Black Friday 2025 has come and gone and my mother and I's tradition is going strong with another great post-shopping breakfast at Denny's! We arrived close to noon on Black Friday 2025 and were able to score a parking spot in front, right at the main entrance. We walked in and were quickly seated in a booth near the front of the restaurant. I'll admit, we were both a little cold sitting there but we were bundled up pretty well. The interior is similar to any other Denny's - nothing fancy, but fairly clean, quiet, and spacious, with some music playing over speakers but just loud enough to hear it. Our waitress was an incredibly pleasant woman, so nice! That's something I truly appreciate at this Denny's - the staff are very friendly and warm. Once we placed our orders, it was pretty quick turnaround, maybe 15 minutes or so and our breakfast was in front of us. I typically make it to Denny's on Black Friday, so I had to get my tried-and-true meal, the Grand Slamwich, which is two scrambled eggs, all-pork sausage, Applewood-smoked bacon, ham, American cheese between two slices of golden-grilled sourdough with a maple spice spread, served with a side of crispy hash browns. Looking up comfort in the dictionary, a picture of this sandwich should be there! haha Every bite is packed with flavor and the maple spice spread adds a little kick that's not overly spicy, more there to add another depth of flavor to the sandwich. The portion size is great with the side of hash browns to fuel me up for the rest of the day. Once again, Denny's comes through serving up a friendly experience and a great breakfast! First let me say the Alabama Hotel has always been our go to for good food. That being said... for 3 to 4 times now when me and my wife have went there for dinner the food has been just cool and not hot.. Last Friday when my wife and I went there for dinner my chicken and biscuits was cool. I had to send it back to the kitchen. and my wife's baked fish was cool, the baked potato would not even melt the little packet of butter when she put it on the potato. I think it's time for the manager of this restaurant stepped back in the kitchen and told the cook they need to pay attention to the temperature of the food they are sending out.. I don't wanna come out on a Friday night when I'm trying to relax and get cool food and then have to wait another half hour for my plate to come back.. I also noticed they don't seem to have the amount of customers that they usually do. I hope this place is not beginning to slip.. let's do better Alabama hotel. read more

This specific Denny's in Batavia is reliable, consistent, one of the few places with food at very late hours. The food is good, the portions are large, and the ingredients are always fresh. On this particular evening, my wife and I arrived around midnight, and there was one waitress servicing the entire restaurant And as hard as she tried, it was difficult for her to keep up with all the tables. Certainly not her fault. But service was painfully slow despite her best efforts. The people who work there are very nice, the building is kept clean, the restrooms, well stocked and sanitary. And Denny's always has an extensive menu. My wife had a hamburger with fries and I had one of the breakfast slams. Both were good. Like usual, we brought boxes home with us and nibbled on stuff the next day. read more

This was my favorite restaurant for many years (this specific location), but over the last year, it has really turned bad. The service took 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee, it took another 15 minutes to get a side salad (in which the tomato on the salad was rotten) and after a smooth 45 minutes we got our food and the Onion rings were absolutely cold (as in ot cooked)... the idea I would go (or even more, bring my family) to this restaurant again is far beyond belief... it is sad that such an honored establishment has fallen so low. read more

The highchairs for kids are sticky and has caked on dirt like they haven't been cleaned in months didn't even dare put my son in one . Dirt and wrappers under the booths . The bathrooms have poop splattered behind the toilet on the wall. The floors in the corners had dirt that looked like it's never cleaned up. Just overall they look like they don't clean the place . My daughter and I went to Dennys at 630 pm on the 23 rd of February. The waitress was terrible. we ordered our drinks and food at the sane time about 10 minutes after we arrived. She came back 45 minutes later and said she forgot what we wanted to drink A glass of water and a cup of decaf coffee. my daughter had to show her the picture of what she wanted to order ( eggs) ! there were a few other tables waiting for their orders also and we noticed that she was resting her butt on the table behind her again asking that table to show her pics on the menu. My friends and I went around 10pm and we were seated quickly. We were ordering our drinks (they were out of supplies to make some drinks) which took about 15 minutes... it seemed like there were only 2 servers and 2 chefs? So that might explain why it took a while but it's alright. We ordered our food (which they also ran out of supplies for like the boneless wings and burger buns). My 2 friends ordered the mac n brisket skillet, then everyone else ordered some type of sandwich or burger. We waited an entire hour, we never heard them cook the brisket until like 40 minutes in... and when all of the food came out, only 1 brisket was presented. We were just then informed-- let me mention, after a whole hour-- that they only had enough mac and cheese for 1 skillet, so this lady server (which was incredibly understanding) offered a dish on the house to make up for all the inconveniences. He wanted T-bone steak, but they were out so he got the sirloin steak, and we waited another thirty minutes for it to come out. By this time, everyone was already done eating and he was still waiting. We never heard the chef(s) in the back sizzling something (it's easy to hear what's going on in the back), so when the sirloin was presented to my friend, he cut into it and it looked boiled or microwaved???? I'm not sure how to explain it, but the meat was practically jiggling and oozing of blood still (he ordered medium rare but it looked the rarest) and when he bit into it, he mentioned that he can still taste the blood. We ended up paying and leaving, and he ended up bringing it home to have his dad cook the sirloin for him. We arrived at 10pm and left Denny's around 12:30am. I understand that coming in at a late hour, they might have not had enough supplies... even if it was a 24 hr spot. Nevertheless, we were appreciative of the lady server as she offered us refills of our drinks, and I hope she doesn't think we were angry at her either. Love going to this Denny's. They recently renovated inside. New bar type area to sit at. All new tables and chairs. No more carpet. It is all hard floor like. New light fixtures. New modern feel. Pictures on the walls. I have been going here for years. The staff is always friendly and the service is excellent. The food is always great as well! It's open 24/7 every single day, even all holidays. Can order to go. The menu is always changing. Love the breakfast options. Coke Freestyle machine is a plus! Great pancakes, waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs and so much more. It's always busy during breakfast/lunch time. Service is still great. Like I said staff is great. read more

