Stay Away! On January 12, 2025. First the parking lot hadnt been touched, from the Ice Storm or the Snow. Second, inside was super COLD. Third, Waited on hour for food, finally got up and asked for the check. Was told well your food is right there. I stated I needed to leave. Waitress, shoved it back through the window and yelled make it to go. Finally got the check. Threw the food away!!! I wouldnt have touched that food at that point! So keep on driving by............. Came in at 1900 back on 12/29/2014... They were NOT busy, but took 10-15 mins to get sumone to come to the front! Place was nice since remodel! Like the license plates all over! Slow service, but it is what it is...at least sumone showed up to work! Appetizer was ok, but not the best! I asked for soup & got a bowl instead of just a cup & got charged for a bowl...BS!!! My Food was hot, t-bone steak was cooked great!! Sides were ok! Her strawberry French toast slam came out WITHOUT fresh strawberry slices as was shown in pics & listed in description... Asked Shiloh B. bout it when she finally came out of the back area...maybe 10-15 mins... "Oh yea, I saw we r out of strawberries, so we can't make it like that" Well crap, that was what she really wanted...?!? Suks ass to not b told bfor food came out or while ordering...?!? Then took forever to get togo container & check!! Then took about 10 mins or so to have sumone get upto the counter to check out?!? At least I got the Veteran discount, but only after she didn't think My Lifetime Membership card from the Veteran of Foreign Wars group was valid proof of Military service & having to get another lady out of the back to approve it!! read more

The horrible location came in. It took forever for them to see me once they sat me down. Nobody acknowledged me. They didn't even give my daughter a kids' menu. Then, after 10 minutes of sitting there with no acknowledgment, they said the fryers were down. read more

we arrived and waited for at least ten minute to get seated. a Denny's worker walked past us didn't acknowledge we needed to be seated. Waited two more minutes for someone to seat us. We were seated and prepared to order our food. i acknowledged my son has a direct egg allergy. The waitress came over some time later and informed us that pancake batter had eggs in it which was fine as long as it was cooked in the pancake that was one positive of our experience here. We waited forever to get our food though and when got our food one plate was cold. Thankfully the manager comped it. Ironically the person who walked through us to be seated was the manager. We won't be eating here again. read more

We arrived here after a long day at Holiday World, hoping to stop by and get some good food. What we got instead, was above and beyond what we expected. This is the best Denny's I've ever been in, despite being connected to a gas station. In fact, this Denny's doesn't even seem like it's connected to the gas station, it's very professional and has an amazing interior and atmosphere. The service is amazing, we got a very sweet waitress named Angel, and she sure treated us like angels. She was very helpful, patient, and super kind to us. The food.... don't get me started on the food. First, the menu selection is the most diverse I have ever seen in an establishment like Denny's. I don't know where they get their food from, but it must be from the heavens above because by golly, this food was out of this world! The dishes came out like advertised on the menu, if not better than what was shown. Not to mention, in a great time as it took about 15 minutes to feed 8 hungry teens. In a side note, their buttered toast with the strawberry jam is absolutely spectacular. I wish I could have more words to describe this experience, but words can't describe the greatness of it. Poor service we stood in the lobby for 5 minutes not even greeted and the people behind us had their food before us and we waited for our food for an hour. My pancakes were still a little under cooked, and my bacon was almost black. My dad's burger wasn't even fully cooked. This was the worst Denny's I have ever been too, and I wasn't pleased with the service. But most importantly OUR TABLE WASN'T EVEN CLEAN, I WOULD STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND. read more

