Worst service I've ever received at a Denny's. Staff seems to be totally confused and clumsy

Three strikes and you're out as the saying goes but only gave two and that was one try too many!!!! These visits (one when first opened) and one months later were easily (especially the latter visit) THE WORST possible visits ever anywhere. Not only waited for staff (even though they were not busy) but the food consistently awful and just plain wrong!!! After 40 minutes when decaf had not arrived, I asked where was my coffee? Told they have no decaf and would have to brew it. Lo and behold waitstaff walks away and comes back immediately with coffee (have to have decaf mind you for medical reasons so I'm suspicious it is here at table so quick) FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN SERVED COFFEE WITHOUT ICE THAT IS COLD!!!! That's just one of many examples. Save your valuable time and taste buds along with aggrevation and either go to the grocery store or move on down the road. pitiful. I don't even want to give them one star. My boyfriend and I went to the Denny's last night. It was about 1030 when we walked in. Not really that late. I just got off work and was tired and starving. Took a while for the server to get to the table and when she did she didn't even say hello or sorry for the wait, nothing. I had to repeat the word "coffee" to her multiple times until the lightbulb went off. Waited forever for her to bring the coffee, then waited on her to bring the creamer. All the while watching her laughing with her friends behind the server station. Finally drinks are all over and we order food. She came back three times to ask us mindless questions. Then we waited. We got our food at 1130. You do the math. It was also cold, undercooked, and just all around gross. Even my pancakes were mostly batter. She forgot to put in our order, and rushed the food. Didn't get any refills throughout that whole waiting. She brings out. Check when she brings out food. She ended up giving us another tables check. (The table numbers are on the table, it can't be that hard to figure out which check is which.) So we go up front to pay and get the right check. She then has the nerve to come up to the cashier and say, "maybe next time y'all will know to come at breakfast next time." I have never wanted to physically hurt someone so bad in my entire life. I hope this long review will save some people the time and money. It's absolutely disgraceful to breakfast food (which you can eat at anytime of the day!) read more

When food is good, I do hate to rate so low. We were excited to have Denny's here, we're pleased with our food and our server did an ok job. Monday evening was painful, however. It didn't take long to recognize management and training were the issues. The organization of waitstaff and table assignments was dreadfully poor. There was a group of "patrons" in a nearby booth who were obviously known by the manager and one particular waitress who spent way too much time at that very loud table. They were there when we arrived and food had not been delivered to that booth when we left- simply because they did not order, probably because every member of their party made several trips in and out of the restaurant. They seemed more interested in visiting, loudly, than eating. A group of three people came in and no one even went to their table until the someone finally looked up and sent the closest waitress, obviously sections had not been assigned? I would like to try again, but hopefully after things have changed a bit. Denny's PLEASE train your servers and managers, we want you to be successful. read more

I eat here regularly because of the waitstaff here. I am always greeted with a smile and get my food promptly. Everyone here is always nice, but you are lucky if you get Dee Dee as your server. She is awesome! read more

Can I give them negative stars? Can't review the food, we never got it. Was fine with the wait to get seated, Mothers Day, we expected waiting. When the server finally got to our table, she took our drink and appetizer order. Then we waited...I could see the server in the service area - not getting our drinks...we waited. She finally came back, told us she had not put in our order because we did not order our meals at the same time as the appetizer. She had waited all this time to tell us she had not even put in our order! She blamed management. We left. Total waste of an hour, with a side of aggravation. Lipstick on my husband's coffee cup. Leftover syrup on my plate & on my club sandwich-dirty dishes is apparently the norm there. Horrible wait for food, then food was cold. Unprofessional manager. Waitress said she "got yelled at" by manager for getting our toast she forgot. Manager tried to make waitress pay for the lipstick coffee...caused confrontation when we were leaving. Terrible experience. Just go to IHOP. read more

We came on a very busy Sunday morning. The place was packed. It took almost an hour to get our food and when we did it was wrong. The one bright spot in our visit was our waitress Roneishia. She was amazing. She did everything she could to keep us informed and was very attentive. Being a server is a rough job, and she does it with grace. read more

The food was delicious and came out quickly, however, incomplete. The server went back for the remainder of the order and then we never saw her again until we had been finished and waiting to leave. Another server came by at one point to refill the water but no other drink refills and the restaurant was definitely not busy. There were maybe 5 tables seated and about 7 servers. This could easily be a great breakfast spot which this town sorely needs but the wait staff will ruin it if they dont provide service. The cook staff was on point, congrats to them. read more

This is my boyfriend and I's go-to breakfast place in Nac. We love DeeDee & Jeanett, but besides them, the service can be hit or miss. The breakfast food always seems to impress! read more

They told us they were backed up in the kitchen due to a "full house". That was a lie. Their manager a tall skinny white male did not have his things together. He was yelling across the restaurant and not making the situation better. Took 50 mins to get breakfast to me. read more

We come in all the time, my boyfriend and I work late so this is usually the perfect option for us. After tonight I don't think we will ever come back. Working in the serving industry I understand bad attitudes but this went beyond it. Our waitress was Clarissa and from the minute she came to our table she was rude and proved she did not want to be there. It started with us not realizing she was waiting for us to order and her going "i am waiting" with a sigh, then basically making a big deal out of everything we wanted to modify (which wasn't much). I asked for chocolate chip pancakes and I have never had a server huff at that type of modification. Then right after we got our food she dropped the check. I was barely done with my omlette and he had gotten about half way done with his skillet. I wanted a root beer and she never came by to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. She dropped the food off in a rush and left. Very poor service, we decided we no longer want to eat here if this is how we will be treated. read more

My wife and I have been going to this location for several months each Sunday morning. This morning was a vastly different experience. Upon arrival there was on two people working the front. We had to ask to be seated by who I believe to be a manager. My coffee and my wife's water was brought out and given menus. Over ten minutes later and nobody had come to take our order. Meanwhile I observed the two customers at the bar if they needed anything else. I left the money to pay for my coffee and got up to leave. At the door we were met by the waitress and asked if we were going to the restroom. Duh, what did she think? There has obviously been a change in management and the wait staff from what we experienced 2-3 weeks ago and it is not for the better. We won't be back anytime soon, Kinfolks and IHOP are better choices for breakfast. read more

Went to this location last night with my mother and girlfriend. I was served very, very obviously burnt pancakes. My girlfriend was charged $7 for two eggs and two sausage, even though I had just ordered two eggs and two sausage and two pancakes for $4. My mother was given water that tasted like it came from the toilet. read more

My husband and I have been to many Denny's around the country and have never waited an hour and a half just on our food, until we went here. It truly was not busy, you could see waitstaff standing around while 5 people in the kitchen wandered around lackadaisical. Our waitress came to our table 4 times to tell us "your food will only be a few more minutes". The last time she came she told us that our food had been on the bottom of the list and they're making it right now. I told her don't worry about it, we're paying for our drinks and appetizer (cheese sticks) because we have plans. We then waited another 10 minutes for someone to take the entrees off our receipt. The manager never offered to pay the $10 bill, or even give us a coupon, all we got was "Sorry". The whole experience lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes, we ordered a salad and scrambled eggs with bacon. It took 20 minutes just to get someone to bring us drinks. It took another 15 min.utes for some one to take our order. Then after about an hour waiting we finally got our food which was warm but not hot. Then after eating not even half of our food, the girl asked at the cash register would we like to leave a tip. I quickly said no. They need new management in this place because obviously they don't know how to run a restaurant. read more