Went in here for dinner yesterday as we were in the mood for breakfast food. We walked in to a huge dining room, this place is big! We were seated right away and Brittini took out drink order, she was really nice. Our breakfast plates came within 15 minutes and were made up perfectly--love the new pancakes! The bacon here was nice thick cut bacon, not like the thin microwave kind I received in Buffalo the other day, it was delicious! I will definately be back here the next time I'm in town. read more

We've eaten at the Denny's in Batavia many times in the past and generally enjoyed our meals. Today, however, our experience was really bad. We were seated at a booth that was nearly in the kitchen (other booths were available in the main dining room area). The wall and light fixture over our table were covered with small flies. They buzzed our meals and drinks. We brought the flies to the attention of the cashier and heard her pass the information to a manager. He didn't appear to be concerned. A significant number of flies, particularly juvenile flies, is a strong indicator that the restaurant is not being properly cleaned or maintained. Next time we visit Batavia, we'll find a cleaner place to eat. read more

My family and I visited Denny's for dinner on a mid-Saturday afternoon. My 2 son's ordered the Macaroni cheese off the kids' menu, and one ordered with bacon and the other ordered with pancakes. They both ordered chocolate milk which came in baby-sized cups and of course, they leaked. The macaroni and cheese was basically something that we could cook from home. The bacon was 2 strips and the pancakes were 3 good sizes. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, and when it was brought to him, it didn't even have cheese on it, and when he asked the waitress about it, she informed him that he said a hamburger. So she took it back to have a slice of cheese melted on it, but when it came back it wasn't even melted. He said after attempting to eat it, that it tasted like tar and the roll was toasted, which was not asked as an option. I ordered a BLT and it came with french fries. The bread was toasted a little bit too much and was hard around the edges. The fries were a little too salty. Several times of going, have had food that was either cold, under cooked, or in the case of steak a cut of meat that should have been thrown to dogs rather than served for a dinner. Tonight, October 17th, I got a double cheese burger that was luke warm, like it was sitting there waiting for the rest of the food, in a restaurant that was mostly empty. I had it sent back to be heated up, they heated the entire burger, not just the meat, they heated the buns, onions, and lettuce. Oh, and the pickles. Not just from the meat being hot, I mean they threw the entire thing into a microwave and heated it up to piping hot. Now its hot, but the entire thing was hot. Not what I call service in my eyes. Make new ones gods damn it. I would suggest going ANYWHERE else that's open if you are looking for anything burger or beef, like Sport of Kings, or 5 Guys. Don't go to Denny's, let them be the only thing open to the bar crowd that gets out at 2 am and don't know what they are even eating anyways. read more

so me and my friends have gone there twice now and the first time was great no problems and the food was good, i just went again with almost the same people and the entire thing was kinda sickening. i orders a chocolate shake and i got it and they gave me the extra what was left in the mixer cup and as im pooring it into my cup i notice a straw wrapper in the cup, no huge deal accidents happen but as i got to the bottom of the mixing cup was a clump of rolled up napkins that im guess were used for something idk but it was gross considering i just drank the same shake. so i didnt make it a big deal, had to wait like 15 minutes for the waiter to come back around and i pointed out to her that my shake had stuff in it and asked for a new complimentary drink (lemon aid) and she said of course and 5 minutes later brings me back a not looking lemonade drink but i tried it and my friend tried it we both said it tasted like really gross water like almost dishwasher water so again i told the waiter that i asked for lemon aid and then she brought me it finally. still not bad but a little annoyed until i had to pay, they made me pay for the shake, i told them that i have no problem paying for the lemonade cause it was actually a decent drink but i was not going to pay for a shake that had dirty crumpled up napkins in it and they refused to let it go cause i still drank some of the shake. a shake that had dirty napkins mixed in with the shake yeah what a waist of $7. it basically ruined the rest of my meal but whatever they wanna be pissy about making a customer pay $7 for a drink that they half ass made that was unsanitary read more

Recently 2 friends and I ate at this location on a Sunday night around 8. We all ordered breakfast items. I ordered an omelette which was quite large and cooked properly, but mostly tasteless. Unfortunately, it was sitting in a pool oil which was coming from the hash browns. I ordered the hash browns "well done." They were only slightly browned on the top, the rest were soft and very greasy. My English muffin was toasted nicely but served with only a "spot" of butter or margarine (who knows what) on only one half. The food was a waste I barely ate any. The men's room was messy and filthy. The service was pretty good, our orders arrived quickly. Maybe they should concentrate on food preparation quality instead of quick service.
