I had a pretty good buying experience several months ago when we came in on the recommendation of my wife. I found a 2016 Durango R/T at their location in Marysville and called to see if they could have it sent over. Sure enough, they said they would have it brought over the next day for me to look at. The next day, I was informed the salesperson I was originally slated to work with had called off, but another one took up the reigns and went and got the car for me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see it like it was scheduled. The car test drove well and I informed the salesman I'd like to work out a deal. Initially the financing came out nowhere close to what I had expected, but they worked hard to bring it down quite a bit. I think I could've gotten a little more on my trade, but they got the monthly payment down to about the absolute max I was willing to spend so it worked out. All the people there are super, super friendly and I really felt no pressure and instead felt they worked hard to get me in a vehicle I really wanted. I'll certainly come back here for future business and strongly recommend them to anyone in the area. We had a run-in with three deer coming home from our Daughter's house on Christmas day. Our 2015 Ford Edge had a lot of damage to both driver side doors and front quarter panel. Coughlin worked with our Insurance Company to repair our vehicle. Because of estimate modification due to damage not seen on the original evaluation, the process took several weeks. When we got the car back it was in near perfect condition. I mean it looks amazing, inside and out. There was a problem with error codes coming up after we got it back but they quickly addressed the problem, which we found out was a loose wire inside the door panel. Drive train vibration and noise in my 2021 C8 corvette. The dealership took 5 months to get a GM rep to look at the car and decide what to do about the problem. The final decision was that it was within specs. REALLY ! A 90 thousand dollar car in which vibrations and noise is normal. Not so. Other C8r around the country have had the same problem and have been rectified with a transmission change. No help from Coughlin though. read more

I brought my truck there because I have had great experiences with the Ford dealer but this is NOT the ford dealer. The quality of the work and service is unbelievably low. You can't get anybody to call you back, you can't get updates and there is rarely anybody there to help you so you have to stand in their lobby forever. I took my 2020 Explorer Platinum there to have some front end repair done and the windshield replaced. Pretty minor stuff. It only took 2 weeks but now i have a new car where the paint on the hood and bumper cover do not match. Big sweaty, bondo covered arm prints on the dashboard from where they tried to reinstall the dash cam, Big bondo dust foot prints on the floor mats, and the passenger side windshield pillar that does not fit right and is held up with a screw. It looks like a child reinstalled the dash cam. There is a fresh ding/scrape that looks like something in the shop fell on the car. The workmanship in General is bad. I would recommend avoiding them for any type of collision repair; the Quality issues appear to be a cultural thing not just a series of small mistakes. read more

My check engine light came on and I made an appointment online. Website said service department opened at 7 so that is what I selected for my appointment. I showed up for the appointment and Nick Cook service production manager asked what I needed. I told him I made an appointment online 2 days prior because the check engine light was on and I was due for a 60000 mile service. He asked what time was my appointment for I told him 7andhe informed me "We don't make appointments for 7" I told him I had made the appointment online and he said it's not on here are you sure you made it for here and I let him know this has been the only dealership I have been to since moving to the area. He asked if I was dropping off or waiting. I said I'm waiting I have no other transportation. He responded that I was going to have a long wait because there were 20 vehicles in front of me. A lady came through and he told her to do my paperwork so she did. He asked if I got a response to my appointment. I told him no but I had received an email I was due for service which is where I made the appointment from. Apparently I ruined his day because he was very snippy. After the nice lady finished my paperwork she took me to the waiting area. As I sat there I got angry because I am a paying customer I shouldn't be disrespected like that so I stepped out to the garage and asked for his business card and the lady got it for me. I told her to just have them do the oil change and I would leave. She came back to let me know that the oil change was done but the check engine light was still on would I like for her to reset it. I asked if it was going to cost me $100 to do it and she said no. She went to reset the light but came back and said she was told she couldn't reset it because it was illegal for her to do so. I said that's bull crap. I paid my bill and left. I will never go back and I don't recommend that anyone else does either unless you like to be treated badly. I have worked in retail most of my life and that is no way to treat a paying customer. read more

