I had a great experience at this new location for me, which is conveniently only 5 minutes away. I will definitely be returning in the future. Even though I made an appointment for 3 p.m., and ran a few min behind, they were able to accommodate me despite being busy. The salon was clean and well-organized, and they had a humidifier that helped to minimize the smell of nail polish and polish remover. The price was reasonable, and Tammy, the nail technician, was incredibly kind and friendly, making me feel very welcome. I asked her for a surprise with a Halloween-themed design, and I was pleasantly surprised and amazed by her work. She shaped my nails into an oval shape since they were not long enough for an almond shape yet. She used black polish with some added designs. There was really nothing relaxing about my manicure though. I got maybe 10 seconds of a lotion hand "massage" at the end. I felt rushed throughout the entire process. If I could give a zero I would. I've had decent experiences here but the last two visit regarding the staff and their level of lack of professionalism and I mean exceptionally rude. Today, I had a male staff member to fill my overlay and repair a broken nail. When I say he did this in 30 mins and his work was subpar at best. I asked for a square shape and he gave me squarish nails. I thought he would file them more but when he finished and I looked at the nail I guess my face read I was unhappy. It was my plan to pay and not continue service with them going forward. The manager must have read my face and asked what was wrong, I said initially I questioned the color but the color was correct. I then said I don't care for the shaping. He jumps up and say why didn't you say that at first. I replied I told you square. This is not quality work not to mention you rushed through it. He begrudgingly grab his things and she took over. In doing so, he grabs his things and under his breath says Bit_ _. Not low enough that I couldn't hear him though. I said oh you calling me a B? The manager sends him to the back. She refiles every nail and apologizes. Not acceptable. I said I don't know what type of people you employ but I choose to come here. At this point I've been about 8 times. Yet this is it for me. Now I would never recommend anyone there. She kept telling me what he didn't say. I said if you didn't hear it that's fine but I know what he said so please stop trying to get to convince me otherwise. Flip flop season is never over! I found a great salon close to home. How nice to get squeezed in late on a Friday night. I was able to soak while I waited. My feet look great, the massage and hot towel felt relaxing. They offered water and pop. The staff is super friendly, communicative and talented. I just took my daughter Chloé to see Tammy, the owner, and May. My daughter has been seeing Tammy for over a year now and would never go anywhere else. She is the absolute best at doing nails and is as equally sweet. We both had wonderful experiences. My sister and I decided to go here just to have some fun, and we ended up falling in love with this place! Our nails looked fabulous by the end, and the massage chairs were perfect. Came here for the first time since I've recently moved to this side of town. And I was truly disappointed I am typically not one to write a review because I am sure nothing will change. But I also saw someone wrote a very similar review to my experience on the same day I had my terrible experience. My pedicure lasted a whole 17 min, she barely did anything. She was talking to another coworker barely buffing, barely filing, doing absolutely nothing at all, except acting as if she was. Dip price was increased with out notice. I had a dip 30 days prior at $45 and was charged $50 today. The base coat polish was gummy when the nail tech applied it and instead of getting a new bottle she thinned the polish. For $50 I should be getting quality product that is not watered down. This was my second trip there. The first trip I only got a pedicure. That trip I had ordered the Volcano Pedicure but received a botanical instead.. I chalked it up to a language/mask barrier. This last trip my friend and I both were doing mani-pedi's, she ordered a botanical pedicure, I ordered the creme' de la creme'. My naturally took a little longer than hers. When she was finished they moved her to a nail chair. When I was finished the had "forgot" about my desire to have a full set and asked me to pay. Then seemed to scramble when they realized the mistake. My friend was getting a full set as well. The man started mine 30 mins after my friend had started hers, I was completed 5 mins after she finished. They are crooked, not all the way painted, uneven. I just took my daughter to get a no chip manicure with a design ($43) and left the nail salon with her cuticle bleeding and some sort of smeared white dots as a so called flower. One of the owners went over to assist the gentleman doing my daughters nails because he was struggling with the design. I voiced to the owner that I was not happy with it and she didn't even try to fix it. My best friend told me that she loved this place for mani/pedi, and as we had the day off, we decides to take ourselves for mani's. My friend got a normal mani and an eyebrow wax that she was very pleased with. I decided in a Hot Stone Therapy mani and got Shelly. She was very thorough (and a bit pushy about trying additional services). Tips of my fingers to up to my elbows was treated. Hot wet towels, parifin on hands, exfoliation, and of course polish - $25. Wonderfully relaxing :) The music is kinda 90's boy band meets 80's love songs, but it wasn't really bad. I'd like to try their pedi. The chairs look awesome and my friend swears they do a great job, but... CAUTION: They will NOT include tip if you use your card to pay. I think it's their way of getting cash tips so they don't have to claim it in their taxes. That is the one thing I REALLY don't like and delays my return. I pay EVERYTHING with my card and rarely ever have cash. I had to have my friend run to the bank and get some cash for me to pay her, which was VERY annoying and inconvenient. read more

