In the middle of swim season - last, July - Westin 's negligence allowed a full algae bloom in my pool. Instant scummy pond water within a week. I could not have my grandkids over for a swim as planned because of this embarrassment. My pool had not been the same until the new pool service took over last week. The pictures of my pool filters combined with Westin's email records confirmed that he had not cleaned my filters IN OVER A YEAR at the time I terminated his services a week ago. I never solicited or hired Westin in the first place; My pool account had been sold to Westin from the previous pool guy. I couldn't terminate him fast enough after this last go round with algae in my pool and my repeated request over several weeks of Westin to do more than just pour a double portion of chlorine in the pool. Westin is young and inexperienced and has a negative attitude towards hard work.

But he would need to come back out and install and fix once the spa was empty. We emptied spa and then He then came back out and charged another $150 his hourly rate (which he will charge even for 20 minute visit) but realized that he had misdiagnosed the problem as there was nothing wrong with our heater and even though spa was empty he decided to just change out one plastic gasket which he assumed was now the culprit for the leak. So at this point we have spent $300 in his time and $6 in parts. I asked if he would honor his work and make sure that the leak was fixed and he said that the problem should be fixed. But when we filled up the spa the leak was still there. I requested that he come back out and please fix the leak but he said he would need another $150 to come out and diagnose it again. I said that was not fair as we had already paid for his time and expertise and diagnosis (a total of $306) but our hot tub was still leaking. He then said we were "lucky"that he didn't charge us for and install the heater ( the one he ordered when he misdiagnosed the leak) which would have been another $285. That's not lucky that is common decency. If you need your spa fixed by an honest and integral person unfortunately Dan Spa and Repair is NOT the person for you. He will not honor his word or his work. He will take your money and misdiagnose and potentially charge you for parts you don't need.

Bad situation, but Dwayne has been exceptionally thorough, incredible knowledge of Pentair and beyond systems, great communicator, amazingly responsive. i had to fire my old guy and really happy to have Dwayne guiding the process. i haven't encountered anybody with more skills and knowledge in this area. of course, i've checked him out and all reviews/ratings confirm my positive impressions. i highly recommend him!

I had to call them in last week for a leak that emptied the spa overnight! Today I had to call them back. We had left the side panels off & turned on a high velocity fan to dry out the "guts". However, there remained a small trickle of water oozing out. Due to the recent rain, and a major leak, it was extremely difficult to locate the minor leak. They arrived today on time, quickly got us water tight, and reinstalled the outer panels. And guess what? No charge! He said their work is guaranteed, so today's repair is covered from last week. They sent out one of the nicest young men to get us all set up and ready to go. Their service technician, Nick Lindner, was professional, efficient, personable, and a perfect representative of Action Spa Repair! He replaced the heater and checked out everything else to make sure that we were safe and ready to use the spa in a day or two, once it gets heated and the chemicals all get worked in.
