Carl walked me through the considerations for the consultation. I went to Houston the night before and AH put me up in a nice hotel so I would be prepared the next day. I would agree with Patrick N...there is a cost estimate during consultation and then the second stage comes the day of the procedure. It's really early in the morning, and the additional discussion of increased costs was unexpected. On top of that, I was promised that I would not have to cut all my hair off, and the technician said that I needed to. After I freaked out a bit, the doctor assured me that this was not the case. But, my hair was cut some more and it was pretty crazy looking. That said, the costs, the recovery, and the entire experience was MORE than worth it. I love my hair and I am so glad that I did this. An amazing result. My girlfriend thought I was chasing a pipe dream. I was thinning and receding on top. She really loves how it has all filled in. She likes comparing before and after pictures.
