We've been here a dozen or more times and we love it. The service is always excellent, the food is great, and the cocktails are very well made. They have a tiny parking lot, but I've always managed to get the last open spot. (There is street parking.) Went to this place to get lunch to eat on the ferry! I walked in to place a to go order and was greeted right away. The inside is really cool and they have a patio with a great view. Loved the decor. I asked why one of the bowls wasn't gluten free and the host said she did not know. I asked her if she could ask the chef. She came back a a few min later and said it must be a misprint. So def ask! I wanted to order online so I could just come pick it up, but half the menu isn't available for online ordering for some reason. I called several times to place an order and nobody answered. While I was there, I heard the phone ring and nobody answered it even though people were available at the host stand. Odd. I waited inside the restaurant, and after about 20 min, the host made eye contact with me and went "oh shit I forgot about your food" as if I hadn't been sitting 5 feet away from her. Weird again. She brought it right out. The food was average. It tasted like stuff I could make at home. Not very flavorful or interesting and was moderately expensive for a lunch. read more

My wife and I dined in on a Saturday night, fortunately we were seated quickly! We sat in the outdoor patio which is covered by a tarp with see through plastic windows so you can still see the beautiful view of the ferry dock and the sound. Food was delicious, especially the Fettuccine Alfredo. I initially ordered the pasta with chicken but it was first served to us without it. We told the server about it and they quickly served us up another one with chicken this time. This is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. First time here on Sunday night. Me and my boyfriend wanted to get some apps and watch the sunset. The gentlemen host, tall with blonde hair was super nice and friendly as soon as we walked in, at the time there were no seats outside so we waited in the bar- he kept looking outside for open seats and came and got us as soon as one opened. The downfall was when we got to the seats outside. Our waitress, short with blondeish hair wasn't very friendly. Before we even got seated I saw her behind the bar eating raspberries in a box and then watched her put it back in the mini fridge behind the bar- so she was eating the garnishes for drinks, nice to do that infront of customers I just kinda icked out considering a got a drink with a raspberry in it. We had to flag her down for water, and then to order a second drink. We got the oysters/crab dip/and the flatbread. All were good! The chips that came with the crab dip tasted a little stale but the dip was amazing. We didn't even see our waitress the rest of the night after ordering our food, not once did she come back to ask how our food was or how we were doing. We ordered the cookie with ice cream and the ice cream was completely melted, it was like soup on top of the cookie it was obvious it was sitting in the window for too long. The guy whom brought it out said they would make another which I appreciated, and the second one was better! Overall we liked the food, and it was a beautiful view, but very disappointed with the service we received. Repeat customer! LOVE Demetris, specifically the patio! Whether it's a random sunny Tuesday, date night, birthday or other special event Demetris is always a win. My favorite order is their beet salad, crab cakes (their aïoli sauce is bomb!) and steak bites. I've tried their bacon wrapped shrimp and it's good too! We've spent lots of Birthdays, a bachelorette, lunch with family and many dinners with the girls. Can't beat a summer night on their patio, ocean views, great ambience and sometimes you can catch a view of a train rushing past (kind of a cool experience if you haven't seen that before) and delicious food. Their drinks are also great! The servers and friendly and accommodating. There was a drink they had (was removed from the menu in between my visits) but I was able to kind of explain it to the server and they ended up still having the ingredients so they made it for me, very kind!) 10/10 recommend! read more

What a cute place at an amazing location right by the water next to the ferry. Gorgeous! Not only do they have lots of space inside but there is also a large outdoor patio. I met here with my coworkers for lunch on a Sunday. Yes it was busy there. And the waitress was stressed and absolutely NOT friendly at all. It took a long time to get any orders in and food out. It's hard to truly judge the food when service is that bad. I'll start with dessert since that was the highlight. Key lime pie: 4/5. Mexican donuts with caramel sauce: 3/5: caramel sauce ruined the donuts. They seemed freshly made, not too sweet and kinda chewy texture. They could be 5/5 with a good sauce! Chocolate chip and oatmeal cookie with ice cream: 5/5 worth it!! Chocolate mousse cake: 4/5 Creme brûlée: 4/5 very smooth texture, sugar was too burnt but nice and thin. Food: Brie and apples: 2/5 too sweet, wish there was more Brie than apples. Pear Gorgonzola prosciutto flatbread: 4/5. Very good except the Canned pears?? Brunch Paella: 4/5: lots of meat, rice is crispy which I like. Served with 4 sunny side up eggs. $60 though?? However it is big enough for 2-4 people depending on your portion size. Firecracker shrimp: 5/5 this was my favorite! Calamari: 5/5 very good, not greasy. Served with a delicious tangy cilantro lime sauce. Fries: 5/5. The flatbreads are really tasty and the same goes for their mocktail. The staff is polite and the service is quick. The interior is spacious and cozy (in the winter). They have an outdoor patio with the view of the beach. But you cannot see anything in the dark due to reflection. It may work in the summer time. Be cautious, train pass by it and there will be noise. read more

