I've always loved Denny's as long as I can remember. The convenience, the pancakes, comfy booths, good service (most of the time), but lately I've noticed that not just one location but multiple now have been serving crappy coffee. Hope you can work on that so that I'll want to return. read more

We stopped into Dennys Sunday morning, greeted very quickly but Noel their GM. He's always here during rush times, works super hard and it very nice. Seated quickly too. Kaishanique, she was our server, this girl was VERY NICE. I love a little chit chat in the AM. Could hear her having chit chat with regulars, I love it. Very sweet. My fiancé and I had two newer items, the salaried banana caramel pancakes. And brisket all melt. These were all great, orders were done perfectly. Leaving very happily. Ok, it's Denny's, but sometimes I just want breakfast at 7pm. Even though they are woefully understaffed... only 4 people running this location. today. Staff is amazing. Friendly, helpful, and attentive.. Myrna was a rock star. Pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns... what more can I say? Checked all the boxes. My wife had a patty melt. It was pretty darn good. I eat at Denny's whenever I am in the neighborhood. For me the Senior's menu is great. The omlete with fruit cup is excellent every time. The staff is always courteous, timely, and friendly. This site is listed 24x7 - I couldn't order online, I could not even get anyone to answer the phone. When I tried to log into Dennys.com I constantly got the error of "THERE WAS AN ERROR". This Denny's has become horribly inconsistent and unreliable. You never know when they'll be closed. I've given up. The fact no one from Denny's has even so much as read this review (more than likely), makes me believe there is no hope in this site. There have been other Denny's that I loved. I used to come to this place very often, especially on Saturday night after the club since they had a great customer service; however, over the past year the customer service of this place has decline greatly. Yesterday night a group of 4 of us went to eat and 3 people were behind us. They let the 3 people behind us to sit before us and when I approach the general manager about this, his replied was "if you dont like it you can leave." Ever been to a Denny's at 5:30AM on a Thursday? I have. It's strange. Whether it's the long road trucker loading up on coffee, the random lady sleeping a booth, or creepy guy giving me creepy eye from a couple of booths over, the atmosphere strikes you as a little off. But hey, it's Denny's. What do you expect? For the food, well, again, it's Denny's. It's not horrible. Breakfast options are common, plentiful, and delicious. The coffee will be topped off regularly and you'll be 6 cups in before you know it. The rest of the offerings are typically anything from deep-fried somethingorother to a "fit menu" offering that usually is a little short on taste. So it's not a bad place. It's a good place for kids, and you won't leave disappointed. Just so long as creepy guy isn't there. read more

My wife and I went Sunday morning 8:45, 16 Dec 2018. Both of us ordered a simple Grand Slam breakfast. Took them 15 minutes to take our order, for a total of 40 minutes to bring us our food, then the food was cold; and they forgot the pancakes. After leaving, went to the Denny's on Thierer Road, Madison. They are the best!! They took our order within the first minute after sitting down, and received our order 5 minutes later, and it was hot!! Do not go to the East Broadway location :( read more

After a rough start, and being seated in a very noisy and over crowded side room, we asked to be seated in the main dining room. Much quieter, and relaxing... Needless to say,, thing's improved conciderably. Starting with our fantastic friendly server Mila, who attended to our needs with a smile and excellent customer service skills. The food was excellent as well. The loaded veggie omelette with fresh fruit and English Muffin was very good. As was the coffee. My wife ordered the scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, two pancakes, sausage and bacon. She said they were the best pancakes she has ever had. It's a Denny's. You come for consistent menu, consistent service and the chain experience. This location is cleaner and friendlier than the other one nearby. It's your typical diner food, not a lot of flare and not really home made flavor like you'd fine at mom & pop, but the service is stellar and feels homey. We were seated fast on a Sunday and served with a smile. Our order was quick and accurate. Solid stop while traveling and it seemed they were extra friendly with their regulars. read more

Extremely poor service!!! We came in and waited a few minutes for waitress to attend us for our drinks. We then ordered right away and after 15 minutes of waiting we still didn't have our meals. We asked why our salad and two lettuce wrapped burgers were not ready yet.. Waitress said a worker from the kitchen left because they had a emotionally meltdown.. Few minutes later we waited and food finally arrived. I was missing my side of broccoli . We got that a couple minutes later. We come here almost weekly after going out. The staff and management are so great. They are fun to talk with and always get us a nice hot meal and cup of coffee to wind down the evening. They also put up with our shenanigans on the regular. I just recently found out that they provide their space for community organizers too. Thanks Denny's! read more

We WERE customers of Denny's at 1201 E Broadway, Monona, WI 53716 location for over 30 years, but I will never set foot in that store again, in fact, we may never set foot in a Denny's again after our treatment at that location. We had a nasty and lazy server, who could not be bothered to walk 10 feet to inquire whether I could get Sriracha seasoning on my chicken breast as it was prepared for me at another Wisconsin Denny's location. Instead of asking as I had politely requested, she told me that they had no Sriracha seasoning, that I would have to have Buffalo sauce, after my fourth request for her to just please step over to the kitchen to inquire for me and her nasty arguing back, I had decided to just have a $2.00 snack instead of a full meal. My husband then opened the menu to your burger section and read the language to her describing :Sriracha seasoning", to which she rolled her eyes and finally went to inquire. This exchange took over 5 minutes. When she returned she said said yes I could have Sriracha seasoning, but made no apology for her poor behavior. My husband then ordered just a quesadilla because she was so disagreeable. When our food arrived, my husband asked if he could have some salsa, This server then told him the pico WAS SALSA. When my husband said, no that it was pico and he would like some salsa, she began to again argue that he could not have salsa with his quesadilla because :"it does not come with that". My husband told her that another Denny's where he had had the quesadilla probably a hundred times always served it with salsa and he liked it that way, and she stated no Denny's served salsa with any quesadilla. My husband finally said "Don't argue with me, please just bring me some salsa". We finished our dinner, and had even decided to leave this girl a $5.00 tip although she did not deserve it, but when we paid our bill, the manager decided to loudly attack us for asking for salsa with the quesadilla, and said "just so you know, I have not charged you for the salsa this time, but in the future, you will be expected to PAY $.25 for your salsa, you can't come in here and expect to have items that are not on the menu without paying for them!" We tried to explain to her that she did not hear the exchange and that we asked for nothing for free, that we had inquired whether we could get salsa because it had been served to us before, and in fact was at that very Denny's the week before, and that he thought it was petty and unprofessional for her to try to publicly humiliate us by making a scene that made us appear to be trying to get free food and that we would not be back to Denny's unless she apologized, she replied, "you can't talk to me like that, get out of my restaurant." I called the Denny's after we left and asked for the name of this rude manager, and heard her give a completely FALSE account of the interaction to a man she said was the owner before she turned the phone over to him. I found his response to be on par with the poor behavior of his employees. We are business owners in this community for 33 years, without a single customer complaint, my husband is also very prominent in several service organizations in the Madison area. We have brought large groups into Denny's frequently for decades. Perhaps this location did not recognize who we were this a.m., since we had just come from working at a farm and were wearing old clothes, but NO ONE deserves to be treated like we were treated, and certainly no one deserves to be publicly accused of trying to get something for nothing by an unprofessional and rude manager that was not present during the bad behavior of an employee toward her customers. We will take our business to Perkins in the future, they are clean, friendly, and professional. read more
