In a state of total panic, I went straight to Baptist Health ER, where they initiated full cardiac protocols, including blood work, x-rays, and monitoring. After a terrifying 45-minute wait, the ER physician reviewed the paperwork brought from Dr. Stein's office and discovered a glaring error: the second page of the report explicitly stated that the EKG leads had been placed on the wrong side of my body. It was a false positive caused entirely by staff incompetence. When I called the practice to report this, the NP was incredibly dismissive, stating, "My bad, I don't read those interpretation notes." I spoke with the Office Manager, who promised that she and Dr. Stein would follow up with me. It has now been two weeks. I have received zero follow-up, no apology, and they haven't even called to give me my routine blood work results. As a cancer survivor, regular blood monitoring is critical to my ongoing health. To completely ignore a patient after a traumatizing, costly, and entirely avoidable ER scare is unacceptable. Please be warned and protect your health--avoid this practice.

We parked, immediately was greeted by front desk, and the vet tech where they took Sofi back took her vitals and while that was happening the Vet Dr Rob Benbow came out explained what he thought could be going on and gave us options for treatment and reassured that Sofi looks ok and was likely just having nausea and a reaction to something she ate. He was incredibly personable, answered all my questions and wrote down the dosage and medications he thought would work. The ER is super clean, quiet (I'm sure it's not always like this when it's busy) and efficient. Very satisfied with this ER.

Avoid LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital - Severe Negligence and Substandard Care…read more I am writing this review to warn other pet owners after a devastating experience at LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital in Boca Raton. The severe oversight, neglect, and substandard medical care our cat, Cody, received here resulted in critical, life-threatening complications, extreme emotional distress, and substantial financial damage. Key issues during Cody's stay: Failure to Diagnose & Follow Protocol: Cody was brought in with respiratory distress. The veterinary team missed clear indicators of pneumonia on initial X-rays and failed to follow the radiologist's explicit instructions to repeat X-rays within 12-24 hours. As a result, Cody suffered from untreated pneumonia for nine days, leading to a severe respiratory crisis. Unsanitary Conditions & Neglect:We repeatedly found Cody lying in his own feces and urine. Staff completely overlooked a live flea infestation, after we begged them the entire time to look for fleas and flea dirt. They continued to assure us he was clean and no fleas were found, that was until we looked for ourselves and found Cody covered in flea dirt and live fleas were found. Even after seeing the clear flea dirt, the doctor denied it was fleas, until a nurse confirmed and showed the doctor the live fleas found. Nutritional Neglect:Staff assured us Cody was eating the canned food we provided, yet all cans were returned to us untouched upon discharge. Cody suffered significant, unmonitored weight loss. Cody ultimately had to be transferred in critical condition to ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital for emergency ICU care, costing an additional $7,500+ in medical bills on top of what we paid LeadER. Cody had to have an NG tube placed because he had an ileus due to the undiagnosed and untreated pneumonia. The blatant misrepresentation of care, lack of basic hygiene, and failure to follow diagnostic directives caused immense physical suffering for Cody and traumatized our family. Please think twice before trusting LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital with your pet's life. Unfortunately we are still unsure if Cody will make it. We are currently waiting to hear back from the owner of LeadER about the blatant negligent care.