Started going to Paul about a year ago when another salon gave me heavy, chunky gel set. I asked him to help me out and make them look more natural. He is fantastic! Listened to what I wanted and made it happen. Paul is very nice and friendly, too! I have had numerous manicures and pedicures at Deluxe. Try the paraffin wax pedi...AMAZING! I've been going here for over a year now religiously every 2 weeks! I love Nancy that's who I see regularly but I think all the girls are great. Im very picky about my nails. I get gel nails but I still like them to look very natural and Nancy always does a great job! I've also seen Michelle and she does a great job as well. Good afternoon. I used to come to this shop years ago and stopped because of the HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER CARE! November 2014 I decided to give them another try. I thought that I found a gem. .or so I thought when VAN started doing my nails. Today April 2015, the day before Easter, I called early in the morning and made an appointment for 415pm with VAN. I got there on time and waited until 433. I asked if I could soak the no chip polish off prior to Van Attending to me. The lady said ok...then she proceeded to speak to VAN in their native tongue and VAN looked at me and said "I have NO TIME FOR YOU!" I asked her if she was serious..she said "YES"...upon telling them I called, they said know but she is busy with customers try someone else....I told them they should be considerate of people's loyalty and time. I too am a customer with an appointment. Let's face it there is a shop on every corner and POOR SERVICE will get nowhere. I clearly told them I would not be back. They had the nerve to say okay! As I walked out I saw that they had done the same with other patrons. I am utterly disgusted to say the very least! If I could give a negative rating I defiantly would. Though this review is about 6-8 months late, I've been here around 8 times and haven't ever had a BAD experience. YES, at times there is a wait. Is that really surprising being in a suburb of Chicago?? Aurora has almost 200,000 people in it. SO, I'm not even complaining about the wait, that's a given. My mom and I have gone in together at times, and sometimes I went w/ my daughter. Depending on how busy they are; you can sit next to each other and get them done together/ sometimes not. I really don't think they are obligated to give ya'll pedicures at the EXACT same time side by side. Seems like a ridiculous thing to complain about, honestly. I've gotten numerous ladies when I've went alone, and w/my mom and they have always done a wonderful job. Honestly. They really have. There was a man once who wasn't very good at doing nails, and was more concerned w/ his phone stating "someone be blowin' up my phone" (wait what? Slang for texting, I'm sure), and in addition I've overheard other women complain about their nails when he finished..but I'm positive he isn't working there anymore, and I only had him work on my nails once. The other ladies there are personable, and do a great job w/ the pedicures. I suppose some may be better than others, but I really wasn't keeping a score sheet to compare. Point being- I was happy with the service. Perhaps all the low reviews are based on women who are used to expensive preferential treatment? I went in here on a Sunday because I needed a manicure and my other place is closed on Sunday and this was the only day I could go. At first impression I a) felt uncomfortable walking in because I walked into the door and everyone just sort of starred at me like what did I think I was doing there and b) was thrown off because they only had one little itty bitty rack of polishes by the front door and the rest of the racks with colors were randomly place throughout the shop behind the chairs and in the back of the shop. I had to excuse myself to get to one of the racks because one manicurist was sitting right in front of the rack I wanted to look at doing someone's nails. I don't think that's a good idea it was hard to find a color I wanted and I felt awkward walking through the shop I felt like I was interrupting. I also thought that it was a bit tight in there. The chairs were really close together and the pedicure chairs are angled facing the front of the shop which I assume is so they can fit more chairs in the back. But my opinion is that if I went in there with my girlfriend or mom I would want to be able to talk to them and with the chairs that way you wouldn't be able to. After I got settled in, picked my color, and got started with my manicure the manicurist was very friendly and nice and she even offered me a drink while I was getting my nails done which I though was a nice touch. It's also fairly priced I thought as compared to other places in the area. read more

I came back yesterday morning and was not thrilled with my fill. I had a guy do my nails at table 5, i told him i wanted the same shape but shorter. He proceeded to round my square nails, which i had to correct him. I got no chip polish and he did not use a base coat?? I have never gotten a no chip polish (acrylic or regular manicure) without a base coat so i am very worried about chipping. He also grabbed the wrong color and tried to play it off as they were mislabled, but i told him i did not want the color he picked. I left the salon with mixed feelings and super swollen and itchy cuticles. I dropped my rating down to a 2 since the nail files he used on me were NOT new and whatever else he did made my cuticles swollen, which doesnt usually happen at other places. Some of my nails were not filed straight and some are different shapes. My thumb nail was lifting from the acrylic, he saw it and ignored it, so i have a fresh fill and my thumb is still lifting from the acrylic. Dont know if i'll come back again. (2 days later and my nails have already started chipping. I have dropped the rating down to 1 star.) read more

We have been here three times now for a pedicure and the service is always pretty good. The first time they sat me and my husband and started our feet soaking right away so even though we had to wait it was more than fine... The second time no feet soaking while waiting in the chair... And this time (currently still there), my feet are soaking and my husbands aren't! All and all - they give a very nice pedicure with a WONDERFUL leg scrub/massage. Also. Looks like they got new chairs since the last time we were here so it's great to know they keep upgrading! :) read more

I went here on July 3 to get a full set acrylic done. They charge $25 and I wanted to get a red color with a matte coat and they said it would be an extra $3. Sure, why not? The next day I woke up and it looked like the matte coat turned into white powder so I had to wait until the following day to go in to get them fixed. They wanted to charge me $7 to fix my nails! I thought it was ridiculous I had to pay them to fix the matte coat that I paid extra for! Never coming back! Oh and 2 oh my nails came out crooked. read more
