Then I left a spotted evening gown there and I was charged $24 to dry clean it. It came back with the same stain. I took the same dress to a dry cleaners in Plainview and it came back perfect. The chest was stuffed and it was hung beautifully. So in essence it cost me $50 to dry clean. Yesterday, I picked up a pair of pants that were burnt from a pressing after they were altered. I took them there in February to have them altered. I didn't try them on afterwards. (My bad) and it turned out they were never altered! So I returned last week. Now I spent 18.75x 2 for both visits for the same pants. The pants were $49 at Marshall's. I spent almost as much altering them and now they are burnt and not wearable. I'm done with these dry cleaners. Every time I go, they raise their prices.

I paid in cash and asked him for a receipt for the payment and he wouldn't give me a receipt. He said he had noted it down but couldn't provide me a receipt saying that I had paid in full. When I wrote 'Paid' on the receipt, he said, 'it doesn't mean anything'. I would not recommend this place to anyone. On another occasion, I think I accidentally first paid in cash and then paid using a debit card on another day for the same items. When I asked the guy at the register to check if I had paid twice for the same items, he said he could look at the recording from the camera to check if I had indeed paid in cash. When I asked to see the recording, he said he didn't have it. He further went onto argue with me and was extremely rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. If my review can effect a change in their customer service for the better, then I would consider it worth my time writing it. I don't think they understand customer service or how to conduct a business. Please don't waste your time and money on them.

I'm under 5 feet. I need things hemmed. My mom said, ever so encouragingly, that I looked like a cult member. So, I went to Jim Dandy, the place I had my prom dress altered, thinking they could do some sort of temporary iron-on fix. Instead, the tailor took the dress, and as I waited nearby (shush, I was a turtleneck, tights and a coat) hemmed it in 10 minutes, during a busy Saturday morning. I never would have expected such service, especially since I hadn't been going there since I moved out eight years ago. Only downside: some of the threads of the cotton fabric pulled a little, perhaps in the rush, which was a little disappointing. But really, beggars can't be choosers, especially when they look like cult members.

There Wednesday & Thursdays. $27.00. Receipt says after 5 pickup .1 week later 4:15 PM pants shortened but not pressed. 3 days later I get them while picking up my other dry cleaned items and find they're pressed incorrectly. I ask simply to repress them. Owner gives every argumentative reply including I'd have to pay for pressing. ( I'd not asked for them to be pressed they had done it inclusive) she tells me they are not dress pants so can't have a seem in middle. She'd asked me to come back Wednesday. Also says something was wrong with the pants when I brought them in. (NOT) She takes in back irons out current seam gives them back to me. I am now dismissed. Guess I have to press them myself. For alterations, as a person who came from a tailor family, I would say the zipper alterations is just ok, the zipper was supposed to be changed to a new zipper, but instead the seamstress that this dry cleaner has just sewn to cover the broken part and shortened the zipper up making it somewhat hard to wear, so I would say that's a cheat way to fix the zipper not the legit way. However, this time I would give still give 5 stars instead of 4 just because the zipper was just a minor thing and since everything else was fine. Please, do better alterations next time.
