My order consisted of sausage/eggs/toast and potato chunks. The plate looked quite bland, not extremely appealing, the sausage was dripping so much oil that i used two napkins to soak up the residual. The eggs cooked as requested, the potato chunks were dried up as if left over from the previous day. I have never before seen assorted jams repackaged in small containers and left out on the table. This was the first time i have been offered a visa machine to pay where the tip starts at 15%. Next time in Nanton we will not return to the Bridge but try another restaurant.

I'm posting the menu here because I couldn't find much internet presence for the restaurant (thus the lack of tourists). I had the donair, which had the traditional Canadian sweet sauce on it. Being American, I've never had a gyro or doner kebab like that, but it was delicious. Wife had a chicken pot pie, which she said was good. We split a small poutine for starters and it was fresh and very good. The chicken pot pie came with a sort of Greek salad with a sweetish Italian vinaigrette. Wife really liked it. Mine came with a surprise - a huge mound of french fries. Shouldn't have done the poutine too! Everything was delicious, the service was prompt and super friendly, and the restaurant was comfortable. Prices were fair for being a tourist town and the large portions. Worth consideration by more tourists!

The sandwich was costly, at $18.75 and only had a third of a regular sized chicken breast. Although the taste was decent, it was not worth the wait, nor price, and I did not finish the Iced Coffee either. I saw one of the cooks come out of the washroom, then back into the kitchen preparing food without a wash at the kitchen sink. So, in order to leave the washroom, one has to unlock the latch and open the door, well since not everyone washes their hands when they leave a washroom, I think you get where I am going. There are too many better diner experiences in Calgary, I am done with Diner Deluxe!