I would recommend anyone to this dealership. I test drove two vehicles and they would not sell the cars to me because the cars did not pass the tests that the dealership puts them through. I drove two more used vehicles and decided on one. We brought it home and the battery would not allow it to start the following day. In for a visit to the service department for tires and an alignment. I had called the week prior to get a quote on the tires I was looking for. The parts department was very helpful and provided me an out the door quote. I had them order the tires and made a service appointment for the next week. Upon arriving, I pulled in and was greeted by my service advisor Nikki. I have worked with Nikki in the past, so she knew what I was in for. She took my info, keys and showed me to the waiting room. They took my truck back promptly at 1 and returned it at a little after 3. I normally drop it off, but decided to wait on todays visit. Once my truck was finished they returned my keys and I paid my bill. I had 4 new tires installed, balanced and an alignment. Pretty quick service I thought. I am pretty picky when it comes to my vehicles; with that being said, My only complaint and reason for a 4 star review, was that when I got back in my vehicle, the steering wheel was greasy from the technicians hands. I thought they had placed a cover over it, but I must have been mistaken. No other spots anywhere in the cab. I got a wet wipe and wiped it right down with no other issues. Overall, I select this business to perform service on my vehicle, and I have not been disappointed. I would recommend this dealership, specifically their service department. read more

I went to Dennis Hyundai before and they sucked so bad and they were just overall terrible. Terry made me feel comfortable and he lit up when he found a possible solution to my problem with my current car to transition me into a better car that has a better warranty. He let me try this electric car and I really really liked it, it's small enough for me to drive around and do things with and get the mileage in the city which is better because that is what I mostly drive. He didn't pressure he didn't try to force a sale. He was totally chill. And just cool. I have had a lot of bad experiences with cars and buying them from dealerships and when I bought this car here I knew I was getting a good deal and I knew I was not getting something that would put me back in the same situation. It's a few day's now after buying this car and I still enjoy it. It's so smooth and fun and easy to drive. It's helping me drive a little bit better with all it's safety features my previous car didn't have. So that is a plus. I am super happy I have a really nice reliable car that will last. And I was so happy that dealership even gave me a better deal and everything more than what I was expecting. I cannot be more happier. Because I got really tired of the lame pushy sales men. it doesn't help I don't know much about cars. But he explained this one super well to me which was a plus. read more

My wife and I spent Easter weekend with my family. We are from the Cleveland area, while visiting the tire pressure monitoring system on my Chevy Silverado registered an error message. I visited the service center and the service clerk told me to pull my vehicle into the service bay. Within 5 minutes Ben the service technician reprogrammed my TPMS. When completed I asked the service clerk how much money I owed. To which she replied "nothing". This was truly the first time I visisted a service garage for a repair and was not charged. I received a factory recall notification for my car, made the appointment on 11.05.21 for a 11.19.2021 drop off date. Took the car in at 8:00 AM for my 8:15 AM appointment, I was told that the work would take 3 to 4 hours (my recall letter said 1). Scheduled an oil change as well. 5 1/2" hours later I called to check on the car and was told they had to order the part for the recall. #1. Why would you have not checked to see that you had the part on hand before I even dropped the car off - do they not stage parts/check stock ahead of time? #2. Where was the phone call to me letting me know that the part was not there and had to be ordered? Very disheartening. read more

