Shortly after, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) informed me that I was actively having a myocardial infarction (a heart attack) and ordered me to rush to the ER. In a state of total panic, I went straight to Baptist Health ER, where they initiated full cardiac protocols, including blood work, x-rays, and monitoring. After a terrifying 45-minute wait, the ER physician reviewed the paperwork brought from Dr. Stein's office and discovered a glaring error: the second page of the report explicitly stated that the EKG leads had been placed on the wrong side of my body. It was a false positive caused entirely by staff incompetence. When I called the practice to report this, the NP was incredibly dismissive, stating, "My bad, I don't read those interpretation notes." I spoke with the Office Manager, who promised that she and Dr. Stein would follow up with me. It has now been two weeks. I have received zero follow-up, no apology, and they haven't even called to give me my routine blood work results. As a cancer survivor, regular blood monitoring is critical to my ongoing health. To completely ignore a patient after a traumatizing, costly, and entirely avoidable ER scare is unacceptable. Please be warned and protect your health--avoid this practice.

We (my husband, Sofi, my 1 month old baby and I) jumped in the car, googled the nearest Emergency Vet and found this place! We parked, immediately was greeted by front desk, and the vet tech where they took Sofi back took her vitals and while that was happening the Vet Dr Rob Benbow came out explained what he thought could be going on and gave us options for treatment and reassured that Sofi looks ok and was likely just having nausea and a reaction to something she ate. He was incredibly personable, answered all my questions and wrote down the dosage and medications he thought would work. The ER is super clean, quiet (I'm sure it's not always like this when it's busy) and efficient. Very satisfied with this ER.

Warning About My Experience at Leader Boca…read more I am sharing my experience because I believe pet owners deserve to know what happened to my 1.5-year-old cat while he was being treated at Leader Boca. I have photographs and videos documenting his condition and care, and I am prepared to provide them to appropriate parties, including the media and an Attorney since owner fails to reply to messages and emails. My cat spent approximately two weeks at Leader Boca in intensive care. During that time, I believe there were serious failures in his care and diagnosis despite vets stating daily he was improving and stable: * His X-rays were not properly interpreted, and pneumonia was not diagnosed or treated for wks in the ER and a repeat test was indicated on the report and it was never done. * Fleas were observed by 2 Drs and left untreated. * He was not adequately monitored for eating and developed a serious blockage after ingesting litter left untreated. * He was found covered in feces. * Most importantly, he was discharged and described as stable and recovering, despite his condition deteriorating significantly. That same night, we had to rush him to Access ER in Wellington because he could barely breathe and appeared critically ill. The emergency veterinary team reviewed his previous X-rays from Leader Boca and diagnosed pneumonia from the X-rays provided by Leader 2 wks prior. At this time, we still do not know whether our beloved cat will survive. We are devastated that we trusted this facility with our baby and are extremely concerned about the care he received. Negligent, uncaring, dishonest and abusive to the animals and focused only on financial gain. Attached are videos and pictures also being released to the media as well to spread the word. or manager do not return calls or emails so we will be pursuing legal action and contacting the media to be sure this never happens to another innocent animal and their family.
