She rejected my requests because she did not have enough time for me, even though she explicitly stated she would at the time the appointment was set, or because there are extra costs, even though I had already agreed to paying them. On top of this, the color noticeably faded after the first wash, which was 4 days after the service. I paid about $120. This includes the extra $25 for toner. What I received does not look like balayage to me. I have chunky highlights on top, and the remaining 3/4 looks about the same because she re-bleached my previous balayage but somehow it barely lifted. This could be due to the fact that my hair was dyed black years ago but she also didn't ask about previous work I had done. The placement is very sporadic and "crazy" as she put it. The original price for this according to Groupon was almost $200. She was also rude and spent time trying to debate about everything I asked for instead of using that time to make sure I was getting my desired look. She reiterated that if I didn't like it I could come back at a later date. Why not just put in the effort to get it right the first time? I ended up using a semi permanent color for the time being until I have it redone. Only because yelp is asking, the vibes were wrong. I'm done with Groupon.

She cuts my hair with a straight razor and it blends to fit my head so much better than when it's done with electric clippers. Irma always washes my hair to wet it, then does her magic with the straight razor. It's always the perfect length and shape. She then blow dries it to finish it out. I really like her little salon area! It's small and it's really a nice atmosphere the way they have it furnished to make you feel comfortable. She shares this space with Shirley and they have been working together for years in the same salons before moving into the space at Salons by JC!
