I didn't want to make breakfast at campsite this morning. And honestly, I don't know how I would've did biscuits and gravy or pancakes on an open fryer. . I took a picture of the menu and the waitress said oh you're taking a picture of the logo and I said well now it's the "old logo." I ordered Granma's sampler: pancakes, bacon, hash brown casserole, biscuits on the side. Bring on the goodness ‼ My waitress Sydney is great and very attentive. She is a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store going on 3 for their training program. The manager Joe stopped at my table, I guess since I told Sydney I'm a foodie and post reviews on my FB "Ed-Ventures with Eddie" page, and I'm also a elite status contributor on Yelp Indy. Side-note: , I have made conversation with Joe about the logo change. He said yeah a lot of people were upset. He said he even got cussed at and cussed out a few times over the change. People take things way too serious these days. service and exceptional hot fresh food all around. You can order an entrée to go for only five dollars more if you order an entrée I ordered the butter pecan French toast bake normally by itself it's $11.99 but if you order with an entrée, it's five dollars and I'll take it with me for breakfast tomorrow. Food is good at best. Half the time it's either lukewarm or cold. Service is nothing to brag about. My daughter ordered the Hamburger steak dinner with cheese. When it came to the table there there was no cheese and it took many minutes to get it. Also, I had to practically tackle a waitress with a coffee pot to get a refill on my coffee. I arrived late and I departed early so I wasn't able to enjoy a meal at Cracker Barrel. What I did enjoy was a night's sleep in the Sprinter van as Cracker Barrel tolerates the RVers and allows us to use their parking lot with the polite request that we please eat while we're here. My family has been eating at this Cracker Barrel location regularly since it opened. In the past, the food has been excellent and consistent. Our most recent visit wasn't great. The food quality has declined significantly. Specifically, the pinto beans and green beans were lukewarm - they had obviously been sitting for a while. The green beans were actually shriveled. The has brown casserole was lacking in flavor and not quite done (potatoes still crunchy). The apples were not done and the glaze wasn't the right consistency.. too runny. I have ordered this exact meal for many years, it was always perfect. The only thing good was the corn muffin. My husband ordered the fish and it was cold. So, the cold/lukewarm could have been the server's fault but the rest seems to be a decline in quality. We were very disappointed to say the least but hope it was an off day and will improve. Today my wife and I went to CB for lunch and usually the food is great. Today, not so much! The trout was extremely dry and overcooked ( previously moist and very good). The loaded mashed potatoes were very gritty and tasteless and the grits were "broken", very watery and almost like instant grits. My wife's turnip greens she stated tasted awful, she couldn't even eat them. Come on Cracker Barrel, you've done better! Perhaps the chef from today needs more lessons in cooking. Latkeya. That was the name of our waitress I personally have not been to cracker barrel in years and this was the best service I've had in a restaurant a long long time even though they were packed. Kasey was the name of the waitress that didn't have a clue that came to our table. But our waitress had eve sorted out. She was unreal she took all of our orders in order and didn't mess up one thing and there were 11 of us. The hash brown casserole was amazing the biscuits and gravy were good my only complaint is that the syrup for the pancakes was half corn syrup instead of all maple syrup. read more

Very polite crew works here! I always love to browse and usually buy something at Cracker Barrel. This time was no exception. I got 2 coasters for the drink holders in my new car. I love looking at the Lodge pans and chotskeys near there. I love looking at the women's fashion stuff and right now the mermaid and beach stuff. So many pretty things to look at! I've been to Cracker Barrel more in the last month than I had been in years -- and was pleasantly surprised! Ordering is easy since you can take care of everything online. We had a last-minute change of plans due to a sick family member on thanksgiving and I was thankful for the order-ahead, low-contact takeout. My only complaint was that my chicken n' dumplins was quite low on the chicken, but I understand thanksgiving can get a little hectic and maybe we just got the last of a pan as it was much better the next time. The biscuits, spiced apples, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes -- sooo YUM. Unfortunately, the broccoli was quite undercooked and the stuffing wasn't super tasty (perhaps just not my style). Overall though, a great option! Loved having leftover biscuits for tasty breakfast sandwiches the next day, too. This week we used Cracker Barrel for 2 takeout orders to support our local Ronald McDonald house -- a dinner of chicken n' dumplins (with plenty of chicken this time!), fried chicken, fresh fruit, salad, corn, biscuits, and carrots looked and smelled fantastic + the next day's breakfast of large, fluffy pancakes with bacon and eggs was just as delightful. No wait to be seated. Store seemed a bit unclean today. Trash in the entrance and bus tub sitting next to the fire throughout the visit. Waited 5 minutes or so before I saw my waiter. Other dinners waited much longer. I ordered grilled chicken tenders with BBQ and Honey Mustard, Mashed Potatoes with Milk gravy, turnip greens, fried apples, biscuits, apple butter, sweet tea. The food was good overall. Temperature was on the lukewarm side. One of my biscuits was open like it had been recycled and the top was dried out. 2 of the tenders were half size so really only got 5 tenders this round. Waiter was efficient. He got my order correct. The phone was insanely loud though out the visit and kept ringing so that diminished the experience. Gift shop has some ice things. I tipped well and my belly is full. before the servers bring out your food they make sure everything is correct including the bread thats Grabbed with no tongs . the soggy bacon ? its thrown on a separate plate and microwaved , with no gloves . The latte machine has a dandy spoon that gets thrown beside the machine and mixes about 15 different special drinks for customers . The towels used to wipe down the tables is setting in old brown water and constantly reused . if your server smells like a fat cigarette , it's because servers get away with smoking cigarettes in the back employee bathrooms . If your server doesnt sell take home Meals , they'll get written up . Poor management team but when the dm is in the building , masks are up . Very unprofessional . New store crew needed ! read more

