Looking for a new car is never an easy task.. After my car broke down on me and had me stranded, I set sail on the ever-lasting journey to purchase a new car.. As a single mother and foreign to the city of Columbus, I didn't know where to start and how this story would end.. As I relocated from Seattle, WA to Columbus, OH, I began to take a slight interest in cars. While traveling from the northwest, I began to notice Kia; a brand that was once considered to be no good, but now has quality cars, a great sound system (which is always a plus) and better yet, quality safety features. With those thoughts in mind I begun my car search.. I was limited for time and money, and heard all of the "crazy car salesman" stories, so I wasn't too thrilled nor excited about looking for a car... I like suv's, so I was interested in getting Kia Soul- something small, sleek, affordable and perfect for me as a single mother. And so I went...to a least 10 different dealerships dealing with multiple greasy/sleazy car salesmen in about a week in a half span looking for my perfect Kia. From internet searches to just driving past a rinky-dink car lots on a corner, I felt like I looked everywhere... As I was starting to slightly give up hope on a decent car that was new(er), affordable and something that I genuinely liked, a co-worker of mines referred me to Dennis Kia. That Saturday (a cold, wet and rainy Saturday) I called up a friend and asked her to take me to Dennis Kia.. And there I met a man name Tyrone Laney. This gentleman was the only salesman that seemed genuine and actually cared about the customers needs and wants, rather than that extra incentive from making a sale. As he walked me on the lot to view the cars that were in my price range I came across a dark champaign color 2013 Kia Forte 5 door hatchback... There she was sitting pretty, with low miles on her, great features, excellent price range.. I smiled and said "I want to test drive that car". Although this was not a Kia Soul, it was a Kia, and a cute car that had all the right "blessings" and had my heart at first glance. As I test drove the Kia Forte, I feel in love with the car.. But most importantly I feel in love with the customer service that I received from Tyrone.. He said a few light hearted jokes during the test drive that made him seem human (unlike any other car salesman that I encountered), he was extremely knowledgeable about the car, and welcomed any opposing statements that both I and my friend had about the car. Tyrone was friendly, but better yet he was like-able and relate-able (the top 2 qualities of a GREAT sales person). So of course after the financial round-abouts, and many other tactics.. I bought the car!! I was extremely satisfied with my purchase and didn't actually realize the perks of this decision until yesterday... As I was on a lunch break from work at a restaurant, when a waiter comes to my table and asks if anyone was the owner of a Kia forte...I told him that was my car and he informed me that my car was hit in the parking lot (YES MY BRAND NEW CAR!!!) As I handled the situation accordingly (calling insurance companies, police, etc), I was determined to get my car fixed (it had a huge and noticeable dent above the passenger side tire) back to it's natural state... So I went back to the place I bought the car.. Dennis Kia. When I walked into the dealership, there sat the ever so popular Tyrone (and to my surprise with no customers!!) I informed him of what happened and in disbelief he walked out to take a look at the car. After cracking a few more jokes, he once again came to the rescue. He informed me of the body shop that was on site proceeded to take me to a body shop specialist. As I waited for the estimate of the dent, Tyrone mentioned my free oil change (courtesy of Dennis Kia) and scheduled my appointment. So there I sat at the dealership with my car getting a free oil change, while I scheduled my appointment to get my car fixed. AND to make it all better.. The rental car company (that I would need while my car is in the shop) also inside of Dennis Kia. Every employee that I saw yesterday was so friendly, compassionate, and was eager to assist me. As a company, this is a great way to not only gain customer retention, but customer loyalty as well... Dennis Kia is defiantly a 1-stop-shop! I'll never buy a car from anywhere other than Dennis Kia! Ive had so many bad experiences in the past and I've got to say that these guys have restored my faith in buying from a dealership. Dennis reached out to me letting me know they were interested in a used car I recently purchased and was completely ripped off on by another dealership. My interest rate was so high and I had so much negative equity in my car that I thought I was never going to get out of this car and definitely did not believe that a dealership would be able to help me out of my situation. Not only was Dennis able to help me out of my loan, but they also were able to get me into a brand new Kia Optima with a 100,000 mile power train warranty and a 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for almost the same payments I was paying on my used as-is car and half the interest rate. Even though not many banks were open yesterday due to the holiday they worked with us and worked hard for us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were actually able to find us a better rate than the car we got 2 months ago. Adriana and everyone at Dennis Kia are amazing people and work hard to get you everything that you want and make sure you are completely satisfied with everything they are doing. When i went to Dennis Tyrone Laney was my salesman and he was awesome i dont think i would have made my purchase if it wasnt for him. He got to no my likes and dislikes, he took the time out to get to no me personally, He made sure he found everything i asked for. My wife needed a car because her car was totaled. She originally wanted to get a Honda Accord. We also wanted to look at the Kia Optima as we didn't have much familiarity with them. When we arrived at the dealership we were greeted very warmly in a way that didn't feel like we going to be in for a high pressure situation. The sales person was very patient with my wife who can be extremely frustrating with being indecisive. We ended up going with the Optima because it gave us so much more value over the Honda Accord; and for less $! I love Dennis Kia. I've never had anything but great customer service. They are upfront and honest about repairs. They told me about a special discount that was going on which I should have received in the mail from Kia, I didn't receive the discount through the mail, so they called Kia on my behalf to inquire about it. I thought that may have been just a fluke kinda thing -- like, just a random staff having a great day and deciding to pay it forward. But, the next time I took my car in, they were just as friendly, competent and helpful. It's rare to get such great customer service these days and that's why I keep coming back to Kia. Awesome sales experience! Tyrone Laney and the rest of the sales team made the purchase of our "new to us" 2012 Honda Crosstour by far the BEST car purchase we have ever made! They were friendly, quick, and accommodating with any and all of our questions and needs! A lot of our "dealing" was done over the phone so we did not have to spend all day at the dealership. When we arrived, which was a 1.5 hour drive for us, all we had to do was test drive the vehicle to make sure it was everything they said,... and it was.
