pizzas this is Brooklyn Style. The dough is stretched thin and hand-tossed, creating air pockets contributing to its light and airy texture. This crust is cooked in coal or wood-fired ovens at high temperatures, resulting in a perfectly charred exterior and a chewy, flavorful bite. Knowing this is important when looking at the reviews. Back to our experience. We came back for lunch on Sunday and as she said it would be - there was a sizable line behind they opened and we all got seated. She also said that Sunday is a good time to come and I agree - not so crazy busy! With Vernon's agreement, we had half with The Renzi (red sauce) and the other Jamesy (white sauce) and added Prosciutto on the other half. I also had a Peach Bellini. My husband prefers red sauce and I prefer white so getting both in the same pizza is awesome. We liked both styles. What can I say about the staff? They hustle and are very friendly, but like I mentioned we enjoyed Vernon's attention and information of the menu and the area. We came to Hot Springs for hiking and DeLuca's! We started with DeLuca's and the trip is already worthwhile! DeLuca's is in an old school space that reminds me of a 1970's pizza joint. Lots of hardwood, not well lit, and loud! A long bar occupies the right side of the room and we chose to sit there because even though it was mid-afternoon, there was a quite a crowd of happy pizza lovers! As we sipped excellent Bloody Marys, we enjoyed cheese covered focaccia. The bread was soft, flavorful and perfectly salted. The cheese was next level divine. I knew the pizza would be magical because the focaccia, served with a red dipping sauce was top shelf and the ingredients were clearly chosen with care. The pizza was the star of the show and I will not be able to do it justice with mere words. Great crust with little flop, perfect char and rich flavor served as the foundation for a mouth dazzling blend of cheeses and red sauce. No oil was visible. Herbs and spices were perfectly balanced. My companion said Hot Springs should have an airport just so people can fly in for lunch at DeLuca's and I agree! Our first time in Hot Springs and this was one of the top restaurants recommended. We were there on a Friday night and the wait was only 30 min! We ordered a Caesar for two and a half Sarah Meadows and half Jamesy Pie and a Cannoli and everything was DELICIOUS! One of the best pizzas we have ever had. The only thing I didn't like was the atmosphere and decor. It was a little too dark, made it difficult to even read your menu, and it was very loud-- hard to hear the waitress or the person sitting in front of you. The photos that lined the walls were headshots of random "attractive" women, which is fine, it just didn't seem to fit the vibe of everything else and felt out of place. I think I may have just ordered the wrong thing, and it may just be my taste, but the crust definitely was char heavy. Otherwise it was good. The kind of pizza I ordered was the "Sidetown". We got the barstool recommended pizza and added pepperoni and onions - asked for bell pepper but they were either out or don't serve it. I tried the blueberry wheat beer on draft that was recommended and it for as very good also. I like ranch on my pizza but they don't serve it but i get that it is probably a Texas thing and it was good without it. OMG. I've had a lot of good pizza in my life, and this may be the best NY-style charred brick oven pie (that's pizza in NY speak) I've ever had. The pizza dough, toppings, temperature - all of it was spectacular. I even got to meet the owner (he walks around the restaurant and frequently greeted customers) and he seems like a super cool, unapologetic, no nonsense kind of guy. He knows good food and he creates good food. I looked around while dining and all the customers looked super pleased. The ambiance was hip and spacious. There is a lot of seating, and on a Thursday evening around 7 pm, it was quite busy. I called ahead of time and made a reservation for my pizza dough. Note: you can't make a reservation for a table but you can reserve your dough. If you don't, they may run out, so don't say I didn't warn you. I showed up 20 min before my pizza dough reservation, and they seated my party of 4 immediately. The waitress was super nice and made some recommendations of things to do around town. We stayed at the Hotel Hot Springs and it's only a 5 minute walk from there. Dude, I'm telling you, this was excellent pizza. Perhaps the GOAT. Congrats, Anthony (the owner). People all over Hot Springs raved abut DeLuca's. We tried once to get in and the wait was 2 hours. We could not stay. But in the next couple of days we made a reservation and still had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes. There is some nice seating outside to wait and street parking. The establishment is not very big so understandably there is going to be a wait. We were waited on pretty quickly and the server was sweet and helpful with our questions. The pizzas are brick oven. Hand made, cold dough (maybe) since it is VERY COLD in the restaurant and hostess said it was because of the dough. She also said she should tell folks to bring a jacket when they make a reservations and she had on layers of clothing. So take a jacket if you get chilly in restaurants. We opted for 2 pizzas 1/2 cheese (Franky's) 1/2 white pie (Jamsey) 1/2 Franky with meatball 1/2 sauage The white pizza was my favorite. It was creamy and very cheesy but not at all greasy. The cheese pizza on the other hand was pretty greasy, especially after it started to cool off. Pizza was served piping hot. Too hot to eat, challenging to cut. Crust was very thin and almost soggy, not as crisp as I would have liked. The pizzas are huge. 18 inches. The sauage was pretty spicy but one of our group loved it. Been waiting impatiently to try this place since I planned my trip to hot springs. First saw it because of barstool sports review, I was excited to see what all the hype was about in this busy and popping Italian sports bar. The first night I got here we ran up and found a spot at the bar, and was prepared to finally taste this delicious looking pizza, only to find out you need a pizza reservation to get ahold of the coveted pie. So we got to try a few of their pastas the first night, and as an Italian myself, they did not disappoint. The vodka sauce has a nice zing and the meatballs are great, reminds me of my mom's. But I still had unfinished business... The next night we managed to grab a pizza reservation, and with the anticipation building I couldn't wait to see the hype. We have a large group so we got 5 different pies, and they were all PHENOMENAL. The favorites being the sidetown, which is just a cheese, It really allows you to taste the quality of the za. The other favorites were the patsy (spicy pie) and pepperoni mushroom. After having Deluca's for two consecutive nights, I can say confidently that I did not expect to have this good of Italian food in Arkansas, and it is a must hit when in town. The best American (New York) Italian food around. Also, the best service. The servers here will treat you like family, and if you're lucky enough to visit when the owner is making his rounds, he will embrace you like family, too. It was so hard to figure out what to get because everything on the menu sounds so delicious. They have several different 18-inch brick-oven-cooked "pies," and because I was visiting with several people, we chose The Renzi (tomato sauce, mozzarella and Italian sausage) and the Patsy Searcy (chili oil, honey, sopresatta). Both were amazing, but I think I loved the one with honey and chili the most because that sweet and spicy element added just a little something. These brick-oven pizzas come out with chewy yet crispy crust, with slightly charred bits. The pizzas are wonderful. We also got a salad for the table, and chose the arugula salad, which comes with white beans and parmesan. Exquisite. Why I never thought to put beans in a salad ... I don't know. But now my mind has been opened. Beans with arugula and cheese is my favorite combination. Of course, I had to get a Caesar salad too, because I need to try the CaeSal everywhere I go. This Caesar salad was fresh and crunchy, with a toasted parmesan tuile on top (kind of like a lace cookie, but made with cheese). Meatballs: This is a big one for me, because I love meatballs. These ones at DeLuca's come over tomato sauce, with a dollop of ricotta and toasted crostini. The meatballs were tender and I could have eaten a whole order just by myself. Someone at my table was gluten-free, and luckily, DeLuca's offers gluten-free pasta. She said it was delicious! I was super surprised to see that they offer cheeseburgers here. The owner is very proud of his cheeseburgers, so we had to get one to try. WTF: The cheeseburger at DeLuca's is amazing. And not just for an Italian restaurant. I can honestly say that this DeLuca's cheeseburger was one of the best I've tasted in a while. It's very simple and just comes with a hamburger patty and cheese on a bun, but really, that's all you need. Don't be ashamed to order a cheeseburger at DeLuca's -- because this is definitely an item to get. We ended our meal with dessert. They have seven (!) desserts on their menu, and we chose the olive oil cake, lemon ice box cake, and tiramisu. I loved the lemon ice box cake the most -- it was super rich and creamy, and not at all too lemony. The citrus cleansed the palate and was a nice way to end a superb meal. read more

