Triple berry salad with grilled chicken

It has been a minute since we have been here. Very good service and food. It was at 1:30 and they did have a table but a reservation is recommended. Seating was quick. We had a wonderful server, Liliana, who was very kind and exceptional!!! Highly recommend and as always, impressed. Turkey burger $15, 2 piece cod dinner $16

Buck and Honey's quickly became my favorite restaurant during my visit to Madison so much so that I went back a second time. Both visits were outstanding. My servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made each experience feel special. I started each meal with an apéritif, and I have to highlight the Smoked Crown Apple Old Fashioned. Hands down the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Highly recommended! For dinner, I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Pasta with shrimp, and it was excellent -- flavorful, well-prepared, and memorable. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant, with the added option of outdoor seating. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Wisconsin so I can dine here again!!

Prime Rib!

Six of us dined here on Saturday night after a long at the nearby annual Beer Fest. It was a gametime decision to go as we wanted to shower at the hotel but we got a second wind and headed over to B&H. We are glad we did. The host staff and our waiter was very friendly. There were 3 of us that ordered the special which was the 16 oz Prime Rib (Med Rare of course!) My cousin had some apps and that Firecracker Shrimp was amazing! Unfortunately, there were 2 issues that night. First, was a few of us ordered a small side salad but only a few minutes later our entrees came. I wish it was spaced out better. Then my wife had Bone In Ribeye and ordered it Medium Rare. When she got it, it was more Medium. She asked our server to bring back another one Medium Rare this time and he said "Let me talk to my manager and I'll be back". Several minutes passed then his manager came with a new steak. This time it was Medium rare but there was a break down in communication somehow. Parking is available in their lot and their ambience is cool.

Cute spot. Food was good at a great price. Service not the best. However I would return, but with my travel prob not. Good time though. The lack of education and mindfulness behind the bar is the lack of a star.

I have had many fried pickles and these were hands down the best I have ever had. They were so fresh tasting and the tempura was so light. This was also my first experience with cheese churds since I am from VA. They were so good. Would defiantly order them again. The cod was light and had great flavor. The other thing I didn't really care for was the garlic mashed potato. Coleslaw was light and excellent flavor. Wine was good. Service was okay but they were packed.

A really fun spot to grab a meal with good views and a relaxed feel! We were there for lunch and had great service and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The Flower Sprouts appetizer was our favorite with the Sassy curds as a close second. We'd love to visit this place again! Highly recommend reservations!

First time at a Buck and Honeys - Came for brunch/lunch. Although their website says lunch only served M-F, their lunch menu is available on Saturday and Sunday. We were there for a leisurely time and told the server up front that we would be there awhile. Started off with drinks - I had there expresso martini which was delicious- came with a cute cat design on the foam - that is made from a machine. They have a QR code that you can send a design to and it will print it - pretty cool! We split the bacon wrap dated and the tuna on crispy rice cakes. The tuna was spicy with a slice of jalapeno on top but so good. The bacon was crispy and the goat cheese was creamy inside the date. I had the eggs Benedict special which was with filet, mushrooms and a spicy sauce. It came with melon and hashbrowns. I believe the bread was a ciabatta bun. It was good - but the eggs was almost semi hard and it was light on the steak. My friends had the fish tacos and a side salad - which they both very much enjoyed. Service was great - she didn't rush us and we never felt we overstayed our welcome. Would definitely come back when the patio is open!

The Cure

I've been here numerous times before but I'm posting because I couldn't find any photos of their brunch menu on Yelp. I was hoping to preview before I ordered. I got "The Cure" - everything bagel with a fried egg, very thick bacon, and pepper jack. The bacon is super thick, almost like pork belly (which i love). The sandwich was delicious but it's huge. Hashbrowns cooked to perfection. Mimosa flight was great as well (very sweet, like candy). My wife likes less sweetness in her drinks and thin crispy bacon, so our experiences were different. But if you're like me it's great.

