She even gave me a little bottle of shampoo for it. I first went here back in mid-late 2022, and her service and friendliness haven't changed. She's really good at short, edgy cuts, and stylists who can do that are kind of hard to come by. I drove 45 minutes to get here because there were none in my town! That drive was worth it, though. She's been a stylist at this location for about 7 years. She was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute and serviced me quickly. She was so sweet, professional and did an excellent job with my style that included a shampoo, condition, blow out, trim, braid down and clip in extensions and curl. The style came out better than I imaged and she worked fast! I was out in about 90 minutes. The salon is clean and cozy with a country home feel. At the appointment, I enjoyed the playful banter between stylists, and a friendly atmosphere all around. Jonathan boasted about how wonderful all the other stylists are there. Meanwhile, he was gracefully applying a bleached balayage to my hair. He moved quickly, and seemingly effortlessly. After washing and toning, he gave me a clean cut lob. I'll be honest, I didn't want to cut off so much of my length, but I did need it...and I'm loving it! He did exactly what I requested, and perfected it! The price was VERY AFFORDABLE!!!! I've been to a lot of Korean salons in K-towns, and they still messed it up and charged me ridiculously. So I did some reseaching and found Gordan at the mad hatter salon in Hinesville, GA! When I came in for my appointment, Gordan, my stylist knew exactly what to do. He asked me what are my highest and the lowest expectations, and explained the possibilities of how the result might turn out realistically. After 6 and a half hours of long process, he magically turned my brassy dry looking hair into healthy vibrant magenta & purple hair without damaging it. I couldn't believe it's my hair that is now so beautiful lol. (Oh, btw the mad hatter uses OLAPLEX for hair coloring to prevent damaging it too much, which is a huge plus!!!) Overall I'm more than happy with the result. Gordan made me feel comfortable (He didn't rush and took his time), he was fun and easy going. Most importantly he didn't charge me an arm or a leg. The hairstylist who did my hair was Debby thanks to my step mother's recommendation and I was nervous at first, my hairstylist at home is the only one I trust with my hair and she surprised me with some layers and I asked for bangs to frame my face. My dad got a trim up and layers as well and he said in all his years it was the best haircut he had ever gotten and not bad for $20 including a hair wash! My only complaint would be that it was a bit pricey for mine for $40, but maybe that's because she scrubbed pretty hard so it was a deep cleaning hair wash and blow dry. I would definitely recommend coming in and checking out this hip little hair salon!