The servers in this Denny's are beyond racist!!! I walked into the Denny's only to stand at the front waiting for the waitress to seat me. She just walked by me continuously making eye contact but never speaking. Finally I said excuse me and she then asked if I was dining in. She looked so aggravated as she helped me. I noticed she frequented the other tables while trying to avoid me. But nope, the A-Hole in me wouldn't allow that lol... Anyway moving forward to some this up. Three strikes. They're out! Three visits to this Dennys during peak hours and No one has ever been available to seat or wait on me. I just gave up on my third visit after seeing a mob standing at the front cashier. Everyone is either trying to pay or waiting to be seated. Waited 5 minutes just to get a table and they were pretty much empty. Got my table waitress got me my soda asked what I wanted wasn't sure she asked if I wanted a couple minutes to think 25 minutes passed and nothing watched her take multiple other order and cash people out. She was being all friendly and sitting at a customer's table talking. Pretty crazy that when I got up to speak to a manager she then wants to take my order. I said no I want to talk to the manager she said fine good luck with that with a crazy attitude and walked away. My fiance and I went here this past Fri, Sept. 23,2022. When we got there it was pretty busy. We sat down and ordered our drinks. Got them and then ordered our food and an appitizer. Our app. came out and we ate it. 25 minutes went by, all the people that were there ate and left and new people came in. Those people got their food and some ate and left and we still hadn't gotten ours. Our waitress comes over and says, I'm sorry, their being slow tonight. I said, I guess so becuase those people right there (as I pointed), just got here 10 minutes ago and they already have their food. She apologizes again and says she will go find out. About 10 more minutes later she comes back, apologizes again and says they had bumped our order. Whatever that means but she was going to go tell them to make it right now. She goes in the kitchen. We hear yelling back and forth, stuff being thrown and the manager going back there and yelling, STOP THE DRAMA! Our waitress walks out the kitchen and says I'm out! The cook walks out of the kitchen on the phone and said, Will you just come pick me up. We sat there between 5-10 minutes longer and said lets just go somewhere else. We went to the register. We told the girl we wasn't waiting anymore and wanted to pay for our 2 drinks and nachos. She started typing it in and the manager walked up, very rude by the way, she took over but told the girl that the cooks were not going to make our food because our waitress yelled at them. So the kitchen people never had any intentions of making our food. She rang it up and it was $12 and something and she said, Lets just make it $11.80. Seriously, a 20 cent discount. Solid 4, for a Dennys, at a truck stop. I had me a breakfast on a Sunday early afternoon with the after church local crowd and some truckers and others. It wasn't bad, the meal was standard Dennys, no surprises, but it was good. I eschewed the meat heavy favorites fer some veggie omelette a la me and added fresh avocado for a buck. My waitress wasn't a bombshell, but she was accurate and friendly enough, and smart and got the job done efficiently and pleasantly. As for the chap who reviewed this and said he thought he must be at a truck stop, which he referred to as a gas station, where'd you get your first clue? The hundred or so semi truck parking spots at the, wait for it, Flying J Travel Center where the Denny's is located? Or, there's a Love's across the street, and a Pilot (same company as FJ now) across Interstate 64 where all these places are within a quarter mile. Do you know where the food came from that you ate at this Denny's? (a truck), or have you any idea where the fuel came from for your vehicle that got you there? (a truck). Sorry you had to sink so low to rub elbows with the very folks that made your meal possible, bro. Anyway, I regress... As a side note, there's "Indiana's oldest restaurant" a mile down the road, but it's closed on Sundays. Maybe next time. So, I'll say that this Denny's is one of the better ones I've been to, and the hostess was very cool. Without her, maybe 3 stars, but for Dennys, top tier. read more

My boyfriend and I went here,with his kids for his birthday a few days ago. We have been here quite a few times and have always had great customer service. On this day we brought along my boyfriends birthday cake and we were going to order milkshakes to go with them. I had called ahead to make sure it was okay and I was told yes. No one to seat us,so we seated ourselves. The waitress came over and took our drink orders and gave us menus. We were still eating when she brought us the bill. Mind you, you can clearly see the birthday cake on the table. She didn't ask if we wanted plates or even dessert. We felt rushed to get out of there and it upset us both the way we were treated. She didn't even clear our empty cups when she brought us fresh drinks. Birthday dinner ruined. Waitresses standing around playing on their phones and slacking off. No manager around to make a complaint to just an older waitress whom I spoke to. Got a half hearted apology. Never going back there again. And no,they were not busy. read more

The atmosphere: Fox News blaring on every tv didn't help, nor did the two jerks with the blue tooth headsets sitting at the counter talking about whatever people talk about to strangers at a Denny's attached to a gas station talk about. Seriously though, I think gas stations attached to Denny's must be a trucker/homeless/juggalo paradise by the amount of "numbers" being called (I heard 47 before I left) which I realized meant that their shower was ready (not joking). By attached to a Denny's I mean there's a middle entrance filled with claw machines, glass figurines, Amish romance novels and hunting video games before you reach a hostess. There's also a vacuum plugged in near the counter advising the staff to never unplug. I wanted to ask but I withheld. The bathroom: I'm not sure if it's fair to even think of this as a Denny's bathroom since it's closer to the truck stop side. The floor looked like a garbage Bomb had gone off in the 80's and they just said eff it. The penmanship of the graffiti on the stall door was poor and done with a standard pen, no marker. It did inquire there may be "quality head" If I text a "dick pick" to the number given. I sent a picture of dick Clark but with no response...yet. I hate sub standard beej's I usually get at Denny's. No soap in the dispenser, the automatic towel dispenser had an extension cord to a plug across the sink. The stalls were full doors...like doors. It felt like a New York City studio apartment...in a sewer. The entrance door had a handle that I see the dirt on. I can only imagine the greasy trucker sausage fingers that wrapped their hands around it. But hey the toilets flushed so hey there's that. The food: I like to live adventurously. As such I got the newest item on the menu, a bourbon chicken skillet. The food was okay, it was more of a Chinese style teriyaki sauce. Serviceable but not mind blowing. read more

At first glance the service was slow. After watching for a while I understood this was due to a scheduling problem. Everyone was there that was supposed to be. One waitress , one manager/cook . Friday late night with county fairs and such going on ,not sure this was the brightest move on the schedulers part. The food was very good. The service being stretched very thin was also good. Might I add, with the very hot and muggy temperatures outside it was great to finally relaxe in an airconditioned establishment. It is easy to put a sweater on if you find it chilly. I just got back to my truck with my to-go order. I ordered a breakfast meal. Eggs over-easy, loaded hashbrowns very well done. What I got was eggs fried hard and cold hashbrowns with shredded cheese sprinkled on top. It looked like a hashbrown salad. So sad. read more
