This is my favorite garden center. I go to many but always find what I need or want here. I've bought all my landscaping plants here. Customer service is very nice and knowledgable! In a couple more weeks it will be hoppin but they do have beautiful pansies out for flowers. read more

How great! We went in to get a plant for the new apartment. I got help from many employees, one helped me figure out what lighting I would need, then Mallory was so helpful and kind during check out. Because I don't have an outside spaced to repot my potted flowers, Maria helped me find a space to pot my plant which was a really big help and made my whole experience since it was so flexible for my situation. bought a tree $$$ an expensive tree, as soon as they unloaded I knew it was not the tree I purchase. long story short when I got frustrated over the entire situation the owner called me and said " guess what if you never come in my store again I'll give you the tree for free". over years of spending my dollars at this nursery I was incredulous. Needless to say, I've taken my business to Natorp. the tree ultimately died. read more

I've come away happy every time I've been to Denny's. I've gone from buying trees, flowers and bushes there, to sometimes just popping in to walk around their beautifully laid out garden just to lift my mood. It never disappoints. Whenever I've had questions, Woody has been so helpful and always made me feel like I was the only customer there. We have so many beautiful plants in our garden from Denny's however, the Dogwood that Woody convinced me would be the right thing for our front lawn is the most spectacular. Dannys had a large selection of plants and really helpful staff!! I'm not very knowledgeable on plants but the team answered my questions and taught me how to take care of my hibiscus bushes, and my hanging baskets appropriately! All of the flowers and trees were beautiful and in excellent condition and made walking around the facility enjoyable just to see them all! Highly recommend this facility! read more

I knew and like Denny McKeown.. his Midwest Gardening book was my go to! His kind words and inscription _ I still look at today. I regret to report I had the worst possible experience Imagine at the hands of "Woody". After purchasing a sizable gift certificate for my youngest daughters "inaugural Mothers Day" I had touched base to confirm a project _ I had already paid for! Woody was rude, dismissive and ultimately became unworkable. Imagine as a father _ having given your baby daughter her new home / first baby / first Mother's Day a gift of landscaping for their fixer-upper; only to turn around and realize Woody is having a bad year! read more

WE had a very bad experience at Blooming Garden. Customer service gets a F, also not handicap friendly.We asked question and recieved very short answer {as if she didn't have time for us}from the young lady working the front lot by the trees. So moving on my wife spoke to an older man, who claimed to be a Mckeown, he was very rude and talked down to my wife like she was a second class person. She explaned the service she recieved and he as much as said he didn't care and we was not the type of people that should shopping there {Not sure what type of person he meant}. All I can say is, if he is a McKeown, he will NEVER fill the shoes of Denny McKeown. So we're off to Bern's Garden Center where the folks are friendly and much better selection and lower prices. read more

I want to give a shout out for Shellie, who works at the Garden Center. She helped me last year to transition to the 3-step fertilizer program, taking my old drop spreader in trade for a new broadcast spreader and advising me on steps to take to improve my lawn. I followed her directions and my yard looks much better this year. I also had a problem with a tree that was drawing bees and flys, and sent Shellie an email about it. She promptly answered and advised me that it had Scales and what to do to fight it. Her customer service is a primary reason that I am returning today to buy this year's supply. Regrettably, she is not working today. I wanted to thank her in person. I will continue using Denny McKeown's for my lawn needs, even though they are 25 miles away. This place is awesome. All of the people that work here know their stuff and are SO helpful. We have brought in pictures of different parts of our yard and asked for suggestions based on sun/shade and just what they think would look good/thrive and they are always more than happy to help and offer suggestions. My husband has learned so much from their newsletter and just going there and asking questions about different things. Our yard has never looked better! read more

Denny McKeown's Bloomin Garden Centre - a variety of flowers - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I'm in the business of landscape design, so I visit a lot of nurseries. Bloomin' Garden Center is one that I find to be somewhat expensive, but I find the plants to be very well-cared for....which goes a long way - especially near the end of the season! The employees are indeed very helpful if you don't happen to be a plant expert - including new varieties. They have quite a nice variety, especially for the plants that McKeown features in his Book, "Gardening for Ohio"; they are featured because he believes in the plants and they are well suited for our planting zone. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff knows the plants well: they are well educated in each plant's sun/shade, situation, and water needs for the varieties they carry in stock. The staff is great about tying up larger trees or shrubs and loading them quickly and safely into your vehicle.....whatever they can do to reduce stress on the plants during transportation. The replacement policy is fantastic. There are times when a plant is located correctly, watered adequately, and planted "by the book, so to speak", but just happens NOT to thrive. They will replace the plants if they don't thrive: they might ask a few questions to see if there was an issue of too much/little water or sun or other factors....only to help you re-plant a replacement with better success the next time around. I highly recommend this nursery! read more
