Veggie 21 burger with fries. The veggie patty was large, but flavorless and soft. It needed seasoning and crisping on sides.
    Yolanda S.

I ordered the veggie 21 with a double patty. The food came out quick. And service was good. The sandwich was nothing to write home about although it was filling. Denny's uses 21 different vegetables in the party. I liked the size of the patty but the patty lacked flavor. Denny's didn't use any seasoning at all. No salt or anything in that patty. I've had veggie burgers that were incredibly flavorful. When they make the patty several seasonings are incorporated into it. This wasn't the case with the veggie 21. It was totally flavorless. Unfortunately. And on top of being totally flavorless the patty was so soggy and mushy it appeared half done. Veggie burger Patty's are cooked so that on each side it has a firmness. They crisp up the sides. This wasn't the case at all. I understand veggie burgers won't hild texture like beef but they certainly are not suppose to be this soft and spongy. The fries were ok.

Cali club with wilted lettuce! Cali Club Sandwich terrible poor customer service

Had wilted lettuce parts of the thinly sliced ham some cooked some not! Staff with attitudes the restaurant was partially empty. It had maybe six people the staff was in the back sitting around talking when I complained about my food attitude. I will never go back to this place again now I know why it was rated to be it should be rated C for not keeping food at the right temperature

First time at this location, although service was good, quantity is skimpy than the other Denny's I've been to. He got the pot roast melt, it was good, but barely any meat. Bread was nicely buttered and toasted, hashbrowns were crispy, but barely any there, isn't "stacked" like usual. I got the philly egg white omelet, had 4 pieces of meat, barely any veggies or cheese, and extremely oily. My sides were 7 slivers of sauteed zucchini. What I like is that you can get egg white, any sides and any bread including pancakes without an uncharged. If you want cheap diner food with huge portions, don't come to the Denny's in Ridgeland, stick to Pearl.

They came up on multiple recommendation lists as a place for great food in a cute restaurant atmosphere. We were so pleased to enjoy brunch here. First off, our server was such a gem. He was incredibly kind and provided standout service. Upon his recommendation, we ordered the duck fat hashbrown. It was a rich and decadent dish with crispy potatoes, eggs, bacon and covered in sauce! I was able to get my eggs scrambled although they usually come sunny side up. It was incredible delicious! Overall Rating: (4.5/5)So close to perfection. As someone who's constantly recommending Elvie's to everyone, here's my one small critique: If the Duck Fat Fries aren't available as the side with the Steak Frites, I'd love the option to substitute them--or, at the very least, not be charged extra for a side of garlic aioli to enjoy with the fries. For an entrée that's already on the pricier side ($$$$), that little touch would go a long way. That said, thank you for now accepting brunch reservations, keeping Happy Hour alive, and consistently delivering exceptional service and outstanding food. Those are the reasons Elvie's remains one of my favorite restaurants in the city. We'll definitely be back!

Visiting relatives in Jackson, they recommended Broad Street for takeout lunch so I treated and…read morepicked up the order. This review is strictly based on my Shrimp Po-Boy which had the worst fried shrimp I've ever experienced. It was cooked beyond belief and felt like chewing rubber. Breading was probably tasty had the order been properly cooked but could not tell. I had my wife taste a piece, she confirmed my opinion. Bread was buttered and grilled but did not have the feel of a real po-boy bun as if it were on the old side which is strange as the place is a bakery. I don't know what dressing was used, tasted like plain mayo. This is a strong do-not-ever-order recommendation. Fries were good, probably cut fresh. If I ate in, the order would be sent back to the kitchen. My replacement would likely have been better but QC on the takeout was lacking. I understand it's a popular spot in Jackson and was certainly full when I picked up the order. My meal, sadly, was quite forgettable. Other meals that were part of the order seemed OK but, in my eyes, uninspired. Edit: Heard from the manager with with an apology and offer to make up for the issue to my local relatives since I'm only a visitor to the area. I'm convinced that this was a one-off issue and greatly appreciate the manager reaching out. I'll give them another try on my next visit and will update things accordingly.

We walked in…read morearound 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again!