This dealership is a joke! My husband paid cash for a 2018 Corvette. The staff was all to happy to make that sell. The sales person even threw in a battery tender (which we still haven't received). Once the car leaves the lot don't expect any type of customer service! Have called and left numerous voicemails with the sales person have yet to receive a call back. Called the dealership and ask for a manager and got the run around. Was told the manager was busy, left our name and number and still haven't received a call back. My son went out to Ohio from California for college. After he graduated we went to Coughlin to buy him a slightly used Cruz. We purchased the top of the line warranty because California is a long way from Ohio. I was convinced by both the salesman and finance officer this was a great option and fully refundable if he ever sold the car. Well, he decided to use his money to get a Masters at OSU so he sold his car about a year later. My son has been getting the run around from the dealership for the last several months. They didn't even work in it for an hour. 40 minutes I would like to update my review the manger Bruce called me back and did apologize for the error he said he appreciates my call he did make things better so on that note I want to thank him for his response. On 3/11/2015 I decided it was time to upgrade my vehicle. I have always loved my Chevy's, having owned a 1988 Caprice Classic, a 1998 Chevy Silverado, a 2002 Trailblazer, but there was no way in hell I was going to Taylor Chevrolet in Lancaster again so I decided to try Coughlin in Pataskala this time. My experience was great, all of it. I found the car I wanted online, their online inventory was current and up to date. When I arrived at the lot to work with Eric who I spoke to on the phone, my car was ready to test drive. It should be noted that I arrived with my brother, and between the two of us who just worked all day, we was a hot mess and I wouldn't have been surprised if someone thought we were there for handouts. We (my brother and I) test drove the 2011 Equinox, and I appreciated Eric not offering to come along. Test driving a car is a personal thing, best done in comfort, and with a sense of ownership already bestowed. After the test drive I decided to move forward but I wasn't able to complete the deal that night so I had to come back the next day to do the finances and trade-in. I wasn't looking forward to this part as my experience with it before had me sitting around for hours and dealing with bait-n-switch or discrepancies between what I was told by the dealer and what the finance department was telling me. If you read my review on Taylor, you will understand my concerns. This is where they shined. So on my way home from the test drive Eric called and said my approval went through, with a better rate than I hoped for. The next day I mentally prepared myself for all the negative things that the car buying process is known for but it turns out that it was all in vain. I arrived at the dealership at 4:45 and walked out with keys in hand, financing taken care of, insurance quoted, and a smile on my face at 5:40. Less than an hour. I am still geeking out over how streamlined the process was. I hope that moving forward I will not have to update with anything negative, which could happen because of after-its-off-the-lot-care, but right now, we are off on the right foot, and Coughlin in Pataskala gets my recommendation. read more

I brought my 06 truck in for misfire diagnosis and was told 2 days later that they couldn't figure it out, but they believed it to be burnt valves, and that a new engine and exhaust manifolds were recommended and quoted at $8600. I paid $140 for this "diagnostic" for them to tell me something I could've very well guessed on my own. My obdII scanner gave me better input than they did. I've since figured out the issue and do not plan on ever using their service nor sales dept in the future. read more

Probably the worst dealership experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The body shop repainted my 2015 RAM 5 times. Killed the batteries on it . Put a total of 450 miles on it . Lied to me numerous times about why it wasn't done correctly. I would never recommend sending any paint work to them. I had to file a case against Coughlin through Chrysler to get someone's attention. Pat Davis was brought in to remedy the situation. Would not call me back . He promised to take care of this problem. My truck came in for a simple bedside factory blemish repaint. To date we are over 8,150$ in expenses. I was urged to take it to another body shop to have it done . Pat Davis has not called me since in over 13 days . I am writing this so you know what kind of a business your dealing with. My truck was not in my possession for over 53 days . Thanks Coughlin. There was some confusion when I arrived to pickup the car, causing a delay of a couple hours, but they did correct that and honor the price we had agreed upon. Let me start by saying I never bought anything here. I bought my new 2015 Chevy Silverado at LASH and had the most AWFUL experience. I refused to go back. I heard a small tick in my engine and took it to Coughlin to get it looked at since I still had a warranty and I've heard good things. I told them my truck had a small tick and felt like it shook when it idled. They assured me the shake was normal but they kept it over night to look at it. The next morning at pick up, the tick was fixed (loose bolt in dash), they diagnosed my truck and tested the idle to which they found nothing wrong, they fixed my flat tire which I never even ASKED them to do!!! Annnnd they ordered me a recall part for my hitch that I never asked them to do!!!! They had PHENOMENAL customer service and did way more than I even brought it in for! AND they didn't charge me a dime :) completely recommend them to anyone! read more