My wife wanted to go here. We went. They were not busy at all. We were seated immediately and that's where it went down hill. We sat there for 10 to 15 minutes before anyone came to even ask if our drink order had been taken. Then the waitress came. She took our order. I needed a refill. I literally had to walk up to someone and ask for a refill. Waiters and waitresses were walking by us and making eye contact and then just walking by. The food was excellent as usual. The only person there that was remotely helpful was Kiki. She was wonderful. If we go back I am asking for her. If she isn't working then won't eat there. She needs a raise. We got the Southern Fried chicken family dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes. There was plenty of food. I believe it says the dinner feeds 4. There were 12 pieces of chicken, plenty of sides, and 8 biscuits. It was a lot of food for the price! The chicken was good. The green beans and mashed potatoes didn't have much flavor. Both needed salt and pepper, but were still average. The sawmill gravy was average too. The staff was friendly. I ordered at prime dinner time. It was only 25-30 minute wait, which was pretty good. This was my first time ordering something other than breakfast. I love the breakfast and know that's delicious, so I'll stick to that the next time I go back. read more

I absolutely love Cracker Barrel but it has totally gone downhill. I visited this one while on a work trip, I will say my service was very fast but it wasn't good at all. I felt as though the server was annoyed I was there, and my hash browns were so overdone I had to cut them with a knife. Lastly the prices have gone up tremendously. I couldn't believe for two eggs, ham, and regular hash browns it's $12.50, that's absolutely ridiculous! It'll be a while before I try CB again. read more

In my experience this place has improved as a chain in general for sure. The quality of the food and service are leaps and bounds from where it was before. I had a burger with bacon and cheese, Mac and Cheese and Fries. The burger was medium well and cooked just as I ordered it. The flavor and amount of cheese was amazing and the bacon was crispy but not overdone. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and had a few spots from the pan, which is just how I love it. I'm a Mac and Cheese connoisseur and this stuff is right up near the top. The fries were done and crispy. They looked a little dark but that's just how I preferred them. My girlfriend had the pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. I sampled the pancakes myself and they were really savory and "jam packed full of flavor"-her. We bought a box of the mix they were so good. She said the eggs were good too. Our server, whose name I can't recall at the moment, was very friendly, assertive and made sure we were taken care of but wasn't overbearing either. Would have given less than one star, except waitress was nice. Went to pay bill and cashier looked and looked and apparently couldn't figure out her job. Passed us to another cashier who couldn't figure out what to do, kept saying it wasn't our bill, called our waitress up who said yes it was our bill. After standing in line for ten minutes waiting to get up to the cashier, I had been there ten more while they were saying it wasn't. I finally asked for a manager and he came up and was talking to the cashier and never acknowledged me, I finally told them I was leaving without paying, they finally came up with the same amount that was on the original bill!! I waited longer to pay than I waited on a table and food - ridiculous! I'm trying to get back home to my disabled husband and got a ulcer waiting to pay a dang bill. Tried to do a curbside pickup here and it was a complete fail on their part. I checked in online like it asked me to do and we waited and waited. So then I called and told them I was here and the girl I spoke with said they didn't have a order for me and I probably placed it at the wrong Cracker Barrel. So I look at my receipt and she was wrong this was the right place. So now I go inside to find my order that we had been waiting on for 20 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready just sitting there. First off...I want to thank Cracker Barrel for helping me decide, eating out is a joke. Came to this place with hopes of a seasonal food item I have yet to try. To my surprise they have (had) cinnamon roll pie...something I've never had. Ordered the cinnamon roll pie breakfast with bacon (extra crispy) and hashbrown casserole. Waited extra time to be served...which may be understandable due to covid and how busy they are. As she is putting my food on the table, the waitress remarked "I forgot to mention this before, but we do not have anymore cinnamon pie. Would you like a different pie?" !!!! Seriously??? Why couldn't she tell me this when she told my wife when she ordered, that they were out of the loaded tots?? First, the wait time was ridiculous, regardless...second, they did not have the seasonal pie that they only have for the "season" and third, why wasn't the bacon crispy...as I ordered it? Eat here if you want to wait and be disappointed...and not get your money's worth because they don't have what they advertise they do. I'm done with eating out. read more

As much as I like Cracker Barrel... unfortunately I felt as though this one was a bit subpar. Service was slow. Drinks not refilled without us having to flag someone down. They were out of meatloaf which didn't make us too happy! Food wasn't as good to the taste as normal. Best part.... Coca-Cola products! #PepsiSucks I'm sure we will be back because it's the only Cracker Barrel around here but won't be an obvious first choice unfortunately. read more

This Cracker Barrel is conveniently located by a few of the hotels and motels. There aren't many other breakfast places otherwise unless you drive a few blocks down. The ambiance remains country-like and service always has a Southern hospitality ring to it. You can shop before or after your meal but there is something for everyone in their store. The eggs are a small portion but it should be enough. It's already 2 eggs! Nothing beats the frosted apple ciders in the mugs. Maybe coffee does on certain insomniac nights. Pancakes are always extra sweet especially when you add a topping. You might end up with a toothache or two. Their receipts are always itemized if that is important. read more
