Not So Deluxe Massage! Waste Of Time and Money So this was my first time here and the impression was kind of odd. I thought I would try a new place out and maybe find something great... I guess not. Not Friendly: The lady didn't introduce herself, so she is just the older lady... No talking, not even a word. And I don't want to talk during a massage, but usually they say hello and ask how you are doing at least. I chose the $60 deep tissue 1 hour massage after lots of working out and a stressful week. I just wanted to relax, and feel a bit better. Deep Tissue: Not deep tissue at all. I was wondering when the massage was going to start most of the time. She kept wiggling my legs and doing a half way job on everything. Lots of inner thigh grazing which I expect usually means they want to get a literal rise out of you for other things so maybe she was mad everything stayed calm... I paid her the $60 for the massage and gave $20 tip even though it sucked, I just didn't have change and wanted to leave.... she avoided eye co tact and said thanks as though she expected more of a tip for my half way massage. Just got off work at like 8:50pm and i was very tired. I been working 1 month straight as a Trainer for a business. Quickly look up and found Deluxe but they close at 10pm so i quickly rush there and got here at like 10:15pm. I was worried that i wont get my 1hr as i hope but thankfully the host talked to her masseurs and they agree to help me out. My first 20mins was with one masseur but something came up so she has to go home. I was worried that i wont get my 1hr but the second masseur show up to save the day. I gotta say it was amazing. I was expecting more professionalism. Had to upgrade to the deep tissue on how feathery- light the massage was starting off. The deep tissue was a lot better. Now for the cons- when I had my face down, I could tell she was on the phone. For one, she was using one hand and then would drift pressure-wise before she almost stops herself from massaging at all. When I turn faced up, I see the phone by feet -on but faced down- Validating she was totally on her phone multiple times during the massage. Now the icing on the cake- she walks out as she was acting receptionist too as someone walks in. Comes back in.... now I'm pretty irritated- she starts massaging again then I hear her picking up the phone call as someone was making an appointment and asking for rates. I'm a pretty good tipper but even giving her 15% was more than generous for my bad experience. It's covid and it was good when she actually paid attention to my massage-hence the two starts. Just nasty and painfully bad. I kept looking at the clock hoping my hour was done. She use more oil than a Jiffy Lube. Felt like I was getting sunblock applied rather than massage. As far as techniques it was probably the same as my pool cleaner. Totally random. She started on my shoukders moved my lower back moved to my scalp moved to my right arm moved to a shoulder again start to go with the left and then back to the right it was all over the place. No pattern or flow. She left the door open slightly which was odd. She threw her elbows into my kidneys for about 20 minutes just to kill time. But really never got to massage my neck. She never even asked about any concerns when I started. So not a great experience. read more

So me and my girlfriend got a massage. We both paid for deep tissue massages. Her was great and super deep tissue. We both get massages about twice a month and my massage was the worst I've had in years. It was not deep tissue at all. I think i got the same person and some of the other 2 star ratings. She lightly touches you and touches your very inner thigh a lot. She went "kind of" hard on like one knot on my back and the rest was an oil rub down. I'll be going home to use my foam roller because my lower back and legs were not relieved at all. If you come here you're either going to get a good massage or roll the dice and set $70 on fire. Lucky me in finding this place at first it does look a little sketchy since the bathroom is also a giant shower. My masseuse was great but she did chew gum during my session she was alittle chatty too. She made a few comments about how tense I was but at the end of the hour I could feel the difference. The pressure while hard and sometimes a little painful, (you just have to let them know if you are uncomfortable) but it has made a huge difference in keeping my back loose and pain free. Massage started off okay, but then another massage therapist came in and also started to massage my legs. Then they offered a "4 hand" massage - at the time, I didn't think anything of it and agreed. The price was double but I thought might as well try it - worst decision I made. One of the ladies (Lucy) was moving very fast, but doing a decent job, the other one (didn't catch her name) was doing a very lack luster job - the massage she was giving was very lazy. The uneven massage was making me feel very uncomfortable; I know that the ladies can't exactly match each other but the contrast was far too great. However, that wasn't the worst part - during this time they were constantly chatting in their native tongue. I'm not saying they couldn't chat, but for someone who was looking to get a nice relaxing massage, constantly hearing them "whisper" during the time was very annoying, frustrating, and not relaxing. While I don't think they may have been talking about me when they were "whispering" between each other, to me it is very rude to be talking in a language that I can't understand while giving me a lazy massage. I came to get a massage so I can relax and hit some spots that have been bothering me; I said to the first lady who started on me to hit my left shoulder and my lower back - while the first lady got my shoulders pretty good my lower back, which was bothering me, was completely missed. Surprising how that can happen when you have two people trying to give you a massage. I ended up stopping the massage early, around 35min (paid double for an hour). Not a good experience - not sure if I'll ever try this place again, but as a recommendation, if any of the things I mentioned here might also be annoying and frustrating to you, do not do the 4 hand massage. I requested a therapeutic massage due to recent back surgery and indicated where hip and arm zones required attention. I received a basic massage (back only, no hands or feet or neck or deep tissue therapeutics) and the wrong arm was overly massaged until I redirected (courteously) the masseuse to the right arm. The massage started late and ended early, and afterward I was accosted to leave a large tip. I shall not return. I had the two-hour Lomi Lomi massage and I can't decide if I would go back. Here's why: Pros: 1. Great price $100 plus tip. 2. Great massage. Still not completely sure about Lomi Lomi Massage. Felt very similar to Swedish but more areas involved at the same time (may be massaging arm, back, and leg in one sweep so less draping at any given moment). Draping was always modest but not much covered up sometimes. 3. Clean facilities. Cons: only one. The whole point of a Lomi Lomi Massage is flow but my massage was disrupted at least five times by my therapist leaving to answer the phone (once might have been to talk to a person who walked in). She did apologize the first couple of times she came back in but I get two hour massages to completely disconnect and the phone ringing was okay but not her leaving to answer it. Get an answering service that can book to your calendar or hire someone at minimum wage to sit at the desk. But for the disruptions, I would have given Deluxe Massage an unreserved 5 stars. read more

The woman at the front desk was actually kind of rude to start, but I still booked and didn't think too much about it. We were from out of town and had to uber there. About 5 minutes before our appointment the front desk lady called to see where we were (and not in a friendly way). My friend said she didn't had a horrible experience, but was not happy about the therapist leaving the room with the door open while she was laying exposed on the table. My therapist left the room every couple minutes to answer the front door and phone. This wasted time was not taken into account for the "hour" massage that I paid for.