I bought a truck a few weeks ago from coughlin of pataskala and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. While I was in the dealership my salesmen didn't even have the time to get me a printed off sheet of numbers so instead he decided it would be sufficient to use a blank piece of paper and a pen to just start writing numbers down without really explaining them, so once I got into finance I had the pleasure of dealing with Eli. 0/10 do not recommend.... I understand that the salesmen and finance guys make most of their money off of warranties and extra services they can sell. But I really didn't not expect to be lied to so that I would buy a warranty... I was told that with the warranty I would receive a lower interest rate on the truck, so I thought I could trust a "family friend" to not try and pull a quick one on me but I was very wrong... I was sold a $3000 warranty based on the sole factor that I would receive a lower interest rate (completely false) after I had already signed papers and left I called a few banks, 3 car salesmen and a finance manager at another dealership to ask about this warranty and interest rate. All of them seemed to be clueless when I told them I bought a warranty for a lower rate. I then proceeded to cancel the warranty but never got an explanation as to why they lied to me, more or less just avoiding the topic so I stopped compiling about it. My trucks great and the service department is A1 but the salesmen and finance guy I dealt with were horrible... this is the 5th vehicle my family has purchased through this dealer in the last few years and I can honestly say I will never ever be a returning customer and hopefully this helps save a few people from the headache I had to deal with. read more

The service adviser (Sam) promptly met me and reviewed my inspection concerns with me. He was polite and inspection took what I felt was the appropriate amount of time and also at the estimated time. Actually the cost was a bit less than the estimate, which is always a good thing. However the cost to replace the "On Star" faulty module was much more than I was willing to pay for an unnecessary luxury. I purchased a 2014 Corvette Stingray . Service was excellent at delivery. Due to the once in a lifetime delivery, all went well with removal of the special wrap and prep. Since so many Stingrays were waiting for their customer delivery, Rick managed to schedule specific times for personal service. All staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Since this was a trade deal, we had to speak with additional staff. All went well for the finalization of paperwork and signatures. Rick was with me the entire process going back to February and May when I pre ordered. He guided me through the final process. Though it was long and hectic, Rick always got back to me with answers and explanations. To me, Rick is the epitome of what a car salesman SHOULD be. He has been our Corvette salesman going back to the 90's. I guess I am what you call a "repeat customer". We entered your dealership 'on our guard' due to many past negative experiences with car dealerships. Having recently moved to Columbus we did not have a network to rely on and therefore had to take the 'luck of the draw' in terms of the sales person. Kevin was kind, professional and courteous at every turn. We explained early on that we had a child in college, and therefore had a strict budget. Kevin listened, and at one point opened the door for an up sell. Kevin then kindly allowed that he understood our situation, and did not press the point. Kevin was able to explain the process, and the potential downfalls at several points in the process. For instance, he outlined the credit impact of buying home, which taught us something. Kevin treated both Mary Jane and I as equals at the table demonstrating his overall attitude towards people. When it came time for the final delivery, Kevin was kind and polite. For example, he excused himself when reaching over us. We found him to be a clear communicator without being condescending or presumptuous in any way, which can be a difficult balance when you have a limited view of your customer's knowledge base. They treated my concerns as if they were their own concerns. I did not have an appt for my oil/servicing but they were able to get my car in and take care of me with no problem. My oil change took 2 hours and 15 minutes when it was supposed to be 45 minutes. The service worker was not helpful at all unless I specifically asked him for assistance (in finding the waiting area and finding where they had parked my vehicle). Also I was called the day after my service telling me I was due for an oil change and tire rotation. Clearly there is a communication problem between employees and/or computer systems. read more

I have to give this place 1 star? The short story, they had zero people there looking at vehicles, yet I waited for three hours to purchase a vehicle that had no gas in it. The financing guy even forgot to take my down payment. When I noticed, upon leaving in the car, that it was still on E and that they hadn't taken my down payment I turned around. You see, I knew the tank was empty from when I test drove it. I asked for a tank of gas, the salesman offered 1/2 a tank instead... pending one of those fake "boss talks." Yes, that's the kind of people that work here. They were happy to take my money, even though their stupidity was my inconvenience, but when I asked about the gas the salesman said his boss wouldn't allow it. Seriously, they couldn't spare $20. They'd rather sell a customer a vehicle with no gas in it. If this sounds like an ideal buying situation to you, then I'd recommend this place. Otherwise, you'll be treated better by pretty much anyone else in town. *Edit: The manager called me today. He apologized for the service (or lack thereof) and offered me a tank of gas.
