    Leaking one-way value went unfixed

    It's pretty obvious that their lone technician, Anthony, is overworked, lazy, and desperately trying to get someone to notice, namely the company's management and/or owner. After calling him out to quote our leaks, he upsold us on a new filter housing due to the age of the gasket and the prior filter housing. The problem is: he never fixed the leaks, he replaced the filter but left the nut loose, didn't test the system, and intentionally changed the valve settings to run it with minimum pressure to hide the leaks. According to our cameras, he was only here for 26 minutes, and he walked back and forth to his truck at least 4 times. That's not time enough to replace the check valve, replace the flush valve, and replace the entire filter housing. That evening, I turned the three-way valve to the pressure-side vacuum, the PSI spiked to 20, and the whole thing started leaking. Now, we have a geyser-like leak coming out of the one-way valve, which was part of our originally quoted fix. The filter housing nut was left loose, which can cause decapitation (see my video and link below). The guy doesn't seem to care what harm he is causing to people or even if things work properly. Ironically, this is making him work harder, since he'll get called back out. There will be lawsuits in the future if he's the one doing fixes. This guy knows what he's doing, so I'm not sure if he's intentionally trying to hurt people, but one could argue neglect or even intent.

    BUYER BEWARE we purchased a Pentair gas heater from the Demaray store in Vacaville approximately four years ago. We have only used the heater, at best 10 times we try to start it up a few days ago and it wasn't working. We spent over $4,200 plus $725.28 for labor for this unit, I called the Vacaville location and was told to go ahead and call a separate number that handles their install which is affiliated with the Vacaville store. I called and spoke to TAMMY. I told her what was going on with the unit and asked her if she could please send someone out to look at the unit. She told me that she would not be able to look at my information as their systems have been changed in 2023. She asked me if I had a receipt, I said I will find it easily because I wrote a check for the amount. I asked her if there is a warranty still with this unit and she had no information and then she proceeded to ask somebody that she was standing next to if I had a warranty and that person told her no, that it probably expired two years ago. She kept insisting that I call Pentair and go through them to see if there's anything that they could do. I asked her as a courtesy because I am a customer of the Vacaville store with not just the heating unit, but also chemicals and supplies if she could send somebody out to just look to see if maybe something came loose. She said she couldn't do that she would have to charge $130 to just come out and check, not service, just check to see if it's still connected. i told her that I don't want a service, just for someone to see if it's connected, that's all she said that it's $130. She kept referring me to call Pentair to get it settled. Even though I bout the unit and had it installed by them. I asked her if she could please just do a one time courtesy to come out and just check it before I start calling Pentair. She got extremely loud with me and rude and told me that there was nothing she can do. She just works there and I told her that at that point I didn't want any more of their help (which they weren't going to do anything anyway) and then she proceeded to call me a piece of shit. I have never called for any help from them in the four years that we have had this unit. She was completely unreasonable and unwilling to help at all. Demaray is very good at taking your money but not at helping their longtime customers. Their customer service is absolutely the worst. I thought I was doing a good thing by keeping the business local, but I learned my lesson. I will never go there for any chemicals anymore or parts or anything else, Tammy is absolutely horrible.

    I have been using Demaray Pool Supply for 15 years, and today will be my last.I came in with my filter information and had to walk him through getting the right O ring.I mentioned that Amazon said it was a twenty one inch and he stated "don't mention Amazon or I will have to raise the price" I was in shock! I always use local businesses when I can and don't mind spending more for service., and I was going to buy 300.00 dollars worth of filters , but the price was 150.00 more than Amazon and I would have gladly paid 50.00 more to shop locally and now I think he raised the price because I mentioned Amazon. I am in retail and customers always negotiate and it's part of business and most people will pay more for good customer service and a competitive price. I got neither at this store today.Oh and no refunds or exchanges