We came in here with a group of 14 fit a friends birthday and they were incredibly accommodating for our reservation in putting tables together, bringing the cake out to us and cutting it and serving it, and allowing us to pay for our meals separately. Came for dinner at 4:30 on Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find Happy Hour which featured great deals on drinks and a couple amazing food options. We got the Calamari Tenders which were a very unique cut; a little meaty but good. The spicy aioli dip served with them was amazing! The Fish & Chips was awesome! It was a tempura batter style but was a very thin layer which allowed for a great level of crispness without any greasiness. It was also well seasoned and served with a delicious tartar. The Crispy Brussels were fantastic! The Grilled Salmon tacos which was a huge portion with great accompaniments. The mango provided delectable sweetness complimented by a spicy aioli, red onions, and cilantro. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is cute and cozy and featured really cool live moss mermaids at the entrance! The cloth napkin was a nice touch - something that's become anachronistic, but makes a difference. We went there on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. We'er a family of six so we were expecting some wait. Surprisingly they were able to seat us quick five minutes after we went in. We ordered a bunch of different things like tuscan chicken (i think thats what its called), salmon, firecracker shrimp, bruschetta, Alfredo fettuccine, and some steak. We also ordered the seafood basket which went quick. I had the tuscan chicken and I cleaned the plate. Another thing we would recommend is either the salmon or the steak my brothers really enjoyed. I don't often take the time to write reviews! However I want to share my experience. My wife and I have been to Demetris twice, our first time was about two months ago. Walking in, we thought it was beautiful. We were seated at the bar top, the variety of alcohol was impressive, the food was very good! The one thing we both agreed on is that the female bartender was having a bad night as her attitude, service and over all presence reflected that. Although we go out to step away from our own worries, we do understand that bad nights happen! Last night, on Valentine's day, we last minute decided to go to dinner, thought we would give Demetris another try. Again, walking in was a wonderful experience! The host that greeted us was a lovely young lady, the older woman that walked us to our table was so kind and engaging. We had no trouble getting in with no reservation, the food was great! However, once we were seated and our waitress came over, we realized it was the same girl that we had last time, blonde with an accent. Wow, we must've caught her on another bad night! She's very rude, cut my wife off as she was trying to speak, horrible attitude. Very kind gentlemen brought our food, our waitress took her time checking in with us, our water sat empty through most the meal. I think Demetris has great potential!! We may be back, but we will not be sitting in bar! read more

The Oyster Shooters were great which comes in a pair of oyster shots served with house-made cocktail sauce. We got 3 flatbreads and a side of the spicy Ahi Poke Nachos. The flatbreads are easily shared but get your own if you are hungry and don't want to share but sharing is the best way here! The Raw Ahi Tuna marinated in sweet soy ginger sauce, topped with sriracha aioli, avocado, and more, served over crispy tortilla chips. The flatbreads have a home-made dough baked in their woodstone oven. Various options to choose from and we liked them all. Every dish that walked by our table looked so inviting so I will be back to try more. The service was exceptional as well. read more

I went in and sat at the bar for a quick lunch. the restaurant was about half full, with plenty of seats at the bar. Bartender took an order of the couple who sat down next to me, then walked away without acknowledging my existence. So I returned to the hostess and asked to place an order to go. The whole vibe from the staff felt unwelcome. When one hostess left to place my to-go order the other hostess apologized, which is why I give 2 stars to an otherwise disappointing experience. The so-called 'flatbread' was ok. It was more like a $25 personal-size west coast pizza, on a thick and gooey undercooked bread -- not crust, not flakey at all -- definitely not a flatbread. I understand the premium pricing, being next to the ferry terminal, but with such poor service, and food that was just meh, I see no reason to ever visit this restaurant again. read more

We all ordered gyros. 2 were lamb. The meat had no seasoning. It tasted like it was boiled in plan water. The server never brought the extra sauce until I hailed the bartender. He also never came back to allow us to pay. We walked up to the front and waited and waited as all staff ignored us. Randomly came here with some friends. Let me start with the hostess. VERY RUDE. Not a good start. Seemed very annoyed with us. Oh well. Once we got seated it was okay. Our server wasn't as bad but wasn't very happy serving us. Very whatever with us. Anyways. The food was Mid. The ambiance was nice. The decor was cute.