We're in town a for a couple podcast live recording shows and decided to eat dinner near our hotel. This place looked neat. Upon entering, there were 4 groups of people in line ahead of us with more starting to line up behind us. I was nervous that there'd be a long wait. The hostess got us in right away. This place is massive with indoor seating and outdoor seating. They have a cool bar area too. You could feel how busy the place was but everyone seemed happy and on top of what they were doing. I ordered the veggie centricity and it was amazing! I would eat way more veggies if I could prepare them how they did. Cauliflower mashed, Brussel sprouts, additional cauliflower all so good. I love the fried polenta. My boyfriend liked his stuffed chicken. The sauce was really good. This place looks to be a Madison maybe Dane county chain so if I am near one again, I'd for sure come back.

I've visited Monona Buck & Honey's a few times now. Service is always pretty good. There were 12 or so of us in the 1 or 2 servers checking on us regularly who brought drinks and food quickly. A charcuterie platter was out when we arrived. We had a meeting in the hidden room in the basement. There was a large monitor our hosts were able to project the meeting information on.

Yes, the wine is obviously good too with a selection for all preferences. I've been here a few times now, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I cannot get over how good their food is! I've now tried every single flatbread on their menu, and they're all outstanding! Even their steak gorgonzola flatbread is incredible and I don't like steak! They also have the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever tasted, and they're served with these delightful warm pieces of pita bread... I'm pretty sure this stuff came right out of an oven. On my most recent visit, I actually ended up getting an Old Fashioned and my dining mate got a cosmo. Both were absolutely fantastic. The bartender even came over and said the last bit of the cosmo he made tasted like it was heavy on the lime and he offered to re-make it... I'd call that service to the hilt! There was no need to re-make the cosmo, however, as we both found it to be delicious. The bar also has some really great high end liquors and craft beer options. They also have NA options. So, while it is a fun wine bar where you get to self-service pour your own wine, don't let the name fool you -- this place has something for everyone. I've also come here with a friend who has a gluten allergy and they have gluten free bread for their delicious flatbreads. Overall this place is great for an intimate night out or a night out with the girls. They have plenty of seating and an upstairs area with games and such as well. There's an outdoor patio as well for when the weather cooperates. I cannot recommend this place enough!

A couple of my friends opted for whiskey flights that they had been looking forward to sipping. And then a couple of us did the wine option. I didn't understand how it worked at first but it is very simple -- you get a little card to swipe at the wine machines and then you can choose whichever wine you want. You can opt for a small tasting pour or more of a traditional pour. At the end of the night you return your wine card and pay for whatever you had. I have heard of this type of wine bar before but hadn't tried it yet. It's brilliant! Everyone enjoyed their drinks and it was fun to try some new wines and whiskeys. I would definitely come back to enjoy the tots and some different wines next time!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the host, who we later found out was a AG Manager Dillon. He immediately made us feel welcome. After we were seated, Dillon brought us water right away and let us know that our server, Kyle, was helping a few other tables but would be over shortly to take our drink order. We really appreciated the communication, as so many restaurants leave you wondering where your server is. We had seen the Date Night menu online, which included a choice of wine. Since we don't drink alcohol, we asked if we could substitute a pitcher of iced tea instead. Dillon was happy to make that happen, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also had a wonderful conversation with him while getting settled. Seems like he has a wonderful future ahead with schooling. Always wonderful to see kind and hardworking young matured adults. Kyle soon came by with our tea, introduced himself, and took exceptional care of us throughout the evening. He made sure we were comfortable, anticipated our needs, and even surprised us with extra desserts alongside our beignets to celebrate our anniversary. His hospitality was truly top notch, and he made our evening feel special. For dinner, we ordered the etouffe and the shrimp bbq dish, and both were absolutely delicious! There were so many other menu items that caught our eye, so we'll definitely be back to try more. What impressed us most was watching the team work together. We were hoping for a little guidance or enthusiasm about the menu, but she never really talked about the food. When we asked what she recommended, her response was simply, "Snapper." Every question we asked was met with very short, one word answers. She wasn't busy. She just seemed completely uninterested. Having worked in restaurants for most of my life, I know hospitality is about creating an experience. Bartenders are representing the restaurant and helping guests feel excited about the menu. If this were my restaurant, I would be disappointed by that level of service. The food itself was just okay. The presentation was beautiful and definitely deserving of five stars, but the flavor did not live up to how impressive it looked. After reading other Yelp reviews, we also realized a 20% gratuity had already been added for our party of two. We did not notice it at the time and tipped on top of it. While that was our oversight, it made the experience even more disappointing given the lackluster service.
