I recently took my granddaughter to Deluxe Nails & Spa 3801 E Hwy 377, Granbury, TX 76049 for a little bonding time--just a simple pedicure for me and a basic manicure for her. Nothing fancy, just some quality girl time with a splash of polish. Meanwhile, folks who came in after us were whisked away like royalty on a spa-themed red carpet. Technicians were assigned to them faster than you can say "gel upgrade," while we remained the lonely peasants in the land of Deluxe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I (politely!) asked the host what was going on, he snapped back with the warmth of a nail file: "You only paid for the basic service. You have to wait for the basic attendant. There are three people ahead of you."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ah yes, the basic attendant--a mystical creature who apparently appears only during lunar eclipses and coffee breaks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At that point, my granddaughter was giving me the "Can we go now?" eyes, and honestly, I was right there with her. I came here looking for a good nail salon, and left here still looking. The tech was putting on used gloves, yuk! I ask if she reused them and she said yes. Then she also was using unwashed unsterile instruments. I ask her about that too, and she put them back until later when she pulled them out again. She also hurt me when cutting my nails, and scratched my foot which bled. I'll be using antibiotic cream for sure, and hoping I won't get an infection. I won't be going back here for sure! read more

Initially was very impressed with the location, and was looking forward to getting pampered. Truthful the beverages sounded like a great way to relax with my pedicure. Unfortunately it took forever to get my first drink and then the owner repeatedly ignore a request for a second drink while I waited for my friend to get finished. The pedicurist did a great job job. She was very attentive and made sure I was enjoying my downtime. She seemed embarrassed by the way the person who was suppose to make sure clients were served was acting. I would not have been so disappointed if I had heard what a great place this was and how the drinks really made it feel like a retreat. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I never write reviews but would not want anyone to spend money for what I experienced today. I got a guy I had never seen before and he was awful and very ill mannered. He kept burping right over the top of my feet without even an "excuse me". This happened several times.....very loud and obvious. Then his phone rings and he takes the call for about 3 minutes, hangs up and starts texting or doing something on his phone. This went on several more minutes until I politely reminded him that I had an appointment down the road at 2:15. I paid for a 65 minute pedicure. I checked in at 12:47 and he didn't even start the pedicure until almost 1. He was completely finished at 1:37. So I got about a 40 minute pedicure and paid for 65 minutes. I have been here a few other times and they weren't bad experiences. But, this was so bad, I will never go back. read more

I went in yesterday about 5:30 for a pedicure and dip nails. My pedicure was great. But the guy doing my nails took a very long time to do my nails... it took almost 2 hours for dip nails. Towards the end he was rushing and did not shape my nails correctly. My color is blotchy on my nails, and it just looks terrible. I get he wanted to leave because they closed at 7, but it is not my fault he took almost 2 hours on my nails! Also, when he was filing my nails, he was doing it so fast and hard it was starting to hurt. He never asked me if I liked them, only the color. I will not be returning to get my nails done there. I could have gotten glue on nails from Walmart and they'd look better than mine... read more

I had a fill and gel done on Thursday. On Saturday my acrylic lifted. I called to have them fix. They had me wait even though I had an appointment. I told them I had an appointment I had to get to they still did not want to fix and told me to come back after appointment. Horrible service recovery and horrible acrylic gel nails. Where do I start... decided to give this place one last chance because my nails never last long when I go here. Lack of knowledge in nail which is the whole point of a nail salon ridiculous prices for no chip manicure that will chip the next day. She said the 'long the better' for my no chip under the uv light even though everyone knows that that not true. They lack a variety of colors and just over all not worth any bodies time. If you want to get a good manicure/no chip avoid this place and save you money PERIODT. read more

