I have had Reuben sandwiches all over the world. The Reuben at Zacks is the best I have had. The corned beef is stacked high. The sauerkraut is very tart and flavorful. The clincher for me is the fact that they put the dressing on the side and allow the diner to spread the amount they prefer on the sandwich. I highly recommend this sandwich !!!! read more

I love going to mom and pop restaurants and this one did not disappoint. I had the Malibu chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and helpful answering our questions since it was our first time. The setting is pleasant with roomy tables. I'm definitely stopping here again when in the area. read more

I love this place for two reasons one the food , and two the ambiance. You know what let's start with the service the service is ok not bad not good that's why it doesn't get a 5 star rating. The food is mwa the breakfast is the best thing here mainly the hash browns m m mmmmmm. The ambiance is mainly old time themed being old items on the shelves. The milkshake were amazing and the service was good but I went with 2 of my friends we all got some sort of burger and all 3 of them was disgusting pretty much all 3 of our plates where still full when we left and it costs us $40 each not worth it, we were told it was good so we went.... The service here is outstanding- friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Fairly reasonable pricing. I personally enjoy the breakfast that they offer but do not care for their lunch or dinner menu. The lunch dinner menu seems to be and tastes like frozen food grilled up or deep fried. The vent system needs upgraded as the restaurant fills with smoke while they cook. As soon as you walk into the diner you smell deliciousness and see cakes and pasterys. The place is clean and staff is very kind and nice. My pet peeve is that they use to much pepper. Me and my famously orders corn and green beans and they had so much pepper. Had lunch here over the holiday and mine was great. I had the fried chicken which was crispy & juicy inside, very good. The service from Bailey was perfect and the place was casual & friendly. Others at the table said the prime wasn't very good because it tasted like boullion instead of real beef broth and he said it was grizzly. The monte cristo was ok but grilled instead of the traditional deep fried. I read reviews before going and thought the photos of breakfast and all fried foods looked great. Super sweet server that provided very impressive and professional service but my food was less than impressive. I ordered a skillet but my food was actually cold. I've never received a cold skillet before!! And there was so much cheese on it that I lost the taste of the food... I will certainly be back because there's a cool diner vibe, and the menu has enough items to choose from that I can pick something else. Unfortunately the first experience was not good. During a recent visit to Fort Branch for a business meeting, my associate and I were looking for a good place to eat lunch before the drive back to Louisville. We found Zack's and looked forward to the diner ambiance and food. I personally have found these types of establishments as a dying breed. They are harder to find in and around metropolitan areas and the mom and pops shut down or move further from the city. My associate had a gyro and she said it was pretty good. She`s from Milwaukee and we tend to share enough of the same palate that I can trust her enough to know I won't be disappointed. Considering that I haven't had the pleasure of having a good diner breakfast I decided to order a skillet. This skillet was top notch. With the right blend of potatoes, cheese, meat and eggs their skillet was delicious. I would have taken a picture but... I couldn't resist scarfing it down. Maybe it was the anticipation of having a skillet, maybe I was very hungry, either way, I had a great time and great food. If I'm ever in the area again, I will make a point to stop by. read more

Great little restaurant hidden away in Fort Branch. My wife and I stopped here this morning. Today they offered breakfast all day so I tried one of their breakfast skillets, delicious! My wife had a Rueben and fries which she liked. They had generous portions and very good service. We took a Beef Manhattan to go for my wife's Mother, she seemed very pleased with it. This place is great, I travel a lot for work and I alway seek out the "local flavor". This place is that all over. Super friendly people serving good food prepared by people that care. So much to choose from, so little time. Most of us opted for breakfast food. I had the gyro omelet. It sounded so unique I couldn't resist. Others at our table had french toast, country omelet, and pigs in a blanket (sausage links wrapped in pancakes) YUM YUM. Super friendly staff, clean, and very reasonably priced. Was driving back to Chicago from Nashville and we used Yelp to suggest someplace to eat. We found this place a couple blocks off of Hiway 41. It was a beautiful spring afternoon and so we ate out on the patio. This is a cute diner that is very reasonable priced. We had the creamy chicken and rice soup and it was excellent. We also had the club sandwich and a mushroom swiss burger that was juicy and delicious. For under $20 two of us had a great lunch experience. read more