Had this restaurant recommended to me by someone in Eureka Springs, so my friend and I decided to try it when we got to Hot Springs. We were very disappointed. The cheese was very rubbery and the crust was tough. I am not sure if the dough was over-worked, overcooked, or both. Not worth the price. Giving an extra star because our waitress was super sweet and tried to see if we wanted anything instead, but since we had waited an hour for our food, we just wanted to leave. Wow! I never imagined that I would find pizza this good in Arkansas. This is seriously well made pizza. And the other menu items are fantastic. Make sure you call ahead for reservations. We didn't have reservations (party of 3) but the staff were so accommodating and were able to get my elderly parents and me seated in a few minutes. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The dining room is fairly spacious yet cozy. Don't sleep on DeLuca's if you're in Hot Springs (and Little Rock where they have a second location). read more

It is unusual for me to say anything negative about pizza places since I seldom find a pizza that I don't like at least a little. I was not a fan of the crust texture of our two take out pizzas. The crust was tough without being either crispy or doughy. Our cheese pizza had a huge burned bubble in the middle and the other pizza's sauce was as if they added hot sauce to it - not the best and I like spicy foods. The toppings on both were skimpy and I felt did not give good value for the price paid. Probably will not go back, sad to say. read more

We were the fourth group in the door. First impressions were the creepy big a$$ photos of either overly photoshopped or AI women. We were a party of 6, & the hostess tried to put us at a four top. We then suggested to put two tables together and they looked at us like we spoke a second language. After speaking with our server, Vernon, we ordered the Flatbush and added pepperoni, plus a Caesar salad for 2. The pizza was excellent, the best we've had since moving here. The salad was pretty epic too! Right up there with the great food, was the service. Vernon gave us the whole story about the restaurant, the ingredients, the owners background, we were made to feel quite welcome. We must have come in at the perfect time.