I got my nails and toes done, paid $150 including tip. my nails are no where near what I asked for and when I asked why they look bad she said it was cause I got my nails done short. they looked like they were lifting and the dip isn't covering my whole nail. the top of my nails are bumpy. I really hate to do this but honestly I've been really disappointed. Deluxe has been my go to since we moved to Granbury, but the last three times I went have been terrible. My last two sets of dip nails have been awful! They broke within the first three days of leaving the salon. The first time, I figured it was something I did so I just chalked it's up to that. But when I got home from the salon this last time four of my nails were cracking. And within a week four have broken off. I asked them to fix the ones with cracks and was told it would cost me a fill. I had just gotten them done 4 days before. Besides that I went in for an appointment for a facial and waited an hour after my appointment time. As well as, the last time I went in the card reader wasn't working. They kept taking clients without telling them it was a problem. Then held you hostage until you went to go get cash from an atm, wrote a check (which is what I did after trying to help them out for 20 minutes fix the problem), or found another way to pay. I am all for making sure people get paid for their service, but acting like it was on your customers to figure out the problem for you and not letting people as they walked in know there was an issue is completely unacceptable. All and all, I won't be returning though I always loved this place. But you all need to make your own opinion on it. As I have had more good than bad experiences with them. But something has changed with the new management. read more

Awful, rushed, no relaxation! Me, my mom, and my sister went in on a Wednesday and it was not crowded at all. Only 4 other people were there and 3 of them were getting their nails done. We were getting pedicures. They rushed with everything and we had to constantly tell them that something hurts or they messed up on something. We also got manicures and one lady spilled the water from the bowl all over my mom and didn't even offer to clean it up and just kept filing as my mom was trying to dry off. My manicure was crooked and she filed too much of my nail bed off that now my nails are breaking. She also buffed my nail so much that scratches were all over my nails. Will not go back! There are way too many nail salons in Granbury to settle for this type of service! read more

Unfortunately I won't be visiting this nail salon again. I got a manicure and pedicure and the color was a little different for the nails. Within a couple of days the polish just started flaking off my nails through no fault of my own. At my first opportunity a day or so later I went back and explained this but the guy at the front was very rude telling me everything I "should" have done in order to have this problem fixed. He basically accused me of lying. I was stunned at his behavior and rudeness especially because I was trying to be very polite. i just simply wanted my nails polished. I went over to Upscale Nails and they were busy as usual and I sure know why. There were only two or three people at Deluxe Nails which should have been my first clue on both occasions. Took my daughter here for her first ever pedicure. They took special care of her. I was delightfully surprised they had a child manicure and that the complementary drinks included kid stuff like milk. They were great! Adult men. I also got a pedicure. Yes, men can (and probably should) go and get their feet worked on. It was awesome. Foot massage, scrubbing, trimming. Now my feet are acceptable in public. The atmosphere was great. Good lighting. Please do not go here unless you want an infection. They used a product that literally disintegrated my nails. They cut my fingers during the manicure so badly that I had to ask them to stop with the manicure. The guy forgot to file my nails. I had to remind him to file before painting. I'll add that he forgot to file because during my manicure he got up 5 times to help other people. I complained about the fact that he was going to charge full price and then was told that it was my problem that he didn't file my nails. Really???!!!! My problem that you forgot to file nails. I was getting a no chip manicure: when the tech opened the tool package, I noticed one of the tools was dirty! I told her and she did clean it but obviously they don't sanitize their equipment!! Also, the pink cotton holders they use for removing no chip polish is reused! 3. The place is dirty. (This is being nice) 4. The man at the first table when you walk in is rude! I was disappointed with this salon. The guy that did my pedicure nicked the skin on the side of my toes twice. I have never had an issue with my toes for him to feel he needed to dig out skin. ..his reasoning. I had to tell him not to trim the sides anymore. Also had to tell him to not rub so hard on my legs and ankles. It was painful at first. He also leaned his arm on my foot at times. Not comfortable. Also, he had his nose in the tv most of the massage. Most of the communication with me was about the tv show he was watching. I was not interested in that at all. Communication and eye contact with customers is crucial. Customer service, from greeting to sitting in the chair was great. If I could leave no stars I would. They're so fast because they just want to get to the next person so they get the money. They don't care to keep customers they did my mother in laws manicure and the lady painted her nails so thick with nail polish so much that once it dries it was for sure going to chip immediately I asked her to take it off and just leave it well she's didn't even take the polish all the way off. They looked awful not only that she left cuts all over her cuticles. We had to go to Heb and get nail polish and remover. My nails were also super rushed and sooo thick dip. Also both of our pedicures were very short barely got a massage. I will never go here again. I normally don't complain but when the manager just says "sorry" it made me mad. read more
