I thought the first review posted was a bit funny. As a somewhat new business, there'll be ups and downs, positives and negatives, and good and bad employees (in which bad employees will eventually be weeded out and replaced with better employees). She might've had a horrible experience which sucks but my experience was different. It's my new go to spot! I went in today for a gel manicure on natural nails. I initially wanted French but she couldn't do them the way I wanted to so I settled for the clear pink base. She performed the hand and arm massage which is standard with the service. I was satisfied when I went to pay she quoted me $50 and I was appalled because price was never discussed nor different types of the gel manicure. I expected to pay no more than $25 and I was disappointed when she didn't even try and make it right by saying anything to help me understand how I got charged so much. I will never return due to lack of communication and professionalism. This place is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional!! I would not recommend coming here at all! I walked in and asked for a fill. Everyone looked at me. One of the ladies started asking the other workers who could do my fill... it was obvious that no one wanted to do the service. Why I don't know. It was 1.5 before close. But again you are a nail shop. After about 3 minutes the lady informed me to go sit. I was already feeling uneasy because of the fact no one wanted to service me. I sat down and the man rudely goes "Let me see your nails". I showed it to him and stated I just wanted to get French tip again. I pointed out I had one broken nail and asked if I should just get a new set. He started screaming "No new set!! We only do fill for you! That's it!!" I was taken back at how unprofessional and rude this was of him. I got up and stated never mind I would take my money else where. I would never go back here ! Not even for free! I give this place a 1 star. Paid for a service and did not get what I paid for. I got a tropical deluxe pedicure. The massage was 20 minutes leg and foot. No stones. I looked specifically for this option..the lady gave me the worst massage and with a dam stone. She kept rubbing it on my shin. Which hurts!!! I told her I don't like the stone and she did not listen. I never got my foot massage. The massage was for a total of 20 minutes. She massage my legs for approximately 5 minutes.... The total massage. I did not tip her. Expensive treatment but you get less done. Silly. Guys don't go her for a pedicure. Sucked!! I never give reviews on places. I had just came out of deluxe nails and spa and I feel like I didn't even walk in and spend the 2 1/2 hours there. I got a gel clear coat with manicure and it took her less than 10 minutes to do. They didn't even do the manicure part, just a glorified nail paint for $25. I waited an hour for them to even get to me and turn on the water for my pedicure, which they just turned it on for three seconds only to turn it off, leaving the water very cold when it got to the actual pedicure. They finally got to me an hour and 45 minutes later from initially being sat down with a cold water pedicure. Masks were required, but half of the tenets refused to wear them (not on the business, but if it is required, it should be mandated for ALL customers, not just the Karens that don't want to wear one). They had me wait in the chair for another 30 minutes, and then the worst manicure of my life happened. I couldn't believe she didn't put one cuticle trimmer nor clippers to my fingernails. Just a sad brush of the nails and done. I went here with the promise of a good manicure from good reviews and from previous clients, but I wouldn't even have my dog get his nails cut here. I left with a $55 bill and nothing but cuticles, hangnails, and not even one clipper being put to my nails. HIGHLY disappointed. Do NOT GO HERE. read more

I got the dipping powder(SNS) on my nails. Michelle was the nail tech. She rushed through the process. Kept looking on her phone watching her dogs sleep. In a couple of days, one nail starting peeling from the top coat. I went in and she fixed it but blamed me, that I didn't hold my hand right, when it was drying. Couple of days later, several more started peeling. I went back in, she wasn't there, and no one would fix my nails. Tony said Michelle would have to do it, and he could make me an appointment for 2 days later. I was going out of town, so I left. I have had my nails done for years, and have never had this problem before. I only used them, because they were open on Sunday. I would never go back to this place! Price was good, but the technician did not do the best job of keeping the shellac on my nail. I've been pulling the corners of my fingers off the corners of my nail bed and there's a giant glob of gel on one pinky. read more

Disappointing!!!! They cut my toe making it bleed, didn't do one nail, left polish on skin. I tried to tell them but they acted like they didn't understand. Definitely a WASTE of my time and money. I don't understand why people can't do the job they are paid to do! I wish I could add a picture to show just how awful they did. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND I will NEVER RETURN and I don't recommend ‼ I recently took. My nails off and all I wanted was a gel polish on my feet and hands. The person that did my feet was actually good and paid attention to deal but she was a needle in a hay stack! The problem began with my hands. The technician that I got did not really speak English or understand so she never asked me questions and just did what she wanted and polished my nails and also my SKIN. I was trying to explain to this lady that I needed her to clean up around my nails and get the polish off my skin but she did really speak or understand ENGLISH! Thank manager or do went can over and attempted to assist, that was also a disaster. She can over and looked at my nails and said with a ugly look "what's wrong " I proceeded to explain but she pretended to not see it. I got so frustrated and told them to take off the Gel polish in my hands and I was only paying for told toes and I LEFT. Later that day I meet 3 people that went there and they said that they do not like that place cause then went in and requested a certain shape and designed and WALKED out with something completely different. My mother and I accidentally went to Deluxe Nails today. We are from out of town and had reservations at a different salon and didn't realize we were in the wrong place until after our pedicures had begun. Side note * seriously Valdosta but why 10 different nail salons in a half mile radius?? I am Sinaloa we made the error! The staff at Deluxe nails and spa is very welcoming towards customers. Paris in particular is as sweet as she can be and she does a FANTASTIC job with nails! I don't go to anyone else (if I can help it). I have never been unsatisfied with my nails after leaving. I highly recommend going to Deluxe nails! They are so flexible with their hours and will make sure you don't walk away with something you don't love. read more

My very first experience at Deluxe Nails Spa was amazing. I was eager to go back. I received a regular pedicure and Dip Powder/SNS on my real nails. My nails were exactly how I prefer them NATURAL and very square. The polish wasn't too thick like I experienced at other salons. HOWEVER today when I went I was there for over 3 hours and received service from someone who was very INEXPERIENCED when it comes to SNS/dip powder. My nails are EXTREMELY Bucky and she topped it with gel which I believe defeats the entire purpose of me getting SNS! The first time I did not have to put my hands under the LED light like with gel but this time I did. She ruined my nails TWICE and had to keep drilling them over and over again. Any person with common sense would have thought I should NOT have to pay for this HORRIBLE service however I did pay. I left almost in tears Bc I am just a girl who LOVES her nails and feel as if I am paying I should get what I WANT. However Deluxe Nails DID NOT care about my satisfaction. I am highly disappointed considering I thought that I had found my new nail salon home (i am a VSU student and am not use to getting my nails done here). I would not recommend them to anyone simply because they had me there ALL day (seems like) and did not care if I was satisfied. I would also add they took $5 off only Bc I complained about them putting gel on top of my SNS! I believe a nail salon should be a girls time away from stress (school, work, and internship) BUT deluxe nails ONLY ADDED TO MY STRESS TODAY! Although there are some great and qualified workers there (the ones who served me on my first day!!), the BOSS did not care to intervene to satisfy his PAYING customer.