I started using Aqua Clear services when Our pool was completed from premier pool. Aqua did our start up and was familiar with the equipment. Our pool was completed in Nov 2020. Starting in February 2021 I began to question if my pool was even being serviced because the bottom was so dirty. I contacted Brad and he became very offended that I questioned him and said I should find someone else. I thought we got pass that hiccup. I came home one day to a white powered substance all over my Cabo shelf and was clueless to what it was, I was called Brad and he came by and just sweep the substance into the pool and said he had shocked the pool and the powered must've just shot through. This happening should've made Brad aware that there was a problem. On another occasion, I just so happen to be at home when he came to service my pool and I went out to speak to him about the bottom of the pool being completely cover in dirt, he looked and said "yeah it shouldn't look like that". I then asked him about the sweeper that I was using and he said it wasn't that good and offered to sell me a new sweeper for $1500.00. At that point I call premier and let them know what was going on and they sent a Jandy rep out to check my equipment. Low and behold my pool sweep filter was completely clog. The Jandy rep question who was cleaning my pool and said it should be cleaned weekly and the pool service company should be aware. At this point I knew it was time to change companies. I had a new company come out and they noticed that my pool filter hadn't been cleaned and in fact we're cracked, hence another reason why my pool wouldn't get and stay cleaned. Not sure where we went wrong but I felt completely taken advantage of for paying for a service that I wasn't being provided

The young man working the shop was fantastic. I forget his name. I noticed his pleasant and helpful demeanor. Great attitude. As customers asked him the more technical pool questions( the stuff you would ask a pool tech), he advised that he was still learning and did not know the answer. He told them that he can call them after he asks the manager. He seemed to readily provide recommendations and was knowledgeable about inventory. He advised us that the product we were looking for was not sold in the store but is available online. Great customer service! The shop was clean. It was stocked with the essential pool cleaning supplies. Plus it had a bunch of pool toys and floats.

I was told that they are backed up and it would be 3 to 4 weeks before they could get to it. Reluctantly, I said okay. After 4 weeks I called to check on the status. I was told that they were running behind but call back in a couple of days. I called back after not hearing anything at the 5 week mark. Michael answered and said I was 4th in line and they should get to it in one or two days. After not hearing anything for another week, I called back and Michael answered again. He said I was 3rd in line. What?! You've looked at one pool sweep in a week? He said we look at them by model type. That's after he told me last week that they look at them in the order they come in. I then contacted corporate and was told a district manager would contact me in one or two business days. After another week of not hearing anything, I sent an email to corporate expressing my displeasure. I then got a call from Michael and he said he was looking at my pool sweep and he couldn't see anything visibly wrong with it. He said he could probably start replacing parts but it would probably be better to buy a new one for $1200. It was obvious that he wanted nothing to do with servicing my pool sweep after over 7 weeks! I told him I would come and pick it up. I then called Demaray Pool Supply and talked to a very nice, and knowledgeable guy named Hollis. He said he thought he knew what my pool sweep needed and they could look at it immediately. I picked up the sweep from Leslie's and took it straight to Demaray. Hollis said he would look at it and call me with an estimate. Before I could get home he called and said it needed a tune up kit and it would be $400 and it should be ready by tomorrow. I said okay and an hour and a half later he called and said it was ready! Seven and a half weeks at Leslie's with nothing done and less than 2 hours at Demaray and I have a pool sweep that works like new! My pool is sparkling clean again. I have been a customer of Leslie's since they opened here and needless to say, I will never spend another dime there or on their website.

Greg called me shortly after and said he would have time on Sunday which was the next day. He showed up and took a look at my pump and trouble shot and figured out there was a lizard in my pump. From the beginning he didn't seem convinced that something was wrong with my pump. He even tuned up and tested and got my pool to where it needed to be chemical wise. The thing that really stood out to me about Greg is how I genuinely felt like he was trying to help or look out for me not sell me something. That's rare now a days. This guy is one of the good ones. "A Bit Moe" responded to the Yelp posting within a30-40 minutes...on NY Eve! And scheduled time to come out the next morning - ON NY Day! Mr. Moe not only gave us a thumbs up re: integrity of the pools liner; he removed all the leaves debris and checked the waters chemistry levels. He lived up to the company's name, rendering service above and beyond by doing "A Bit Moe". Great service, Great price! I look forward to working with him again in the future.
