I'm a local guy. Grew up here and I'm anchored here by family. I was looking at what my Last few meals might be like, before heading home. This was my second time at Brockport Diner this week and that being the case my thoughts are a bit split. The first stop I had a custom 3 ingredient omelette with potato and toast. Second stop I had the trio with potatoes and sausage patties with French toast. The omelette was maybe a bit over done. I don't fault the diner though, I like soft scramble eggs so I really shouldn't have had an omelette in the first place. The fried potato's are amazing here! Wait staff was excellent on both trips and there is always an acceptable amount of local customers that make Brockport Diner a nice throw back to traditional eating in the village. I'm somewhat of a regular here. I usually come for breakfast, and I'm always satisfied. One person can get a full breakfast for less than $20, and the servers have always been very kind. Really good! The food is fantastic, but when I asked for a PLAIN bagel with butter on it, the server told me: "Well then it's not plain with butter on it." We went there for breakfast Sunday morning. Lucky for us it wasn't crowded yet and we didn't have to wait to be seated. The hostess sat us at a booth and the waitress came over within a few minutes with our water and coffee and took our order. Which came out pretty quick. This spot is really cute and has a lot of good food, the service is really nice but the cooks are kind of rude. I'm vegetarian and had to go inside 3 different times to swap the cup of meat sauce for marinara. My husband went in the last time for me and the servers were very polite, understanding, and apologetic, but the cook raised his voice at one of them, saying "they don't offer marinara it has to be made" however it seemed like common sense to me that if i asked for marinara two different times already, it's pretty clear i don't want meat sauce, so if the marinara has to be made then just make it when it was asked for the first time and you won't be asked two more times for a cup of marinara. This experience is the second time we've been here, both experiences the food was amazing! But, the whole marinara incident put a bad taste in my mouth. It's very hard to find vegetarian-friendly places, especially with food i found myself bragging about how good it was (seriously, the bread is so soft and the eggplant is cooked perfectly!) and we actually drive all the way from Lockport literally just to eat here, but i don't think we'll be doing that anymore. If you're living in or close to Brockport and want to eat some good food you'll definitely find it here, i'd just definitely recommend checking everything before you eat it or leave the establishment with your takeout. read more

This place is one of the classics on my list and the garbage plates are really good so are the pan cakes. All the servers (people) are Super nice and the food comes quick so u don't have to wait Long. Cold snowy night but the place was packed! Typical diner food, with great service. I had corned beef hash... probably one of the best I've had. Portion was big! Pricing reasonable! Food and service are immaculate I've eaten here three times and it's been very consistent, I recommend any breakfast items especially the pancakes. It's very affordable, staff is so friendly and patient , food comes out very quick and is always hot . Dinner wise I'd say chicken and biscuits is the best I plan to work my way thru the menu but so far haven't been disappointed. It's usually filling and with the $. I don't expect a gourmet meal or fancy salad. But, today, I got a plate of iceberg lettuce, a handful of tomatoes, and THREE Kalamata olives. I thought, maybe there were more down in the salad, but NOPE! I GOT THREE olives. The pitas were good. My party of three attended Brockport Diner on the 4th of July. Despite this, service was speedy, and all employees were smiling, which was a pleasure. My pancakes with strawberries were delicious, and the other two (who ordered Belgian waffles, home fries, eggs, and bacon) said there food was very good as well. Considering the pandemic, seating is spaced out, but the diner is small to begin with. It felt a bit cramped, and it was impossible to maintain a 6 foot distance. The atmosphere is really nice, the staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious for a very reasonable price. My favorite is the french toast. I moved to brockport about 2 years ago and in that time have tried other diners in the area and always end up coming back to this one. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Literally no wait time and while each booth is fairly close to one another, it is divided with plexiglass for peace of mind. Came here for brunch and ordered the waffle with fresh strawberries. The strawberries are frozen so they aren't really what I expected, but the waitress was super friendly and apologized for that. Once a great professor I had invited a bunch of us to breakfast here, and we had a wonderful time over waffles and French literature. They don't have turkey burgers, but they do have good breakfast sandwiches with hash browns. There is a parking lot right next door, but on the street parking is also not very hard to find. Never had to wait for a table either. They're a diner in a college town and they know it...so the service can be snooty and slow. It's a sometimes uncomfortable mix of locals and college students. I enjoy their home fries a lot and I usually go for the basic, eggs, bacon kind of things. I would recommend the salad call Chicken in the Garden though, totally worth $10. It is a large size salad that I can't barely finish. It come in taco shell, fresh green lecture, onion and tomatoes. Served with grilled or deep dried chicken tender. Mine come with grilled chicken that not too dry, soft in the inside, cook about right for the salad. Your choice of dressing, of course! This salad is totally good for a low carb diet, since there are more than enough meat to filled your meal. I got so full after eating this salad that I skipped dinner. the Beockport diner has the best Diner Burger around and on this bery planet. We used to have great time there back in the day. And the Certified Counter Critters that would congreagate sure made it lots of fun. I worked there fora while as a cook doing the late-night curly shuffle. I would scribble ideas down in the napkins and even write brief poems. I miss Ray Heller and Bob Unger and Little Rita. I even wrote some music about the place. read more
